Lazar looks at Torrian, then Random, Remus, and finally at Roary, then says okay, okay. don't hurt me, I surrender...

Combat over

Kynn makes his way back downstairs and around into the courtyard.
Once down, he systematically moves from body to body arranging them in some semblance of peace.

"A wise decision Lazar.. Now don't do anything rash and this will end well for you.. What was all this about? What were they in here to steal? Why were they trying to lay all the blame on the Pathfinders? And what has happened to Rognvald Skagni?"

Looking to the group..

"If the guard asks questions Lazar here is part of our group.. He was watching the rear entrance while be went in the front.."

Congratulations, you've made it to the end of the scenario! I will create chronicles and put them up soon. Meanwhile, bear with me as I draft up a big post containing Lazar's view of event.

Lazar, fearing for his live, goes on to explain the plots that are set in motion:

Hjort is but a tool in the entire operation. You see, Runa is a member of the shadow lodge, part of a greater plot. She orchestrated a brutal assault on the proud and mighty coastal village of Hjort, massacring the village. Only Hjort survived, and RUna made sure that he found nothing but Wayfinders among the corpses of the vanquished. Fuelling his hate for the pathfinders, she herself claimed to be betrayed by them, and they teamed up to end the Society's presence in Trollheim.

After careful plotting and hiring mercenaries, Runa and Hjort grabbed the one stalwart ally of the Society who they knew for certain lived in Trollheim: Rognvald Skagni, an expert historian on the three nations of northern Avistan west of the Worldwound—the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, Irrisen, and the Realm of the Mammoth Lords. Skagni had spent the past several years in the north gathering information and materials for a lengthy report of the current state of government in the north to send back to Absalom. Not a Pathfinder himself, Skagni nevertheless made a decent living providing the Society with detailed information about various locations across Avistan. Hjort, Runa, and their mercenaries took Skagni in an evening raid, murdered his servants, and burned his house to the ground. Skagni was sent to Irrisen as a slave, and the mercenaries established a watch on his ruined home for signs of Pathfinder visitors. Any such Pathfinders who arrive are to be made to pay for the attack on Hjort’s village.

That's when you came along...

"So... no one cares about the documents?" Random sighs. "I wonder if the women of Irrisen would welcome some fancy undergarments..."

"Sounds to me like we're heading to Irrisen to save Skagni.. We we're told to deliver the documents to Skagni only, so I say that's what we do.. Well after we rescue him.."

It does seem the thing to do. Can't rightly be leaving one of our own in captivity, and the Captain wanted these documents delivered.

Torrian shrugs. "I haven't done the job I was hired to do yet. The bosses ain't gonna care about a little hiccup like Skagni was enslaved. I say we go get him."
