Vybus enters the room and upon sighting the portly mage being pummeled by the large Shoanti and says, ”Ah, there you are. I’ve been saving this for you.”
Vybus produces a bone needle and sinew thread from his spell component pouch and appears to stitch the air in front of himself as stitches simultaneously appear on the fat wizard’s lips, his mouth apparently being magically sewn shut!
Lipstitch and I’ll use arcane pool point number 9 out of 11 to increase the DC to 20 (FORT), roll twice and take worst from Ill Omen

![]() |

Tak uses his magic to materialize Crowe near the flying mage. The Shoanti manages to hit the fat man once thanks to his gigantic proportions.
At the same time Vybus and Max work together to prevent the wizard from casting other spells.
Fortitude check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
And they suceed with their attempt, sewing the man's lips shut.
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Enraged by the wounds he suffered, the wizard once again teleports away from the fray, this time outside of the tomb!!

Tak stares deeply at the obese one.
Evil eye -2 to saves, move action chant.
The bugger teleported away again. Is that him to the south of Warpac? Sure looks like a fat dude! I think Warpac is the only one that can see him. How far up is he? Within reach of Warpac's axe if he gets over there?

![]() |

Vybus looks at Max, confused, and tries to identify how the portly wizard teleported away without being able to use a verbal spell component.
spellcraft Vybus: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37
spellcraft Max: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Not my actual turn; just when he teleported away (if I saw a spell cast)

![]() |

@Bram if I cast fly on you do you want to go after him?
Do that!
"Where is he?"
Barm goes to the door.

![]() |

@Warpac: he’s 10 feet up into the air. You can attack him if you can get adjacent
@Vybus: you know you just saw a teleportation effect, most probablysomething out of a school of magic repertoire

![]() |

As Warpac alerts them to the wizards new location, Mutahir curses and dashes out after him as well.
Double move after, can't move the token on mobile if someone would be kind enough.

![]() |

Warpac shouts out, "I see him. 50' south of me!"
Warpac drops the Air crystal he was about to munch and rushes under the spellcaster.
Unfortunately he is *just* outside his 40' movement. Note: that blobular fellow on Warpac's shoulder is not a familiar. Warpac is literally right underneath him.
Bugger, bugger, bugger. Hold still you bugger.

![]() |

Max flies forward, still clutching her wand of Ill Omen and once again attempts to activate it on the blimp-mage.
UMD DC20: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19
"Umm, Vybus? I think I broke it..."

![]() |

”No matter, Max. I’m afraid his moments are numbered either way.”
Vybus produces a drop of molasses from his spell component pouch while reciting arcane words, casting Slow at the foe.
DC21 WILL (using arcane pool point 10/11)

Rogar Valertis |

Will Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Alerted by Warpac's warning you all run towards the exit, with the dwarf capable to reach under the flying wizard but not to attack him and Barm empowered by Tak with flight who comes near the fat man but can't attack as well. Vybus tries to cast a spell at the wizard but he shruggs off the effect.
@Barm: I was going to tell you to check your movement due to medium armor but I noticed you have +2 hide armor... so a flying double move is 120 feet for you. Nice
The wizard steps aside from Barm, produces a tiny dagger and sproceeds to slice his mouth open... obviously causing himself to bleed profusely!
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1+1bleed
This is a full round action that causes and AoO from Waprac

Damage: 2d8 + 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (7, 8) + (5, 5) + 13 = 38
Vicious feedback damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Double move. 80 ft. Can someone please move his icon. So sorry that I cannot manipulate the map. ;-)

Barm, would you like to be large too?
Assuming yes, Vybus starts casting Enlarge Person on Barm. One round cast

Barm and Mutahir inflict another bounty of wounds on the fat man. Yet he does not fall...
He flies away from his opressors...

Burning hands, 15 ft cone , Reflex DC 13 half, electric damage : 5d4 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 2, 3) = 13

![]() |

We seeing some major damage reduction here, probably stone skin.
To hit Dwarven Double Waraxe: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34
Damage: 2d8 + 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (4, 5) + (5, 3) + 13 = 30
Vicious feedback damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
And then he loses three levels!
Warpac is at -7 hp from vicious feedback and the one point left over after healing. Then a bunch more from the enervation - no need for a spellcraft roll to know that.

![]() |

@Barm: The one who caused the wizard more damage, so Warpac I mistakenly assigned the negative levels to Barm but that's easily rectified
Crowe tries to incinerate the wizard but the flames seem to have no effect on him!

COME DOWN YOU )@!#($)(#@*$
He soon unleashes a torrent of curses that will make the religiously minded among his allies blush, though at least they are directed towards Lissala and her followers.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22 (Bonus verses followers of specified god.)

![]() |

Barm flees to enemy a strikes.
rage 12/18

Warpac just moves closer and takes the shot with a hurled ax.
"Bad enough he runs away, but now he's out of reach. Bah!"
To hit Dwarven Double Waraxe, improvised, level drain: 1d20 + 17 - 4 - 3 ⇒ (9) + 17 - 4 - 3 = 19, not counting range penalties if any.
Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
The weapon is not enlarged when it is thrown, the vicious ability does not work because it is not a melee weapon, cannot use power attack, and he takes a penalty for it not being a throwing weapon. But he can attack!

![]() |

Max hears Mutahir’s tirade and has an idea. She flies over to him and pulls a scroll of Levitate from her bandolier.
”Mutahir, I think I can help you...kind of, anyway. Just a sec…”

![]() |

Barm is large as of the beginning of my turn.
I seem to be running out of spells and arcane pool points. Ah well, perhaps I’ll try giving the portly mage a taste of his own medicine.
full-round action and final arcane pool point to swap out my prepared Confusion spell for Enervation. 5’ step forward.

![]() |

That is the big weakness of the Arcanist. Not enough spells. Carry some nice cheap utilitarian scrolls around like Cat's Grace (even a strength based fighter appreciates the AC boost!) or invisibility.

![]() |

Barm flies towards the fleeing mage and decapitates him with one last fell swoop of his blade. The corpulent corpse falls down on the ground and thuds on impact. As you check the bloodied remains you find a letter. It is the correspondence Naroth Balam had with another lissalan wizard ally of his who informed him that his followers had discovered the location of Krune's runic archive and will soon have the keywords to activate the refuge tokens. You also find a strange yet powerful ioun stone floating near the dead body.
Spending some time inside the ruins you finally undestand how to retrieve the tokens. Apparently you need to face the statue of Lissala hidden in the room the wizard and his servants were and then brand or strike yourselves as the statue speaks:[b]" Prostrate yourself and mark your flesh in honor of the Lady of Runes. Your service will be rewarded."
Apparently this can be done 25 times...
Do you do this? Either way the module is over, you can expect your CS by tomorrow, with a rather powerful item included, an Ocher Rhomboid Ioun Stone, which gives you an extra feat but also changes your alignment one step towards evil. You can overcome this byu spending the PP for an atonement spell being cast on you. Tell me if you do so I'll put the information on your CS

![]() |

Sorry but I did not fully understand the last Ooc part of your post.

![]() |

I'll take the ioun stone and the atonement. I'm CG and intend to stay that way (Max would be quite upset if I weren't).
Thank you, DM Elan Morin! That was really fun.

![]() |

Basically you were sent to the tomb to retrieve tokens the Society needs in order to open Krune’s sanctuary and resting place. To do that one or more of you needs to kneel and then harm or brand himself in front of the statue of Lissala. Doing this 25 times allows you to recover all of the tokens storese in the statue

![]() |

Mutahir will take the Ioun stone as well, and a Atonement. He already has a loose definition of what's acceptable to do in pursuit of his beliefs in justice and right and wrong like most Rahadoumi.

![]() |

You still need to buy the stone, right?
No way Warpac is going to prostrate himself before Lisala's idol. Somebody else is going to have to retrieve those tokens.

![]() |

Fun fact. NOPE. It's a boon gained for completing the scenario!
As long as you activate the stone you also need to tell me what feat you want it to provide you so that I can write it on your CS.

![]() |

Does this mean our alignment shifts the first time we don the item? Or EVERYTIME we use the feat?
