Harrow Tatterhood

Harrow studies the target on the left for a moment to determine the best way to attack it, then aggressively moves in to stab at it.
"Outta the way, evil guardians of evil!"
+1 nodachi (adamantine, power attack, furious focus, studied target): 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 1 = 301d10 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 1 = 13
CRIT? Sounds like they are immune, but you said 'possibly immune': 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 1 = 251d10 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 1 = 17

Sorry for the delay posting. The holidays have been busier than expected.
Fortification, high is good for the enemy: 1d100 ⇒ 91
Quartz kicks things off as he often does--explosively!
Harrow follows up viciously. But the caryatid's fortification negates some of the efficacy of his strike.
Am presuming that you and quartz attack the same enemy. Also, since your weapon is adamantine, I'm not bothering with damage upon your weapon. The caryatid column cannot get past its hardness of 20.
Mareck strategically hides himself from the enemy.
Berosius is spent from a hard day of adventuring, but ready to assist his compatriots nonetheless.

The injured enemy tries to strike back, but misses.

Mareq Bolthune
|
Mareq steps quietly past the constructs, invisibly moving a safe distance down the bridge, away from the gold-clad constructs.
Stealth: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23
From far behind the things, he begins concentrating, seeking to split the walls between the planes and bring a denizen of the elemental planes to Golarion.
His hair, normally flowing back and forth as if aflame, suddenly stands on end as an enormous thunderous <CRACK> is heard on the bridge. An electrical bolt of pure blue/white energy splits the the air behind the statue attacking Quartz. Out of the crackling planar rent steps a man-shaped creature like a dark storm cloud, with sparks suggesting eyes and long sweeping arms charged with bolts of lightning.
Summon Monster (Lightning Elemental, Small). With Augment Summoning Feat it has 15hp, AC 14.
It immediately charges the statue fighting Harrow, rushing the 10ft nearly instantaneously, like a lightning bolt given life.
Bullrush with Augment Summoning+Spark Leap+Charge-Size: 1d20 + 3 + 10 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 10 + 2 - 1 = 33
When it hits the gold-plated construct its lightning bolt-like arms connect with it in an incredible arcing flash, pushing the thing over the edge of the bridge!

Harrow, snarling like a madman, circles the remaining creature as he studies how to best defeat it.
He waits until he thinks he sees an opening, and then attacks.
+1 nodachi (adamantine, power attack, furious focus, studied target): 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 1 = 151d10 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 1 = 13
Tan'ia
|
Feeling rather useless, Tan'ia will Battle/Wrath Channel her party mates in range for 2d6 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11 points.
Battle/Wrath: Heal—Creatures gain a channel bonus on weapon damage and critical hit confirmation rolls until the end of your next turn. I guess I still roll?
Mareq Bolthune
|
The lightning elemental turns and rushes at the remaining statue, attempting to push it over the bridge, also.
Bullrush with Augment Summoning+Spark Leap+Charge-Size: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 + 2 - 1 = 16
Not sure if that succeeds.
Mareq Bolthune

Does your elemental have improved bull rush?
[dice=Attack of Opportunity]1d20+8, [dice=Damage]2d4+6
He does not. However, I edited his attack wrong. It should be 1d20 + 3 + 10 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 10 + 2 - 1 = 25. So, subtracting the 10pts of damage, his bullrush was a 15, total.

The Third Ring of Xin-Grafar stands 40 feet above the level of the Second Ring, and its ceiling is 40 feet high. A small building sits atop a flat, stone island inside the Third Ring, completely surrounded by a 25-foot-wide canal of molten gold and accessible only by a small bridge. (Seem familiar? ;-P LOL!) It seems MUCH hotter here. (You will take damage by merely crossing the bridge.)
An enormous skeletal dragon, plated from head to tail in gold and sparkling in the greenish glow from above, stands guard on the bridge ahead.
It's a large-size creature. You see it from some distance away. However, with the open layout of this area, it will also see you from a distance. How would you like to prepare?
Take as much time as you need to heal, buff, etc.
Harrow Tatterhood

Harrow casts a preparatory spell, expeditious retreat, though he has no thought of running away.
"Anyone have fire protection?" he asks as he studies the dragon from a distance.

"I do but I can only use it on me...." The gnome says sadly. "Well I think I can hit it a few times from here. My acid bombs and stuff should work wonders on it. Shame to ruin the gold though..." He adds. Then goes over to Penelope getting more Acids flasks.

No other prep?
Skeletal Dragon Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27
Yep. It sees y'all. However many rounds that the party uses to buff, the dragon will also use to prepare.
Harrow knows that this thing is undead; channeling/positive energy will work. As a skeleton, this thing gains DR5/bludgeoning. You've seen the gold coating before, too; this creature enjoys the benefits of fortification.

I will drink an extract of true strike. When we get close enough..
"Well I guess i'll start!" The gnome says pouring an acid flask over his bow, combining a bomb with the bolt and firing!
Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 20 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 20 = 34
Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 3d6 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (4, 3, 3) + 5 + (4) = 21
2 normal 19 acid.

That sounds to me like two rounds. One round to get the party within range, and one round to buff. Anyone else need more than two rounds? Going once... going twice...
Since at least one of you is rolling an attack, and there is no surprise round, let's roll initiative to see who goes first after two rounds of buffing.
Auntie: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Berosius: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Harrow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Mareck: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Quartz: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Tan'ia: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Sorted Initiative Order:
Mareck: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Harrow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Berosius: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Dragon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Quartz: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Auntie: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Tan'ia: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The combat map has been updated.
ROUND 1
Mareck, Harrow, and Berosius are up first. Then, the dragon goes!
Mareq Bolthune
|
Don't go yet! Mareq needs to buff!
Mareq struggles to call forth another lightning elemental. When it responds to him, finally, he touches it with both his wand of Bull's Strength and his wand of Mage Armor. The electricity arcs from the things body, across the length of the wooden wands, giving Mareq a sharp, quick shock.
He grimaces, before touching himself with the wand of Mage Armor, as well.
So that took one round for summon, one round for BS, one for MA, and another for second MA. Four rounds total.
Mareq Bolthune
|
When ready, the lightning elemental flies towards the dragon and reaches its crackling hands out at it, slamming as hard as it can.
Slam+metal mastery+charge: 1d20 + 5 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 3 + 2 = 13
Slam Dmg: 1d4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
Electricity Dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 2

"Harrow think spread out, okay?" the now fleet-footed half-orc says.
Quickly, before the dragon can react, the half-orc rushes to get behind it and draw its attention.
Seeing that its reach is much larger than his own, he swiftly casts litany of sloth, hoping to get past its defenses. Swift action, DC 14 Will to avoid AoO.
In his rush to get close to the dragon, his attack is not his best.
+1 heavy flail (silver, power attack, furious focus, studied target): 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 1 = 121d10 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 1 = 12 bah...still, against flat-footed...maybe a chance?
EDIT. Actually, it occurred to me that a flat-footed creature might not get an AoO unless it has combat reflexes. Is that right? Maybe I don't need to use that litany after all...but I guess it doesn't hurt.
Mareq Bolthune

With all of his buffs, the lightning elemental is:
AC18, touch 17, flat-footed 16 (+2 Dex, +1 natural, +1 size +4 mage armor)
HP13
Fort +5, Ref +5, Will +0
CMD 17
GM Engleaktig

Even though their enemy is, indeed flat-footed, both Harrow and the elemental (the blue circle on the map) bounce harmlessly off of the dragon. (Litany not required, Harrow. Keep the spell, if you wish.)
Berosius typically delays, since he's not really a combatant. So, one final check before I have the dragon do its thing: Is everyone cool with their position on the map?

ROUND 1
The dragon full attacks, starting with the Harrow:
Bite: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30, Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (4, 4) + 10 = 18
Claw: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28, Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Claw: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25, Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Harrow goes down. (Unless you want to use orc ferocity?) He is at -9 HP.
The dragon continues its attack on the elemental:
Wing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Wing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17, Miss!
Tail: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26, Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
The elemental goes away. Then, the dragon takes a 5-foot-step forward.
____________________________________________________________
Quartz, Auntie, and Tan'ia are up.
Quartz previously rolled his attack. None of the arrow damage goes through, but the dragon seems to take some acid damage.

Ouch! That didn't go how I had hoped. Sorry...I'm a liability at this point. Hopefully someone can do better than I did!

Berosius
|
Seeing his best friend in the entire world possibly killed before his eyes, Berosius once again shows that selflessness which has before this borne them both out of danger. With a speed uncharacteristic of his race, Berosius charges across the bridge and right under the dragon's wing.
"Harrow!" he yells, his voice reaching a pitch almost high enough to be a squeak.
Yeah, that's going to draw an AoO
