I still lack any way of flying except for a potion of fly...I'd rather not use that here. Anyone else have an idea to get across the bridge? Are there any places we could use a grappling hook to get across?

"Oh come-on. We can take em!" The little gnome says. Then then drinks his cats grace extract and Strength Mutagen! After that he draws his lucern hammer, coats it with acid, then casts shield. After that he charges!
This takes 4 rounds so buff up :)

![]() |

"Oh by the Pits of Azrael!" cries Mareq as Quartz begins to charge. He quickly begins pulling wands from his waistband and touching Husarq with them.
Shield
Bulls Strength
Cat's Grace
Long Arm
And then a spell, Enlarge Person
Total of five rounds
"WAIT, Quartz! Just a moment!"

![]() |

"Wait, Harrow! What is your greatest desire in combat? Less bleeding by you, greater bleeding by your enemies, or just to be all around bigger?"
If you wait, Mareq can wand you. Or you can wait longer and I can wand you a second time.

![]() |

Harrow shrugs. "Harrow like all those things, but Harrow do fine without if not have any handy..."
I hate to take wand charges from anyone, but don't mind being buffed with anything. These guys look to have reach, so being big wouldn't hurt. But I don't mind waiting for the others to buff.

![]() |

Berosius has more or less exhausted his supply of spells. He arms himself with wands of bless and magic missile, using the bless just before combat.

![]() |

I've moved you on the map. I presume you charge further than 20, else you won't reach the enemy. ;-P

![]() |

I'm guessing that we buffed and moved close enough to charge? Regardless, If we're not close enough this will just be my action for when I'm up next.
A large Harrow looks even more intimidating than a small one. The half-orc smirks, says "Harrow could get used to this," then charges manically into the fray.
He strikes one of the flat-footed skeletons with a vicious blow.
+1 nodachi (adamantine, power attack, furious focus, studied target, enlarged, charge): 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 2 = 312d8 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8, 8) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 28
CRIT?: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 2 = 162d8 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7, 1) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 20

![]() |

Auntie Stagg waits till she gets bigger then charges"Skeletons you make great soup" and then looks disguested at her axe when her blow goes wide over the skeleton's head."Damm axe..
attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
damage (greataxe): 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Husarq |

Husarq feels his muscles get tighter and larger, bulging as the magic of his master infuses every pore, every fiber.
The brand upon his collar burns a brilliant molten red suddenly and Mareq staggers simultaneously.
Husarq, Bey Shamiri, Lord of a Thousand Screaming Efreeti and Master of Burning Death and Pain, stands taller, looking down upon the half-breed creature, Mareq, so long an embarrassment to him.
"THIS. This is how it is meant to be! AT LAST, I RETURN!" he says into the burning air of the City of Golden Death. He smiles a terrible smile that promises death, torture, and more death unending.
"Worm," he says, looking down at Mareq. "I will deal with you when I return from luxurious battle, bathed in the molten shards of my enemy's bones!"
He grips his blade, Al-Saif, and raises it above his head.
"حريق!" shouts the Lord of House Shamir and watches as flames explode from the efreeti great scimitar, cascading down its length. "You, oh Companion, are the only thing my misbegotten son has done right in the last five years!"
"SLAVES!" he cries to the other Pathfinders. "ATTACK!" he screams, before charging the skeletal guardians.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 - 1 + 2 = 19
Slashing dmg: 3d6 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) + 13 + 1 = 20
Fire dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 5 Likely no effect on these things.
Bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 3
When enlarged and Long Arm'd, Husarq has a 20ft reach.

Remember when I mentioned that the metallic coating on these guys acts like fortification? Yeah... There's a chance that any sneak attacks or crits are negated. I'll roll; a high roll is good for the bad guys.
Fortification: 1d100 ⇒ 78 , Negated. Sorry, Harrow. :(
Auntie, Harrow, Husarq, and Quartz charge ahead in an attempt to bum rush the guards. Sadly, only Harrow connects with his intended target. As he strikes, there is a deafening CLANG! Furthermore, it looks like the enemy resisted some of his damage.

Tan'ia and Berosius may still act in the surprise round, if they wish.

Mareq staggers under the burning pain of the brand upon his forehead, put there long ago by his hated father during his enslavement in Fommok Mahdinat, the City of Brass. The Ignan word for "Thrall" burns a molten red that matches that upon Husarq's collar.
The fiery-haired ifrit collapses to his knees, the searing heat of the surrounding air shimmering about him. In this light Mareq appears to an acute observer to be small and withered, frail like a old man, or perhaps a lame child of some weak, forgotten, slave woman.
"Beware... he will be un- uncon-" he tries to say, whispering with emaciated lungs lacking in air, before dropping his wand of Long Arm upon the cobblestones of the bridge, and collapsing to the ground.
No action.

Don't forget the +1/+1 from bless!
Berosius merely stands by with his wand of cure light wounds.
Oh, oh! GM, does the bless make Husarq's attack hit?

![]() |

Tan'ia, anything you want to do before the guards react?
That was a surprise round, yes? Do we know initiative order for regular rounds yet?

![]() |

Harrow growls and drops his nodachi, seeing it didn't do as much damage as he had hoped.
"Harrow have other weapon he thinks hurt bone guys more!" he says, and he pulls a heavy flail made from silver from his belt.
"Try this!" he yells as he smacks one up side the head.
MW silver heavy flail (power attack, furious focus, studied target, enlarged, bless): 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 1 = 301d10 + 9 - 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 9 - 1 + 1 + 2 = 21
CRIT?: 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 1 = 231d10 + 9 - 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 9 - 1 + 1 + 2 = 18 39 dmg total

Tan'ia will do the battle wrath variant channeling again, grating a +1 bonus to damage and confirming crits for the party mates during the "surprise" round.
If this is during the surprise round, that means Husarq's attack would have bumped up by 2. GM? Hit? ;-)

Husarq |

"AT LAST! The rush of battle and destruction of enemies!" screams Shamir Bey as the swings Al-Saif again. "The fire in my veins is not just the glorious power of the rightful Efreeti masters of creation, but the thrill of killing!"
Power Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 1 - 1 + 1 = 16
Slashing dmg: 3d6 + 13 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) + 13 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 30
Fire dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 2
When he sees Quartz' failed attack, he shouts down at him, "STRIKE HARDER OR FACE MY WRATH, SLAVE! YOUR WEAKNESS IS CONTAGIOUS!"

I see a bonus to damage from Tan'ia, not a bonus to attack rolls. :-(

Ah. Good point. Sorry 'bout that.

Tan'ia, becoming frustrated with her inability to be useful, will try a Burst of Radiance on the bad guy.
If useful, it blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds, unless it succeeds a DC 15 Reflex save, then it is just dazzled (same duration). If evil, it will also take 4d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 1) = 8 points of damage, whether it saves or not.

Overconfident after several devastating hits, Harrow goes berserk and misses.
MW silver heavy flail (power attack, furious focus, studied target, enlarged, bless): 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 + 1 = 121d10 + 9 - 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 - 1 + 1 + 2 = 17
