Okay, 6 rounds for Silence...
Knowledge: Engineering for the bridges 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Knowledge on the bugs: Nature? 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Dungeoneering? 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Arcana? 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
I do also have Feather Fall, which can affect 6 targets. So just cross the first bridge, past the bugs and jump. I also have a scroll of fly if our.
Kiklit takes a feather out of his spell component pouch and mimes jumping and floating.
Skipper Daytripper RPG Superstar 2015 Top 32 |
Skipper looks to Logain, nods brightly with a smile, then again holds up three fingers, pointing to himself, then one finger at Logain, then one finger at Nevaeh, then making a big arc with his hand and points down at the Aspis agents.
Head cocked, he looks to Logain and makes the bird-flappy gesture again.
Silence is centered on Roary, yes? So if he flies down there, we'll be able to talk/cast...
Navaeh |
I feel ridiculous Nevaeh thinks, loudly enough so the rest of the party can "hear" it.
Roary Flamebearer |
He will also become visible when he does that.. Although he's not scared he would be in the fight by himself for most likely a few rounds before yall made it there..
Roary Flamebearer |
Roary smiles and flies 60' down on the surprise round.. If he beats the mage he can cherge him the next round.. That should letthem start casting spells again..
Not sure about distance.. He's 100' up but only 50' away from the mage.. Will his 60' flight get him in his face this round? It should at least get him within 20' silence radius..
Skipper Daytripper |
Surprise round action, or round 1, or however you want to adjudicate this: As soon as he can hear (due to Roary moving away), Skipper will cast Dimension Door, taking himself, Nevaeh, and Logain along for the ride, appearing down with our new Aspis friends. He will, naturally, arrange final landing so he has Nevaeh and Logain between him and the Aspis; and he will arrive so that Logain and Nevaeh are adjacent to the man-who-has-no-weapon drawn. If you would like me to move the tokens the way Skipper would arrange their landing, GM, I can do that.
Morrolan and Jakarno: sorry, but I can only take 3, and the two of you are the most useful at ranged, I think.
eta Though Jakarno's feather fall may help you catch up quick!
Morrolan de'Morcaine |
Aha, I thought you were miming the jump spell. But that is fine.
When the others start changing plans, Morrolan drinks his potion of spider climb in case he needs get down there and readies his long bow.
Logain Xanatus |
Miming a dimensional door sounds fun. Start with a door then walk through and point downstairs. But good use of magics people :D.
slin2678 |
Gotta say I'm loving this!
Jakarno and Morrolan both identify the bugs as giant wasps, though they do not look natural nor normal for giant wasps. Almost as if they have been summoned with a template.
The rope bridges look secure enough to handle 3 medium sized creatures but you will have to move at quarter speed to prevent it from swaying too noticeably.
I know this map can be kinda confusing. Other than the stairs on the southeast corner of the cavern, there are 3 main elevations.
- Top - the level you're currently standing on with the bridges. All levels connected by the rope bridges are on the same plane.
- Middle - This is 100ft down from the Top. This is the level Aglorn Desmire is standing next to the Diamond Gate.
- Bottom - This is 100ft down from Middle, or 200ft down from Top. These are chasms in the cavern
Roary, the closest point to Desimire is about 115ft of movement (100ft down and 60ft southeast for 116.6ft diagonal). You can get about halfway there in one move, which isn't enough to get him into silence.

Ok, wasn't as far down as I thought it was. Excellent news. Of course it also means the wasps are closer to interfere sooner.
.
Morrolan gets his bow ready to put an arrow into any of them when/if they start to cast a spell before Roary gets there.
swift action activate Justice judgement (+1 sacred to hit), ready an action to shoot enemy caster to interrupt spell casting, use the A Sure Thing Trait for a +2 to hit if evil, -2 for just barely into second range increment, +2 for shooting from invisibility (unless can see me for some reason), +1 divine favor, +1 for guidance, and no dex for my attack.

slin2678 |
Since Roary is the trigger, I'm going to delay Skipper, Navaeh, and Logain to after him. Everyone else can let me know what they're doing on their turn. Every enemy after Roary will get a Perception check to see if they see you after leaving the sphere of invisibility and act in the surprise round.
Also, give me the duration of any potions you drank. Remember to subtract at least 1 round, or more if you did multiple actions, as you would've drank the potion the round prior to the surprise round.
Surprise Round initiative
Jakarno* <--still in silence and invisibility sphere
Morrolan - readies to interrupt spell casting.
Algorn <-- doesn't act as he can't see or hear you yet.
Wasps <-- doesn't act as they can't see or hear you yet.
Duchess <-- doesn't act as she can't see or hear you yet.
Aspis Archers <-- doesn't act as they can't see or hear you yet.
Teenoch - flies toward Algorn
Roary - moves toward Algorn
Skipper - casts dimension door
Navaeh*
Logain*
Hope that's not too confusing. Let me know if you have any questions.
Morrolan, where are you standing? Can you move you're icon to where you can see Algorn Desimire?
Navaeh |
Neveah holds his breath as he is teleported down to the Aspis agents. Appearing in front of the enemy he lets his breath out again smiles and slashes at the Agent to his right.
+1 Greatsword w/Power Attack, Furious Focus, Bless Weapon (178 rnds left)
Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 Ooooo so close to a crit!

Logain Xanatus |
not sure where Logain lands... but unless Skipper puts us within 5 ft of him Logain will move and attack. Otherwise he can strike twice. After popping out of the dimensional door, Logain grins and attacks the wizard after enchanting his sword to slice extra well.

I had two charges of frostbite left which Logain uses. So second d6 and dmg is cold nonlethal with entangled and intimidated carriers.

Morrolan de'Morcaine |
I moved Morrolan. We moved up as a group to stay invisible and silent until we could see things. Then he would have just stopped at the edge and gotten ready to fire when the others took off.
.
I lost track, did Kiklit cast feather fall on us?
slin2678 |
Surprise round adjudication:
Navaeh sends a powerful slice towards the Aspis Agent to his north, dealing heavy damage. They were completely surprised by the assault.
Unfortunately, Logain failed to connect on the wizard.
Jakarno, do you wish to come out of delay or should I proceed to Round 1?
Also, I went cut and paste happy up there. Aglorn is actually in the midst of casting a spell. Anyone with spellcraft can give me a roll to see if you can identify what it is.
Logain Xanatus |
as mentioned, if Logain is able to, two attacks.

Morrolan de'Morcaine |
Crap, I forgot that he is in melee so I have another -4 to hit. Probably missed. I should have picked a different target or started moving toward the fight.
.
Kiklit, did you cast feather fall on us?
slin2678 |
Morrolan misses with his arrow.
I apologize for the mass of confusion below. I tried to do all the enemy actions at once but realized it could change based on resolution of several actions. Also, there are only 2 wolverines summoned, not the three that are currently on the board. The one directly below Skipper is not there...just a figment of my imagination.
Wasp 1 moves up the bridge towards Morrolan and runs into the invisible Jakarno. It tries to sting him.
High is a hit

attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Wasp 2 moves up the bridge and attacks into the same square as Wasp 1.
High is a hit
miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 78
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Jakarno, roll a Fort save for each hit by the wasps.
Wasp 3 moves toward Aglorn. Roary, you can take an AoO if you wish.
Aglorn completes his spell and 2 more summons (Knowledge Nature to identify) appear on the battlefield.
1d6 ⇒ 3
Misread tactics. Only 2 wolverines appear on the board. The third one (the one directly below Skipper) is not on the battlefield. Can someone remove it off the board or I can do it when I get home tonight.
He takes a 5 ft step back and casts a spell centered 20ft behind Skipper, Logain, and Navaeh. You three roll a Reflex save.
A giant ball of fire explodes engulfing the three Pathfinders.
spell damage: 9d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 6, 1, 2, 5, 5, 4, 1) = 29
Logain, if your stat block is correct, you should be unconscious if you fail the Reflex save. Please let me know if that is incorrect.
Summon 1 5 foot steps and attacks Logain (if conscious). If Logain is unconscious, then it moves to attack Skipper (only claw 1).
claw 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
claw 1 damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
claw 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
claw 2 damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
claw 2 damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
At this point, I had rolled all enemy actions but it got too complicated with contingencies. I've deleted all their actions but kept the rolls to be used pending the outcome of the fireball and Summon 1 actions. Right now, the summon direct below Logain and the two Aspis agents haven't moved yet so they're not physically there but will be by the end of their turns.
Summon 2 attack rolls pending resolution of actions above.
claw 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
claw 1 damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
claw 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
claw 2 damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
claw 2 damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Duchess notices Teenoch and chases after her. The demon and devil fly off to have their own personal battle.
The two Aspis Agents move to protect Aglorn.
Aspis 1 attack rolls pending resolution of actions above.
attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 = 14

He makes it! So only 14 dmg for him. Btw those wolverines should also get hit by the fireball I guess? At least the one south of Logain should. The bite would hit, so Logain would currently by on 3 hp if it didn't get burned to a crisp due to the fireball o_0. Let me know since it makes a big difference on what tactics Logain will use :). Also what the, lvl 9 caster :S

:) Yeah, CL9. We are playing high tier.
Reflex save of 20 does make it! Logain only takes 14 damage from the fireball.
The wolverines didn't start in those squares. Summon 2 started at the bottom of the steps and can 5' step to directly below Logain.
Logain, what's your AC right now? It says 18 in the stat block but Summon 1's Claw 2 missed you. This goes for everyone, to facilitate this battle, please update your stat block to what you have current so I don't necessarily have to wait for your response to continue actions.
Full attack:
Claw 1: hit AC 20
Claw 1 damage: 7
Claw 2: hit AC 23
Claw 2 damage: 8
Bite: hit AC 14
Bite damage: 8
If Summon 2 drops Logain, it will take the rest of its attacks on Skipper.
Roary, you hit the wasp for a ton of damage. Because it's hard to picture 3D while flying, I'll allow a clear charge path to Aglorn. The wasp does take an AoO but I'll adjudicate that when it's actually your turn.
Right now, waiting to see if Summon 2 drops Logain before doing the Aspis Agents' turns.

Yes, you saw Duchess, which is a female flying devil of some sort (Knowledge Planes to identify).
You don't identify the summoned creatures nor the spell that Aglorn just cast, though you saw it burn your buddies down there.
Logain Xanatus |
Sorry, updated it now to speed it up. Ablative barrier has converted 5 lethal dmg from the fireball and 5 from the bite to nonlethal dmg. So Logain has 10 nonlethal dmg and 12 lethal dmg putting him at 5 health right now. A good heal spell would work very well due to the split in dmg

Awesome. Thanks for updating.
Summon 2 drops Logain with it's second claw attack but misses Skipper with it's bite.
Aspis 1 (the one with Beard) moves next to Navaeh (square to the west), swings his club and misses.
Aspis 2 doesn't drop his bow anymore, 5 foot steps north (2 squares north of Navaeh) and shoots at Navaeh.
to hit: 12 + 9 = 21

Now Roary charges and the wasp takes a sting as he flies by.

Roll Fort save if it hits and you are stopped at your original square to the NW of the Wasp.
Morrolan, you identify the flying devil as an Imp, most likely the wizard's familiar.
Navaeh |
Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 14 fire damage to Nevaeh
Logain Xanatus |
Logain groans from all the hits and goes down.
Auto stable due to non-lethal dmg he now has 15 nonlethal dmg and 15 lethal dmg. Btw I think that Roary's charge isn't interrupted as he didn't try to do it with acrobatics, he just charged past and accepted to aoo.
Navaeh |
Nevaeh, continues to hack at the Aspis agents protecting the wizard. Feeling anxious to end the fight quickly he focuses all his might into his swings.
Smite Evil
Attack 1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16 +4 if he is evil
Damage 1: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (1, 3) + 14 = 18 +6 if evil
Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 +4 if he is evil
Damage 2: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (2, 6) + 14 = 22 +6 if evil
[ooc]I completely forgot that I have divine bond now! I could have totally made my sword KEEN!
If I bring down the first swig he'll 5ft step and hit the other one with the iterative. The swing will not be with smite though.
slin2678 |
Navaeh, since Skipper technically goes before you and does not know what you'll be doing, keep the same rolls and I'll adjudicate after Skipper's actions.
