Dragos nods as he inspects the CHamber beyond and gives a glance down the corridor.
"Yes, No and Yes!" the Undertaker responds to Stonetree before filling them in on what he can see. "There is a door down the corridor there and a chamber beyong where the cave in was placed. I am sure I can mover around it without setting it off so I will scout out the room, won't be a moment."
As Flower tosses the pebble into the room, Dragos stalks in, his business partner n his shoulder, and looks around the chamber to try and work out why the Goblins would trap the place.

"Well isn't this interesting," Evariel says in a way that makes clear he doesn't find it interesting at all.

Dragos examines the room that Flower illuminates, but doesn't see anything out of place, except for the fact that the tower is ruined and choked with rubble.
Flower, on the other hand, senses some strange vibes coming from a canvass sheet cleverly concealed on the southeast wall. It seems to conceal a secret passage that leads to the southeast.

Chortles and Axe strike up another familiar dinty,
"Well it's all for me grog, me jolly jolly grog,
It's all for me beer and tobacco.
For I spent all me tin on the lassies drinking gin,
Far across the western ocean I must wander."

Assuming Evariel informs of the secret passage
"Aha secrets within secret lairs! A puzzle we should explore no doubt, maybe a way to sneak upon the Goblins, or to even find lost lore and Gemstones! Just one moment whilst I check it does not fall on our heads.
Excitedly, the Undertaker takes his time checking over the secret entrance, if he finds nothing expressing immediate danger he will slowly open it.

Dragos sticks his head in behind the cleverly paintrd sheet and peers down the tunnel, after a moment he steps back and sweeps it back with a flourish.
"Yes yes! Though some of us may need to squeeze their Egos, we will fit!"

While the others examine the tunnel and begin to file in, Flower listens at the other door and examines the immediate area:

"Another sheet ahead my friends." Dragos whispers as they creep through the tunnel, his naturally attuned eyes picking it up from a greater distance. "I say we take a peek if we can, so we know whether to rush or creep. Remember, casting noisy incantations will likely let anyone on the other side know we are here."
With that, he looks pleadingly towards his business partner, with a comical flutter of his eye lashes.

Obvious complaining aside, the tiny Dragon crawls down Dragos' arm and creeps between Stonetree's legs. Carefully, it lowers itself and tries to put it's head through the sheet just enough to see what awaits.

Dragos nods to Tarantio as the creature pulls it head back from the filthy sheet. With a quick whispered conversation in the tongue of Dragons, Dragos smiles and turns to his companions with a hushed voice.
"Only two wretches beyond and neither prepared for us. Let us crush them my friends."

Evariel wrinkles his nose. "Must we crush them? I have a spell that will befriend one. But only if they're elvenoids-- what exactly are they?"

Hearing Drago's words of caution, Chortles sadly puts his Axe away.
"Let me handle this." Chortles whispers as he pushes at Stone Tree to get through. Seeing that Stone Tree's behind fills the area from wall to wall, he then tries to copy the worm's tactic of crawling between Stone Trees legs.
On the other side, he stands, dusts himself off, gives Stone Tree a disapproving grimace, pushes the curtain aside, and begins to cajole the two standing in the room.
Chortles casts Hypnotism (whispering the incantation) to cause the creatures to stop and stare blankly at him. DC 16 Will Save.

Chortles casts Hypnotism (whispering the incantation)
Verbal (V): A verbal component is a spoken incantation. To provide a verbal component, you must be able to speak in a strong voice. Link to source :(

Chortles looks out from under the sheet covering the wall and sees the following:
Various doors lead from this curving room, and a passage leads west. A small table with four rickety chairs sits in the middle of the room. A pair of dice lies on the table amid cups and plates.
Two goblins sit at the table. One of the two goblins stationed here has fallen asleep on his half-eaten plate of food. The other goblin passes the time by putting small pieces of food in her slumbering mate’s ears, creating a culinary work of art . She is so engrossed in the process that she does not notice Chortles.
The bard begins whispering the spell, but Flower steps on his foot to inform him it won't work that way, so he speaks louder. The goblin looks up from her work, and finds that the only thing more fascinating that putting food in her sleeping fellow's ear is Chortles the bard.
Enemy is hypnotized, other is sleeping.

"My dear friend goblin. I am so glad to have found you hear," Chortles says as he saunters in to the room. "My friends and I are lost and could use your help." Chortles pushes the curtain aside to let the others enter as if by magic. With his hands behind the curtain he makes "gag 'em and tie 'em up" motions with his hands as he smiles at the goblin.
They do not need to understand you to be fascinated

They do not need to understand you to be fascinated
Agreed. My point is that you cannot "whisper" the verbal component of the spell because you need to cast in a "strong voice" per the CRB. But, if the GM is OK with it, who am I to argue...

Stepping out into the room with Tarantio on his shoulder, Dragos takes out some rope from his pack and holds it out for Stonetree, knowing the brawler would be more capable than he at tying up thee standing Goblin.
"Well done Chortles, Flower, I trust this holds to your standards?"

![]() |

Stonetree makes his way into the room, frowning slightly and the half eaten food before taking the rope from Dragos. Stoentree gives the goblin a wide berth and approaches it from behind before tying it up.

DM PatheticWretch |

FYI, I was agreeing with Flowers' interpretation of "strong voice," but gave Chortles a surprise round action to cast the spell because the goblin failed perception and was surprised. In effect, it looked up just in time to see Chortles casting the spell, then was hypnotized.
Thanks to Chortles, the group easily ties the pair of goblins up.

"Well done, humans," Evariel nods approvingly. "This lets us avoid any... unpleasantness. See what information you can get out of the awake one-- how many others are here, and so on."

"Ahh you see Goblins are naturally cruel and rather stupid, there is a good chance they do not understand your civilized tongue. Best to chop them now before they scream for help and this place comes down around our ears." says Dragos nonchalantly as he leans on his scythe blade.
Watching Chortles setting off to scout he nods, but twitches as he watches Stonetree bumble after. Ahh well, maybe subterfuge is not our thing. he thinks to himself.
"Stonetree, come knock these things out will you?"

DM PatheticWretch |

Chortles walks down the hallway to the west. Aside from passing two sets of double doors, to his north and south, respectively, he is able to make out a few features of the room to the west. Flower assists with a lighted stone, which reveals the following:
Rubble and sharpened sticks barricade the northern entrance to this curved room, and a thin wall runs down the room’s middle. To the north, a short passageway leads to a similar room. Doors are set in the eastern wall of the room and both walls of the passageway.

Shrugging as they leave the Hog-tied Goblins behind, Dragos follows the bickering couple deeper into the spooky spire. Looking at their options to proceed, the Druid is about to suggest searching for any more crude alarms when Chortles swings open the door for Stonetree.
"Let us hopr that the tower is not brought down on our heads hmm?" he says pointedly, readying his sling in case of more goblinoid assault.

![]() |

"Well my friend, it looks like you just made an ass of yourself." Dragos replies with a titter and a smile of his own, though it is rather unsettling.
"Any of you light fingers that relish in removing the valuables of others from their possession? If not, brute force will be needed"

![]() |

Peering over the broad man's shoulder, Dragos' shoulders slump slightly at the sight of rust and ruin before them. With a sigh of resignation he shrugs and casually steps into the room, peering through the gloom.
"Oh well, this room holds little for us I think. Still we should check it for secret hideaways and tunnels used to ambush foul goblin kind
