Working together Crowe and Warpac inflict terrible damage on the undead monstrosity, but not enough to destroy it outright. The evil apparition prepares itself for another life draining lunge... but not before Vybus and Tak have a chance to put an end to it with their magic.

Sorry for the unannounced absence; I had a house guest the past couple days and had a birthday party to plan/host. Regarding visibility/darkness: I have a (self-cast, 4th level) Heightened Continual Flame on an ioun torch orbiting my head. Incidentally, I can make them for others after our mission.
Vybus will spend an arcane pool point and a full round action using the Quick Study exploit to prepare another Command Undead in place of his prepared Web spell.

![]() |

Tak's weapon proves to be anathema to the undead shade as it is cut down with a single swipe of the force-made kukri. The shadow falls and it screams one last time, its evil having left the material plane forever.
Out of combat. There's nothing else of value here. So, where next?

![]() |

Nice - well done! Does Crowe have a way of removing the strength damage? We would deal with that first. After that...
Warpac returns to the room with the statue and tries to force the door open after casting shield of faith and using a sacred armor minute.
Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Poor feeble dwarf.

![]() |

Crowe has a wand of CLW 20 charges that we should use first as he is a pregen and 1 CLW potion. But no restoration. :-(

![]() |

"Thank you so much Barm! I really feel weak!" Crowe says and showing weakness is usually not his style. He drinks the potion.
Strength back: 1d4 ⇒ 4
"Ahhh, much better! Again, thank you! Let me give you something for your kindness! This potion will enable you to fly. And you may always use my wand to heal yourself if necessary." he says and hands over the potion to Barm.
As it is the pregen's fly potion you have to use it until the end of the scenario. ;-)

![]() |

Warpac pulls out a scroll and adds to the healing by casting lesser restoration on Crow before embarrassing himself at the door.
restoration amount: 1d4 ⇒ 1

![]() |

I will double check my paper character sheet to see if I failed to transfer something digitally. I usually carry scrolls or a partial wand. I forgot to leave slots open too. Good thing I'm traveling with less rusty pathfinders.

![]() |

Having made short work of the shadow creature the pathfinders cure their companion from the damage he suffered before deciding their next move.
In the meantime Warpac gets back to the previous room and tries to force the door to the south open... but can't get it to move an inch!

![]() |

Crowe, did you recover all your strength? I have another scroll of Lesser Restoration if you still need to get topped off.
Max has constant Detect Magic and Detect Evil. I'll try to remind you as we go along. If/when she detects any auras she'll stop and concentrate on them.

![]() |

Statue aside there's nothing magical around the places you have been until now. Where next? You can get back to the entrance room (with all those people) and from there get to the place they called the "chapel"

![]() |

Warpac is too proud to ask someone else to kick in the stubborn door and too embarrassed to try it again.
"Well, this door is pretty jammed. Lets move on to the other room," he says, waving toward the chapel.

![]() |

Mutahir steps up and inspects the door himself, checking first if it's locked, and if not, giving it a push.
Str: 1d20 ⇒ 12
He shrugs if it doesn't open.
Pure Legion He says, as if that explains everything, before turning back to head towards the chapel.

![]() |

”I am fine! Thanks to you all! I am a Shoanti and want to repay my debt to you! Let us continue!“ Crowe says smiling.

![]() |

Before entering the next room, Warpac buffs a little more, casting bull's strength and a lucky presence.

![]() |

After considering your options and explaining the nature of the commotion they just heard to the people waiting in the entry hall you magically strengthen yourselves and open the door leading to the "chapel"...
The rotted pews, the collapsed pulpit, and the giant Sihedron mosaic on the floor indicate that this room once housed Lissalan worshipers. A circular door set in the northern end of the eastern wall has no apparent handles or hinges, though an obviously magical key hole lies in the center of the door. Stone double doors also rest in the eastern wall, farther south.
As you open the door an hollow voice exclaims:"Opponents of the faith are not permitted within this sacred site"...

I'm okay with the GM sharing whatever knowledge info deemed appropriate, but in general, I'd usually like to know: weakest saving throw, and any special defenses (DR, SR, energy resistances/immunities).
Since I didn't get to use this on that shadow, let's try it on the graveknight!
Vybus casts Command Undead on the graveknight, using an arcane pool point to increase the DC by 2
DC20 WILL. Also, I as a player remember graveknights have SR so I'll just roll it now and count it as one of my questions.

@Crowe
I moved you forward 40, but Barm and Mutahir were in the way so you will have to take an AoO from him to get into a striking position, which I'm betting as a bloodrager you are willing to do. Technically you moved before Barm and could occupy the space he currently has with 35' of movement, but this is actually a better move as it gets all three of you into melee. And it IS 40' as you instructed.
