Caikahn Bloodsword
“Harder you Aasimar runt, harder! You have to hit harder!” the drill sergeant screams, “If you want a demon to stay down you’ll need to do better than that!”
Keeping her head down, fighting a group of the Diamond City guards Caikahn grunts with determination striking her opponents with renewed vigor. “If you want to stay alive in the World Wound you need to fight harder, longer and dirtier than the demons!”
Caikahn knows this is Morgrym’s way of keeping her on her toes. After years of field practice honing her skills as an Aasiamar Paladin of Ragathiel Caikahn is only allowed to train against groups of opponents. Two years after her arrival in Nerosyan, Caikahn was taking down even the most staunch of veteran guards and trainers. Quickly learning the two handed fighting style her god prefers has led her to many victories within and without of Nerosyan’s city walls. Much to her chagrin Morgrym is always reluctant to let her join the World Wound forays and “crusades”.
Caikahn has brief memories of her life before the city, she has memories, glimpsing demon hordes and bloody wounds upon her previously human body. Visions of fires in the skies, smoke burning her eyes and a repeating dream of a great fiery winged angel reaching into her body. “You…Are…Mine!” The angelic demanding voice reverberates through her body, waking her from each dream. She knows deep in her soul this was Ragathiel saving her from an assuredly painful burning death. Unfortunately this is all she has of her previous existence which seems to be of a human crusader coming from only Ragnathiel knows where…
Life as a female Aasimar in the Cruciform Cathedral barracks wasn’t easy but this is where her life led her. Being told she appeared barely conscious and in poor shape curled at the feet of a Ragathiel statue in the Cruciform Cathedral on Aroden 6th, Crusaders day, leads her to believe this was the day of transformation. “Aasimars are not born as children, they are born as adults and you my dear are an Aasimar through and through.” Stated Krolmnite, a Ragathiel Gnome priest stationed in Nerosyan. “We will work together and see what you have to offer our god.”
Over the years Krolmnite and Morgrym have helped Caikahn hone her Aasimarian skills through the forge of fighting and the passion of prayer.
