Hello, friends!
This game is part of the Official Pathfinder Society PbP Game Day. For more information please visit: http://PbPGameday.com
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–5.
Few societies have so vaunted a tradition of leading crusades as Taldor, yet the constant revisions to its history by scheming factions leaves the truth obscured by countless acts of political modifications. Even the lauded Kitharodian Academy’s texts are riddled with these changes, so when a secretive ally approaches the Pathfinder Society with information about a hidden archive that contains the unaltered histories, the Pathfinders plan a daring infiltration to recover the secrets of Taldor’s past victories so that Mendev might benefit from the discovery.
Content in "Library of the Lion" also contributes directly to the ongoing storylines of the Cheliax / Dark Archive, Grand Lodge, and Taldor / Sovereign Court factions.
Think of this more as “Mission Impossible” adventure, than a classic dungeon-crawl/hack-n-slash one you’ve been before. So combat-oriented characters with Int and Wis below 10 aren't welcome
Please post from your PFS alias in this thread in case you'd like to apply and confirm your participation in DM Kludde’s spreadsheet. I plan to start adventure November, 3rd, 12:00 GMT and willing to finish it December, 15th midnight. Players are free to choose continue or take partial reward at that point.
Requirements:
* PFS valid PC. Alias updated. Avatar present.
* Backstory not required, but nice to have.
* Roleplay welcome, until it breaks the story or ruins module experience for others
* Posting freq: 1/day or more. Weekend is not so strict, but would like to see at least some of you active. If we are in combat and there is no reply for you in 24 hours, I will bot you, full-defence you or withdraw you to location of zero danger. Roleplay for your paladin to justify this actions afterwards are very welcome.
In game:
* I pre-roll Perception & Sense Motive in case they are required.
* I give pretty informative descriptions of environment, so empty checks (without roleplaying what exactly are you doing) are most likely be wasted.
* Feel free to look under spoiler tags, unless they are “Secret DM Rolls”, have character name (and it is not yours) or check requirements (f.e, Spellcraft DC17).
In combat:
* I pre-roll Perception & Initiative in start of combat. If both sides win/lose, I SKIP surprise round.
* If no Stealth order from party, I use (Take10 lowest Stealth -5) as static party Stealth modifier for counter checks. Same for monsters.
* I waive Perception penalty for location in party. No difference are you first or last one for those.
* I use GOOGLE DOCS as location for editable maps. Don't forget to move your avatar around battlefield, or describe your movements.
* I use cover rules for combat, unless they complicate situation too much. Basically, if there is no way, you can draw a line from your square's corner to enemy square's corner without it crossing COVER (usually massive object or your ally), enemy has soft/hard cover. You never injure your ally if they are covering enemy, but you can miss enemy, because of them.
* It's OK to act or put action before your initiative, but not before enemies done their actions.
* All mechanics should be in OOC tags. More than 4 dice rolls in row, should be in SPOILER tag.
* During combat, I track all changes for every character since combat start (like, -17hp)
* Please, prefix your posts during combat with this information.
Round X, Init Y
hp/hpMAX (nonlethal: ?), HD X; AC X, Touch Y, FF Z, CMD ??; Fort +?, Ref +?, Will +?; Conditions or Effects: empty;
* After combat is over, your alias character sheet should be updated to include information of used resources (like arrows or potions), abilities (like, rage), gained conditions (like, nauseated or fatigued), etc (like, spells or something).
* I post detailed monster stats, like hp/hpMAX (nonlethal: ?), HD X; AC X, Touch Y, FF Z, CMD ??; Fort +?, Ref +?, Will +?; . Feel free this information in your combat posts and give appropriate description of your actions and results.
* In case you provoke AoO and you know monster stats (attack and damage) from previous posts, feel free to roll it and apply effects on yourself accordingly. It’s OK, if you tumble past unsuccessfully, lost 90% hp because AoO critter you and you decided to go out of monster reach instead of flanking.
* Fallen enemies and allies are difficult terrain, so you cannot charge/5ft step through them.
Please, keep game thread as much cinematic and as less mechanics as possible.
Except of OOC tags of course.
Any more questions, feel free to discuss it below.

@Onyor & Aramil - welcome!
@Amelia, according to FAQ, you cannot play multiple games with one character. You signed both this game and Mists of Mwgani. So, you can apply to this game with fresh new character or withdraw your application from other GM.
