Evariel |
Since I never actually went last round...
Round 9:
Impressed with the first goblin, but giving him up as a lost cause target, Evariel moves further in and casts daze on the next closest goblin. (Daze vs red, DC 14 Will negates.)
Round 10:
Then, he turns his spell on the other. (Daze vs yellow, DC 14 Will negates.)
Stonetree |
Stonetree quickly steps up to replace Flower in front of the goblins.
"Don't worry, this is my specialty...other than cooking a good meal" Stonetree bellows to Flower with a laugh before unleashing on the goblin(red) directly in front of him.

Chortles |
"Stonetree, the results of your bashing are conspicuously similar to the results of your cooking."
Chortles gives up aiming and just shoots an arrow towards the darkness that appears to have a blue squarish blur around it.

DM PatheticWretch |
Grummosh finishes off one of the wounded goblins with a powerful chop.
Evariel incapacitates the remaining pair of goblins momentarily, which is enough for Stonetree to break one's neck.
Chortles' shot looks like enough to hit the last goblin, but with his companions in the way, he can't quite hit the target. would have hit, but -4 because of your companions in melee.
Flower serenely passes through the chaotic scene, not digging the negative vibes.
Since the goblin is dazed, I'll delay Dragos and say everyone is up again!

Tarantio |
With the Goblin caught up in Evariel's spell, Tarantio scampers across the floor through rubble and detritus, leaping upon the remaining humanoid with a ferocious snarl, however the Drake is unable to bring its fangs to bear under the strain of reaching their foe.
Sorry i had written a post then my laptop died!
Stonetree |
Stonetree continues his cascades of punches, knees, and kcks on his goblin foe.
flurry: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 281d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 24

Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
Unable to do much to help in such cramped confines, Dragos activates the sheath upon his arm once more to hold the ivory wand held there Holding the activation phrase upon his tongue he prepares himself in case his allies are struck.
Swift to draw wand and standard to ready if someone in reach gets hurt
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Flower Harmony Windsong |
"Maybe this will help." Flower tosses a pebble with the light spell while keeping his own wayfinder lit around his neck and maintaining a hold of his wand of clw in his other hand. (The target square for my light spell is indicated by the yellow circle on the map.)
"Is anyone hurt?" Flower holds up his wand, ready to assist if asked.
"Say, is that a door over there?"
Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
Locking his wand back into place upp the sleeve of his battered tailcoat. Dragos holds out his other arm as Tarantio crawls up to the Undertaker's shoulder. With a smile he looks around at the carnage wrought here.
"So many putrid goblins infesting this place, this must be a lair of theirs, I shall move up to the corner and see.
Moving to the corner where Flower threw their light, Dragos and Tarantio peer around the corner of the wall, assessing for more goblinoid threats.

Tarantio perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16
DM PatheticWretch |
With the goblins dispatched, the group looks around in the dark. Evariel can detect some strange evocation effects, which must be the source of the darkness. However, it seems to be coming from everywhere.
Flower throws a glowing pebble into the other room, which does some to illuminate it. I'm going to go ahead and say those with darkvision see fine, and normal vision people can see 5' around any light source, so if you throw a pebble, you can also see 5' around that, plus any other light sources the group has. Low-light can see 10' around any light source.
The glowing pebble dimly illuminates a large foyer that seems to have been the main tower entrance, but the grand doorway leading outside is now a broken mass of glass rubble. Crumbling archways lead to the north and south.
Stonetree |
Stonetree kicks a couple of the goblin corpses and before picking up one Chortles arrows laying on the ground. Stonetree than pretends to examine the arrow carefully before turning to Chortles
"You do understand how these work? Ideally the pointy end goes into the flesh of your enemy." Stonetree pauses briefly to sigh "Though given your difficulties I guess I can see how you confused the wall with a goblin"
Quickly turning to Flowers. "Why dont you decide." Stonetree said perhaps a bit to loudly given the circumstances.
Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
Peering around the corner, Dragos shrugs in the darkness, evidenced by a small movement in his silhouette. Turning to Flower, with his back to the spire's wall he thinks it over for a moment.
"I say the door, we do not wish to go exploring to find something creeps out and stalks us. We made a lot of noise but I hear nothing chasing after us, so maybe there is something wrong with sound in this place as well as light?"
Chortles |
Chortles shrugs at his bow and places it back over his shoulder, "it’s hard to shoot around a barn like your backside! Maybe you should look in to some lower calorie recipes?"
He pulls out his Axe and strums, "There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
But his daughter, named Nan,
Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket."
"If that doesn't turn out a crowd, then there is no one here left for us to murder."
"Evariel, what signs of magic?"
Flower Harmony Windsong |
"Luckily for my backside you proven you cant hit the broadside of a barn" Stonetree booms with laugh, giving Flower a firm slap on the back in approval of his own joke
The slight Oracle goes flying off of his feet from the unexpected slap. "Oh! Was there something on my back? Thank you for getting it, Stonetree!" he says sincerely as he gets back up.
Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
Nose turned at the smell from the goblin's 'nest', Dragos tests some of the piles with the base of his scythe loathe to actually touch any of the filthy bedding. Satisfied no Goblins wait for them he sighs.
"It is good to laugh Grumoy Grummosh." says the Undertaker, tittering at his own attempt at wit, "Now, there are no Goblins in bed, so let us find the rest and make them dead!"
Chortles |
"Dragos, you'll make a fine poetic goth someday!"
Chortles casts detect magic on the goblin's stale quarters to make sure no bed is left unturned.
He then moves to investigate the next room.
Move to A4.
Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
Moving through the empty space, Dragos once more leans around the wall and peers down the corridor with his attuned eyed. Making sure it is clear, he then waves his comrades forwards.

Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
Creeping across the corridor, the Druid slowly lowers the canvas and moves back to his colleagues, his worn and tattered suit getting covered in a fine layer of dust from the Spire. Pointing out the Canvas he smiles.
"A primitive warning system I would gather, so, do we carry on with a modicum of subterfuge or wake the place up into an ambush?"
Chortles |
knowledge engineering: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Chortles saunters to the canvas and inspects the rope.
"Maybe Tarantio could climb up the wall and see what this rope does?"
Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
Untrained engineering: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Dragos wags a finger in the air at Chortles suggestion, his eyes lighting up in glee.
"Yes yes! Of course, I will ask him forthwith." the Druid replies dutifully before turning to the Drake upon his shoulder with a creepy smile.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Tarantio |
Cocking its head to the side, Tarantio's glare attempts to melt the very flesh of their Business partner's face. With an annoyed swish of the tail, Tarantio leaps under the held back Canvas and peers up the wall, examining the rope.
Tarantio then begins to climb.
climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Untrained engineering: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (16) - 3 = 13
Chortles |
"Let's call the denizens of this abyss and then crash it on them! Of course, this may be their way of protecting their greatest treasure. Maybe we should investigate and then trigger it!"
Dragos Gaspair-Dukain |
"Ah, so none of us can stop it from collapsing? A shame! Whatever we do we should not dawdle. I don't think bringing it down will help us right now!"
Creeping forwards, loaded sling in hand, the Undertaker and his business partner peer into the chamber set to collapse to see any sign of what it contains.

Tarantio Perception, Darkvision: 1d20 ⇒ 13
DM PatheticWretch |
Everyone make sure you are good with your map position...it seems half the party is on the right and half on the left, so it's hard for me to see where you're looking except for Flower and Dragos.
Flower and Dragos move forward to investigate the tower choked in rubble. They feel they can safely navigate the crude pull-trap they have discovered.
Dragos also sees a set of double doors to the south.
