This is a CORE table. Please check, and then double check your character is a CORE character.
If you are currently in a game or expect to apply a GM chronicle before play, hold off putting in the information.
To make my life easier when it comes to filling in chronicles, if you could each put in a single post with:
Chronicle: What chronicle number this is for the character
History: What scenarios has the character completed? (or been credited with); any other chronicles (special boons etc)
Name:(the player) real name (as you have it appear on your chronicle sheets)
AKA: Character name
Faction: Your faction
PFS: # for the character
XP: starting XP, Note if Slow track!
Prestige: Starting prestige
Fame: Starting Fame
Gold: Starting wealth you bring into the adventure. This should be the total on your previous chronicle. If you want to buy any new stuff... see further on.
Day job: include the roll or that you don't have one. If you want to use a reroll at the end just note here you may want to use a reroll. If you don't include a roll I'll be assuming you take ten. Add the actual gold amount if you want to save me looking it up...
Spend: If you want to buy anything before the scenario starts (apart from your initial 150gp if you are a new character) include it here. This will appear in the "items bought" and/or "items sold" part of the chronicle.
Try to hold off actual discussion here until we have one post per character with those details (makes life easy for me to make the chronicles for you all at the end).
Please add an Icon for your character to the map. If you don't know how, let me know and I'll help. Also dot into the gameplay thread, or just hang around and RP there if you like.

Two archers and a bard. I'm already liking our chances.
Olaf by any chance could you stock up a bit and share some blunt arrows? I played REDACTED with a different character.

![]() |

Two archers, a bard, and a snake. I think you are forgetting the party snake. Does Hugsy still have his hat?

![]() |

Well the snake rarely gets to do much indoors. Sadly Hugsy died in the second fight of the special. But I did save the hat so I'll just need to find a different name.

![]() |

Olaf by any chance could you stock up a bit and share some blunt arrows? I played REDACTED with a different character.
Sure, how many do you want?

![]() |

Up to you. We might face one skeletal encounter, 0, or 7. We both shoot a lot of arrows and 20 blunt arrows are 2gp. On the other hand it feels bad to be just a few gp short of something you want to buy while carrying around an overstock of something.
I tend to fire well over 100 arrows during these specials. More if the GM and table is very active. So it is good to have a lot of extra arrows handy.

![]() |

The hat dates back to a previous special where Hugsy wore it to a reenactment of the seige of Absalom.
At least I think that is where it came from.

![]() |

Yes. I bought a masterwork gaudy hat for Hugsy at the time. That one got lost in a sewer in the next special so I bought a replacement. The replacement survived but Hugsy didn't. Here's hoping they both survive this time. Riddywipple bought a hat as well but his is long gone. I suspect because Andrew got sick of having to keep it on Riddy's head during map movement.

I have added 100 cold iron blunt arrows, they are only 20gp. Feel free to take 50 of them, that should cover us for the entire event.
I have already made my major purchase on this character, waiting about 4 levels before he could afford celestial armour.
Aerondor could you add an extra 20gp expense to my total for this game please. I have already marked it on my ITS.

![]() |

Unless the ones on the sheet are cold iron I don't think we can add materials. For example if you find a +1 weapon with a non core ability you can't just pay the extra and buy it as adamantium.

![]() |

Hmm, good point, regular it is then and I save myself a whopping 10gp.

![]() |

Thanks. I'll still use my regular cold iron as a the default.

![]() |

My last adventure ran me out of Ghost Touch arrows. I have the boon that lets me buy 10 at a time and am undecided how many to get.
I have about 10K gold and was thinking upgrade cloak to +3 (5,000) and Finally buy my Eyes of the Eagle (2,500). That would leave me enough to buy 10 arrows, 5 for each of us. But the museum is urban so my Perception should be +19 without the EotE. And if I hold off on those I could buy 20 arrows. We each hold on to 10.

![]() |

Not that I want to drop too many hints, but just because you start in the museum doesn't mean you should assume you will end up there.

![]() |

Come to think of it I hit level 10 after this but my wisdom isn't high enough to get a bonus level 3 spell yet. So I'll upgrade my cloak, Get 10 GT arrows, and save the rest towards upgrading my headband.
So starting gold is 3,828.9 and I'll probably buy 100 more cold iron arrows after this for 10gp. And my starting prestige is actually 23.
And my new snake will be named... Pookie.

For our GM, you should know that I have played this in regular mode at tier 10-11 so I will be keeping my mouth shut quite a bit.

![]() |

Actually I do have an extra purchases.
At the start of this I want to spend 2 PP on a wand of CLW. It is looking like Pookie will have to be our tank.
Also at the end of this I'll be retraining a feat. Losing Manyshot, Gaining Iron Will
Spending 5 prestige points and 450 gold.

vlaovich88 |

Hey, I am just posting to ask if you were okay with me running a pre-gen character? I want to play this story and this is the last open group and I don't have a core character this high level. If you would prefer to keep it open for a normal character, I understand.
I am willing to play any pre-gen you would like to help balance the group. I am very experienced in pathfinder.

![]() |

I would suggest either
Cleric: Our healing is mostly just wands right now.
or
Sorcerer: We have no good answer to swarms and extra Hastes would come in handy.

![]() |

I would go with Seoni but play what you think you will enjoy the most.

![]() |

Here is my profile for Seoni. Let me know if I overlooked anything. This is my first time using a pre-gen, do I answer all the questions you put based on the character that I am applying the credit to?

![]() |

Looks good. I'll need the details of the character you want to apply the pregen credit to.

![]() |

Cronical number 2nd
Name Dylan Vlaovich
AKA Nigel Flit
Faction The exchange
PFS 263825-1
XP 0 but he should be finishing up a scenario tomorrow so it will be one soon
Prestige 0
fame 0
gold 44 to
day job the guide book makes it sound like I roll the gre-gen's day job which isn't one for Seoni.
History 5-04 the swollen heir.

![]() |

When playing a pregen you can use roll a day job check if they have the correct skill. You are also considered to be a member of the faction you are applying the credit to. That means you gain faction specific boons if the scenario has any and you can even check of a faction goal if you use the faction cards.
That is actually a way to fill in a goal you may normally have a tough time filling in, Play a pregen with the appropriate skill.

![]() |

One question that isn't covered in the guidebook because it is exclusive to pbp is if I can play Nigel in a different pbp at the same time that he is getting credit for this one or if sense he is getting credit he is locked out. I assume he will be locked but figured I'd ask.

![]() |

I suspect it is assumed he is locked out, because if the pre-gen dies in this, Nigel dies. Though up until this season that wouldn't have been an issue.
Generally pregens are subb-optional, so unless it is specifically written up anywhere I'm pretty comfortable with your playing Nigel at the same time.
@Ragnar, when did the faction and day job thing change? I thought pregens were always grand lodge?

![]() |

I am glad to hear that! His first adventure just finished up and it would really stink to not have any play by post running till this one starts.

![]() |

@GM Aerondor - I know the Day Job changed in Season 8 for PreGens.
I never saw the text re. PC Faction applying to PreGen.

![]() |

![]() |

I didn't realize we had a real sorcerer in the group when I decided on the pre gen one. I was going based on the posts in this thread, I didn't think to look on the sign up sheet. If you would like, it would probably make more sense if I played pre-gen cleric and you can play your normal character.

Standard Pregen |

Well, to be fair, it took me a while to post in this thread.
If you had your heart set on playing the sorcerer, it would be gauche of me to force a swap; I am happy to play Kyra.
Of course, if you don't mind either way, I am also perfectly happy playing my actual PC :-)

![]() |

I think it would make it run easier if I played the cleric. While Seoni isn't bad... she's not really built the best so I am sure we would be stronger and it would be more fun to have people playing their characters. I don't mind playing the cleric at all!
Sorry Aerondor for doing so much swapping around. I'll change my character to the cleric, and post as her in a few hours as I expect I will need to change the skill I took a boost to.

![]() |

Here is my cleric. I stole your idea of using one profile for anytime you play a pre-gen instead of bogging down the alias list.
EDIT: one of these times i will remember to use the right alias

![]() |

Mechanics time. We as a table have an aid token we can use. It is generally best to use it rapidly and then pass it on for someone else to use, rather than sit on it.
During the event, it is possible for characters at one table to assist those at another with Aid Tokens. Each represents the assistance of allied Pathfinder agents who assist the PCs.
Once per encounter, any character at a table can use an Aid Token to assist the group in one of the ways described below. Once a table uses an Aid Token, pick another table and I'll see it is passed onto them.
If a table receives an Aid Token and doesn’t need its benefits, they’re encouraged to boost its potency by expending some of their own resources or attempting a skill check. Boosting an Aid Token, including attempting a skill check, is part of passing that Aid Token to another table. A table can neither retry such a skill check nor boost an Aid Token more than once before passing it to another table.
A table may boost a token even while in combat without taking any in-round actions; the scenario assumes the aid was granted before that encounter began.
Some Aid Token benefits may only be used if already boosted by another table. An Aid Token’s benefits vary based on the table’s subtier, and these benefits can take one of the following forms.
Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one attack by 2d8 points. In addition, after the attack, anyone attacking the target is considered to be flanking it until the beginning of the attacker’s next turn. To Boost: Succeed at an attack roll against an AC 23. Boosted Effect: +1d8 points of damage.
Burst of Healing: A Pathfinder agent heals all of the PCs of 3d6 points of damage. To Boost: Expend one use of channel positive energy or cast one spell with the healing descriptor with a spell level greater than or equal to 4. A PC must cast this spell, not simply activate a wand or scroll. Boosted Effect: +2d6 points of damage healed.
Timely Inspiration: A Pathfinder agent provides the effects of a bard’s inspire courage bardic performance for 3 rounds. In Subtiers 1–2 and 3–4, the competence bonus is +2. To Boost: Expend 3 rounds of bardic performance or similar ability. Boosted Effect: Increase the competence bonus by 1.
Provide Knowledge (must be boosted): Gain the benefits of a Knowledge skill check or Spellcraft skill check used to identify a magical item; the type and difficulty (Easy, Average or Hard) depend on the table granting the benefit. To Boost: Succeed at a Knowledge check of your choice, the result of the check (Easy, Average or Hard) should be noted on the Aid Token.
Provide Spellcasting (must be boosted): Gain the benefits of a beneficial spell cast by an ally as listed on the Aid Token. To Boost: Cast one of the following spells lesser restoration, neutralize poison, remove curse, or remove disease. Only these spells may be granted. Expending resources that produce the effects of these spells, such as a paladin’s mercy class feature, may also
grant these benefits.

![]() |

I've included this text at the top as well.
I suggest at this stage it would be good to get the ball rolling by using a skill check and passing it into another table, but that decision will sit with you the players.
