Thanks for the move
Marshala regroups with the other conscious Pathfinders and readies an action to cast Obscuring Mist if either the Champion or the Monolith shifts their attention toward attacking us.
Do we lower sails an' be sittin' this squall out? If Desna be smiling upon us and Besmara feels generous, we may be able to take what's left o' the victor.
(She doesn't look totally convinced by her own words.)

Champion goes again for the monolith.
bite: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (17) + 26 = 43 for 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 3) + 9 = 15 damage.
claw1: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (4) + 26 = 30 for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 damage.
claw2: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (4) + 26 = 30 for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 damage.
claw3: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (8) + 26 = 34 for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 damage.
claw4: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (5) + 26 = 31 for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 damage.

Whisper double moved grateful for the heals!
Not sure what damage we can do here... Damn that Zarta for me being here at all...perhaps we should focus on supporting our friend here?

Wilhimina looks at the starknife still in her hand, and shakes her head. "I hit it good and proper, and I didn't even scratch the thing. I'd have to be the luckiest gnome alive to damage that," she says, gesturing at the ape.
Whisper, did you remember to up your hit points to reflect the healing? I thought you'd be higher than that between the two of us healing you.
I think the only way Wilhimina can damage the ape is if she crits, and does max damage...

Bite, claws 3, and 4 hit for 44 damage: 58/155 hp
Or if not adamantine, 0 damage, and 153/155 hp.
Slam 1: 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (14) + 36 = 50Damage 1: 4d12 + 27 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 5) + 27 = 42
Slam 2: 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (2) + 36 = 38Damage 2: 4d12 + 27 ⇒ (3, 7, 1, 6) + 27 = 44
The monolith continues to pound relentlessly on the four-armed beast, its arms spinning unnaturally in their sockets like a two-fisted windmill.

Marshala squints up at Whisper.
Enemy o' my enemy, and all that? Aye, we can try it. Iffen it wants to kill us after, we be dead anyway. Ah can at least shroud you from it a bit if you're movin' in.
We can move up to give the monolith a flank to help ensure it hits, but Marshala's got squat for spells that would aid it, or harm the ape. She has to roll a 19 to actually hit the ape, and only because bless and divine favor are still up. Obscuring mist would at least give it a miss chance against us and prevent the AoO for approaching but she'll have to cast it from 20ft back to position it.
She also has rope if you've any creative ideas there.
Marshala moves up and again readies Obscuring Mist, this time for if Whisper or Wilhimina closes toward melee with the ape.

YAY! Champion is down! As soon as the champion falls, Balthazar wakes up, has full memory of what he did controlling the monolith.
With the charau-ka and their champion defeated, the remnants of the ape-men flee back into the jungle, giving the excavation site its first relative peace in 10 months.
With most of the camp either wounded or sick, Dias fears she may have to bury the site and take the key with her back to Absalom. Regardless, she thanks you profusely for your timely help, promises to report to her venture captain in Absalom that the success at Azlant Ridge was due in no small part to your efforts.
because the box text says so Dias, over the next several days, guides the camp through packing and loading the caravan wagons to head for the coast and catch a vessel bound for Absalom. She packs away the key and the monolith control device and has the camp workers bury all signs of their dig, including triggering a rock fall to rebury the door to the Azlanti complex.
I'll get chronicles out ASAP. Sorry it took so long.

Yay for champion going down! Boo for dig site being abandoned. Though I hear we're going to go back *real* soon!

Balthazar's body jolts awake as the Monolith goes limp.
"That... Was... AWFUL!" he shouts. "I saw that massive monkey mauling me, but I could barely feel anything!"
His volume drops as he whips out his notebook and begins furiously scribbling notes. "A fantastic weapon though... the Paracountess is going to want to see this!"
On the ship home, Balthazar makes himself fairly scarce, keeping out of the common areas. He occupies himself with studying his notes, his spells, and finalizing his reports.
Good game everyone! I enjoyed gaming with you all!
We roll day jobs, scroll scribing, and such *before* we apply the chronicle and level up, correct?

Yes, though if you're spending money after the adventure, you can use the gold from the chronicle to do so, meaning you didn't need to already have enough to cover the cost. Leveling up is the last thing you do.
