Woo, good, sounds like my buffs will be useful for peeps.
Morrolan: I also have communal prot evil! We are well-prepared. :P
Once this fight is done and we're ready to actually go into the sphinx, I'll cast Freedom of Movement on either Roary or Morrolan, as you guys are our front-liners. Duration of 70 minutes, so it should last us the duration of a "storm the enemy base" type operation. If either of you have a preference on who gets it, let me know.
Of course, as soon as this fight is done, Skipper is eager to share with you all the full sacred message of Sinashakti, which you guys SOMEHOW managed to avoid hearing as we threw ourselves through a portal...

Right, and block initiative works fairly well overall (I use it myself) but I do find it helpful to have a clear GM indicator of when a new round starts. I try not to post my next round actions, as a rule, until I know the current round has concluded-- in this case, I knew Morrolan was still up to go, so I didn't go ahead and narrate Skipper's round 2 actions (which would have included giving Roary the free action), because I figured we'd resolve round 1 first, but since we have already resolved Roary's Round 2 double move, etc, that means one of two things: I now spend a double move to get within 30' of Roary in order to let him move freely, thus forfeiting my own action; or we have to retcon the turns as they should have happened. *shrug*
Like I said, this is a really minor incident, and it's not going to significantly impact this combat (my action would have been a terrifying another d4-1 of potential damage), but I personally find it confusing to let actions get too far ahead of the actual rounds. That said, I don't mean to be imposing my play preferences on anyone else, so, if we're doing a pure block initiative with no signifier breaks for rounds, I'll try and narrate my actions ahead as well rather than waiting for everyone to conclude actions. :P
Sorry, I don't mean to be an ass over it. I just don't want to run into some maddening circumstance later on that is more tangled than this.

Thanks! Sorry to be a pain in the ass over it, but I appreciate the clear rounds thing.
In the interests of smoothing things along on another potential circumstance that might come up, if Skipper is ever within 40 feet of a party member who gets grappled/etc, he would cast Liberating Command as an immediate action. Can only do that once, as it's just the spell and not anything special, but immediate actions are always a pain for me when I GM PBP, so, just mentioning it now.
("I force the enemy to reroll that crit." "...you mean the crit that was posted two days ago...?")

Much as I hate to say it, Roary is probably a better choice. He is the primary damage dealer and is also more likely to be the target of restriction spells.

I thought I had cast Detect Alignment on the talisman, but apparently forgot. I will do that now. If they are not radiating Evil, I will wear one. Unless someone else really wants it. I'm not so sure I want it to disagree over it.

As you rise to your feat, this thing is not going to slam you... rather it is going to swing it's sickle to hit you.
[dice=Attack]1d20+11
[dice=Damage]1d6+5+1d6
[dice=Trip Attempt]1d20+9
Is the construct able to trip as the AoO resolves before Morolan completes his move action to stand up? Also, I've always thought the AoO would get the +4 bonus to hit as the target is still considered "prone." Please correct me if I've been doing it wrong.

Doombringer the DM |

Hello all.
I unfortunately must postpone this scenario for some time. Yesterday afternoon, there was a death in the family of someone very close to me. and I simply don't have the time, effort, or willpower right now to continue running it at this time. In fact,t he only reason I am not cancelling this one permanently, is because I am obligated to run it, as Paizo provided it for free for that very purpose. Therefore, I must ask that you are all patient with me, and I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for understanding,
Michael Riter

Very sorry for your loss, sir.
It sucks a bit to have our chars stuck in hiatus there, but life happens, and it always comes first. Take care of yourself and come back when you can.

Perhaps someone else could take over the thread? That way Michael doesn't have to bother with it anymore and we will not be stuck in an inactive game? I have had it happen before.
Sorry for your loss Michael

If Michael's down with that, that's a possibility. I'd offer myself, but 1) I'm running two other games right now via PBP and I'm already stretched thin, and 2) I'm playing the primary, though not only, healer.
But we'll see if Michael wants us to put out a feeler for a new GM.

That sux.. Sry as well.. Im up for whatever.

Will do. Does everyone want to wait and recruit another player or is it too late? If not, give me a day or so to review everything and then we'll continue.
Doombringer, sorry about your loss. Can you send me the info I need to provide online chronicles? This will be my first pbp game.

I thought that if they completed at least 2 encounters, it was all good.
G.M.E.W. said he is willing to play for no credit (already run through) if we can't find anyone else.

I've already played this so I'm not getting any credit anyway.
