Sardon |
Really unhappy about the swarm, Sardon takes a step to the north, allowing Mahasi to grab the acid flask from his belt.

Allowing Mahasi to grab one of the acid flasks from his belt, Sardon takes a swing at the prone troy, but the slippery creature manages to avoid the blow. Dust blows up as the glaive hits the floor.

Naiyra unable to bear the stench any longer, makes a move to end the fight. She brings down the tip of the scimitar on the stinking prone troglodyte.

I think Thaurux meant to be south of the Trog so that I would be flanking.
DM Kludde |
Naiyra brings her blade down on the wriggling troglodyte, who says मैं अपने चेहरे खाएंगे as the blade strikes true.
I will eat your face
Naiyra, please don't add flank or sneak unless you're actually flanking. Thaurux is opposite of Sardon, just as he indicated.
The mass of itsy bitsy spiders moves to engulf Sardon and mahasi in creeping, biting, eight-legged creatures.
Damage, Sardon: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Damage, Mahasi: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Mahasi, Sardon, please roll (1) a fortitude save (DC 11) for distraction, and a fortitude save (DC 11) for poison. Please indicate which is which
The troglodyte, meanwhile, crawls up to hand and knees, and starts another incantation, giving Naiyra a determined, evil glare as a flame lights up from his hand.

Dismissing the grease? Now that he's down, it may be hindering us by making flanking difficult more than him? Not sure. He's gonna get 3 AoOs if he tries to get up, though.

Poison: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Sardon takes another slash at the trog, and then moves quickly away from the swarm, moving around to Thaurux. (N NE E E) Hopefully we can pull his own swarm right back over him.

Thaurux is in the correct location.
Feeling the ending of his sense reckless abandon nearing, Thaurux puts every thing he has into his last swing. Last Round of Rage

Thaurux let's out a cry of rage as he brings down the glaive on the druid. As gust of wind fills the hall as the druid draws his last breath, his final uttered words remaining inaudible through the swarm of spiders that now covers him. No more dreams of world dominance for this druid - Tasskar megalomaniac plans have ended for good.
The Fallen Fortress is once more abandoned, save for the victorious heroes. Balenar Forsend the bard, happy for his rescue and delighted at the prowess of the adventurers, offers to escort the adventurers to Absalom, to be introduced to Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin - surely this proof of valiance can short-cut many years of training.
Congratulations! You've defeated the final lord of the tower and victory is yours. You are truly the masters of the fallen fortress. Once you send me your PFS numbers, I will report the session and send you the chronicle sheet.
Well played. Even though this module was quite heavy on the 'hack' side, I enjoyed the roleplaying that you all did. Thanks for tuning in!
You can still celebrate your victory, try and heal yourselves, search the room, and go down to pick up that one creature you left hanging on the weapons rack ;-)
DM Kludde |
As the spiders swarm dissipates, the fallen druid emerges from below. A thousand tiny spider bites make the creature look swollen, but his stench has definitely not abated. A large wooden chest, unclosed, holds the treasure the druid has gathered over his short reign of the fortress: a short sword, a number of shrunken made from strange metal, a couple of potions and a magic wand, as well as an amethyst and some gold. Treasure!
Balenar only needs a glance at the druid's scimitar to mention Yes, this must have been their leader. The way he bossed that brute around, and the way he held his minions in sway - there's no doubt. Whether this is the last of them - who knows - there may be others where he came from. Perhaps I should report back to my Venture-Captain in Absalom. I would invite you to come as well - Ambrus is sure to be delighted to hear of your valiant efforts here.
If you would allow me to tend your wounds, he says as he invokes a white light that is soft to the touch.

Note: it's considered good etiquette to take care of restoring yourself to full hp in between adventures.

Thaurux quizzes the minstrel as to the nature of the vanquished enemy and the lizard he captured.
This new life may be more than he bargained for. What wheels have fate set forth, it does not matter… for now he is alive watching the rain over the tower…
