As the goblin comes within range Sjonegaard swipes at him.
Readied Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22, Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 15
And in case you're ready for it now I'll attack the goblin if it still stands and the dog if the goblin is down.
Round 2 Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11, Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15

![]() |

@Sjonegaard: the goblin is nowhere near you, so I don't think you can take a readied action against it...
Stoically ignoring his allergic reaction, Richard gamely hacks away at the goblin!
Greatsword: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 17, for 2d6 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (3, 5) + 9 + 2 = 19 damage.
(Or its mount if Sjonegaard's first roll can be against the goblin after he moves up to it.)

![]() |

Torrag double moves up next to Sjonegaard and takes a peek inside at the action.

![]() |

Well I think you can ready an attack for once an enemy comes close enough to hit..even if you don't see one right now..(or at least I've seen people do it all the time - mostly in the case of invisible enemies) so, ready it is. Chance of it happening are slim though
Richard coughs as he get's irritated by the dog's bite
Sjongaard get's ready in case an enemy/the goblin comes close enough to take a swing at.
Richard then takes a swing at the goblin and cleaves him right in two...both halves going in different directions past the dog.
Torrag double times it over to where the action is to take a peek inside.

Eladrian moves into the room and can barely see the fight going on by the light of the dwarfs pathfinder. He carefully takes aim at the goblin, and lets loose an arrow

Eladrian fires at the goblin dog (goblin it self went down to Richard's attack) and is just able to hit it while squinting into the dark ahead.
Tenerek moves forward into the room as he shoulders his bow and draws a sword
The dog in return tries to bite Richard

Acid Cloud (Su): 5' Radius for 1 round. 1d6 damage plus Sickened for 1 round. Fort DC 13 negates sickened and halves damage.
Also, I'm unable to manipulate the map at work. It would be great if someone could move me 2 squares east. Thank you.

![]() |

Sjonegaard move further into the tower while Torrag summons a cloud of biting acid which makes the goblin dogs flesh boil but the creature's agony doesn't last long as he's quickly put out of his misery by the powerful impact of Richard's greatsword to his skull.
Tenerek takes out a Sunrod and activates it, and ties it to hand on his chest with a scarf.
Out of combat
The goblins carried a potion (which detects as magical if someone has detect magic), a leather armor, a short bow, a horse chopper and 20 arrows each.
There are exits to the north (into a tower, from which the second mounted goblin emerged from), east and south (which is barricaded, but with some effort you might be able to squeeze through).

![]() |

Richard demurs.
"'Tis only a flesh wound, my fine fellow. I'll survive. We should be careful, though; Goblins are like rats - wherever there is one, there is bound to be a dozen more..."
He then moves forward to cautiously investigate the tower room that the last goblin came out of...

![]() |

Tenerek refreshes his arrow supply from the Goblins
GM please make sure to tell us when/if the light clears up if at all, so we can use bows again
Also I can only see 5 feet around me with the sunrod?

![]() |

Taking his cue from Tenerek, Eladrian will resupply his arrows from the goblin, and then put away his bow. He also pulls out a torch and lights it, keeping it in his off hand. After he has light, He will inspects the room. "Well, should we try to dig through, or go up? Personally I dont like leaving questions behind me, but what do yall think?"

![]() |

"Here let me see the potion."
Torrag casts Detect Magic on the potion.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 to identify the potion.
"I'd prefer to check the room that last rat and his dog came out of before digging through the pile of rubble, but I'll leave that direction to the rangers."

![]() |

Not sure what it is yet hmmm. . .
Torrag dips his little finger in the potion and has a small taste.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 to identify potion.
"Ah yes, I know what this is."

![]() |

@Tenerek; _If_ the magical darkness isn't present in any part of this ruins I will let you know ..but it's a safe bet to assume that it covers every thing on this level inside the ruins. If you want to be able to use a bow your best chance is to set up a "light train" of people carrying a light source and standing next to each other. and yes, any form of light only generates enough light to light a 5ft radius..after that it's magical absorbed by the magical darkness
Sjonegaard picks up the goblins small short bow which looks like a child's toy in his hands.
Torrag dips his little finger in the potion and identifies it as a potion of cure light wounds.
Richard leads the party to the tower from which the second goblin emerged.
Piles of rags and bones are piled up into nest-like beds around this circular room.
An extensive search of the room turns up nothing.

![]() |

As Torrag follows Richard into the tower, he takes a quick glance into the chamber to the East.
That's assuming there's no door to open and I can do it without actually entering the chamber. It's just a quick pause and glance.

![]() |

Following the rest of the party, Eladrian pokes his head into the chamber behind Richard.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

![]() |

"If the East chamber looks like it delves further into the keep, I suggest we check what's behind the rubble to the south before we proceed."

![]() |

As Torrag glance into the next room he sees;
This large foyer seems to have been the main tower entrance, but the grand doorway leading outside is now a broken mass of glass rubble. Crumbling archways lead to the north and south.
Torrag thinks he might have seen some movement out of the corner of his eye at the opposite end of the room.
Eladrian doesn't see anymore in the room when he takes a peek over Richard's shoulder

![]() |

I'm following Richard at this point, i'm useful in melee but not for reacting to anything, so i'll be support.
Longsword in one hand Gauntlet in the other, NOT two weapon fighting just ready to use one or the other

As the party moves into the next room Sjonegaar is just able to spot some goblins right before they emerge from hiding they are armed with short bows and have short swords hanging from their belts and they are wearing leather armor. Both Sjonegaards and Richards and/or Torrag's keen dwarven senses are not entirely sure if the area where the goblins are standing on is structural sound..floor seems solid enough ..but there's something off about the area.

Something that's been bothering me about the map is that there are specific patches of green stuff on there, I think the wording about there being rubble everywhere inside the ruins is meant to indicate that it's all over the place and not that every part of the floor is covered with difficult terrain..so going with what I think is right...the green stuff on the floor is difficult terrain, the "clear" patches is normal terrain for movement. The wording is a bit ambiguous so I think I read it wrong the first time and went with how my GM ruled it when I played it

@DM: How long did it take to search the tower? Trying to keep track of Mage Armor.

![]() |

"Watch your step! The stonework seems a little odd."

![]() |

With the entire party searching, maybe a minute (or 2) to search the entire tower.
Eladrian takes his time to study the goblin with the blue bandana and then moves forward.
Torrag summons a mist of acid around 2 of the goblins
Fort save blue: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Fort save red: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
both goblins seems to have trouble keeping their lunch down ...which for goblins isn't that unusual knowing what the commonly eat.
Sjonegaard moves forward and takes out one of the goblins with one swing of his weapon (picked blue since it seemed to make sense). quickly followed by Richard who puts the next goblin out of his misery.
Tenerek moves forward and get's ready to throw down if he has to.
The remaining goblin retreats back to the tower from which he came (and seems to be waiting for something = readied action)

Eladrian studies the area nearby (no darkvision, limited light) and comes to the same conclusion that Torrag and Richard reached..the general area seems a bit unstable, but he has no idea what the goblin is up to.
Tenerek moves closes, still having trouble seeing.
@Torrag, unless I'm mistaken the range of acid splash for you at your lvl is 25ft, the goblin is 30ft away from your position on the map..so you can't reach him unless I missed something

Eladrian tenses, watching Tenerek walk across the floor, waiting for anything to happen to him.
"This goblin is not acting right.. there is something that it has planned in the measely little rock it calls a brain!"

![]() |

Toraag fires his heavy crossbow and the fired bolt smashes into the the wall next to the goblin.
Tenerek slowly moves forward checking for traps ..but doesn't spot anything
I'm assuming Tenerek actually moves forward? I'll update once I know if that's actually the case and in case anyone else wants to do something

![]() |

Tenerek slowly moves forward and as he does so you can hear the goblin cackle evilly with glee (and for those with darkvision) can see him pull something hidden around the corner which causes a large pile of rubble to fall down from above causing a rockslide, sealing of the area between you and the tower with the goblin
DC 12 reflex save for Tenerek or become trapped and getting 1d6 ⇒ 1damage
Just as the rubble tumbles down Sjonegaard is able to spot the goblin pulling aside a piece of camouflaged canvas and moving behind it
Sort of out of combat for now ..since you can't easily reach the goblin you are fighting on the other side of the collapse..
It looks like it will take several hours of labor to get through it (even with the dwarven expertise of Torrag and Richard)
