"Elf, if you touch me with that I will not be pleased."
pausing a moment and drawing a deep breath,
"Pardon my disrespectful reply to your generosity. While I see you are trying to help me I'd prefer to keep evil at swords distance."

Juan leads the party to the northernmost chamber. The centerpiece of this stark stone chamber is a low stone dais designed to display a statue. A black sheet painted with a seven-pointed rune hangs before the southern exit. The western exit is a set of doors consisting of iron bars an inch in diameter and six inches apart, like those of a cage.

Juan peers at the grating, then shudders a bit, visible even through the inky blackness surrounding him.
"Arrrr. Not be wan'in' t' be stoned again t'day, what say ye lubbers?"
Leaving it to the rest of the party if they want to peek at it or call it a day.

I'm game ... let's finish it

Moved my token up to reflect change, unless we're 'threatre of the mind' on this one, all good either way.

DM Kludde |

Caikahn takes a careful peek into the room beyond. The cavernous stone chamber may have once been an underground amphitheater. Heavy black curtains painted with a seven-pointed rune obscure a complete view, but steep stairs and rows of stone benches descend into a central pit. Pounding drums and the rhythmic chanting of dozens of voices reverberate throughout this chamber.
No fewer than twenty-two acolytes are praying here, absorbed in a ritual led by a female human, who seems to shift in and out of human form - dressing herself in bright hues, then turning into an elemental form...
As in: you don't want to mess with her...

Works for me ... "we came, we saw, we left?"

“How you complete these tasks I leave to your discretion, but I want you to keep murder to a minimum. One of the Lissalan cultists is feeding us information, and I don’t want to risk you killing this valuable source. Furthermore, we want the Lissalans to remain alive so they can turn their full ire against the Aspis Consortium. Once you’ve accomplished these two mission objectives, return here.”
Also, we definitely do NOT want to be here when the river of sludge starts flowing down those steps into their ritual...
Juan will take out a piece of soap and scrawl on a wall hurriedly... Unless someone has chalk, of course
"You stoned our team, we're done with ya! Enjoy th' bath! Duty and Honor, Aspis Style."
And then he will indicate that 'booking it' is in complete order!

Hopefully no one here thinks that GM Kludd's point of "You don't want to mess with her." as an invitation for the Kobi-oshi maru. A no win scenario.
Nope ... pretty much taking him at his word here. Ready to depart for safer environs at this point :-)

Daemina follows Juan's suggestion silently, marching on to a escape route.
lol, I'd pay good money to see this head priestess on the war path after the Aspis.

From an EXCEEDINGLY SAFE DISTANCE.

And so, our Aspis agents Pathfinders make their way back to the surface, to report to Sheila Heidmarch. She is content to hear of the succesful sabotage, and snickers at the mention of the chalked lines that Juan left in the hideout. Congratulations, I'm sure that wasn't too hard for you. Next time I'll have something more challenging for you, I promise.
Congratulations are in order for making it past a basilisk and a stone golem. I'll start creating chronicles, and I'll report the game. Thanks for playing!

DM Kludde |

Chronicles are up (link)!. Let me know if everything is ok.
Yes, I was really fearing for a TPK there. This scenario is already pretty brutal by itself, but you also had the bad luck that the four-player adjustments were next to non-existent. I thought the first part was pretty fun, though. Thanks all for playing!

Looks good on my end. Thank you very much for running the scenario.

Even with the hair-raising parts of the adventure, this was overall enjoyable, thank you for running and to the party for playing!
