Grigori hovers protectiviely around Jazmine, while Zimti throws a bomb...
Okay, dragon is 20' up which would be short range only if you are directly below it. Zimti is maybe 5' tall at the top of his arm, so 15', and 10' away.. takes out calculator... mutters incantation of pythagerous and conclues... short range.. Just.
The bomb sails up into the air, hitting the dragon, which screaches in pain as the liquid fire spreads over it
Hanud loads and again fires his crossbow
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12, with no more joy than the first one.
Ozak guards his corner.
I should point out the team is aware they have met the strict requirements of the mission. Of course defeating a dragon would be damn cool, and probably get them a bit of notice back at the Grand Lodge. But it is not strictly speaking, essential to the mission.

Grigori : 5 damage (defending Jazmine)
Zimti : 2 bombs left
Hanud
Darius : used 10 rounds of music and 2 of rage. 5 damage
Ozak : 1 DEX damage; 2 damage full defence.
Jazmine : 4 damage
Giggles : 5 damage
My baby dragon: 12 damage

Wait a 23 misses? :(. also 4 dmg from prev round is healed already, last 1 is healed this round.
"Get down here, Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!"
Instead of the javalin, Darius takes out his whip and moves closer, under the dragon and tries to whip it good.
whip: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 211d4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

![]() |

Oopse, not 23 hits. Good job you are checking up on me, I thought the roll was lower for some reason. How did you get +8 on the whip attack, your sheet shows +5. I get rage song gives a str bonus, but not +3

I'm just checking the reach of a scorpion whip,as there is some disagreement about it. Which source are you using Scorpion Whip from Darius?

![]() |

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Cursing as yet another arrow goes wide, Jazmine desperately tries to think of a solution to get the dragon down to the ground.
"Anyone good with ropes? Maybe we can pull it down!"

![]() |

Thought I had it made mwk, not sure now. Otherwise just reduce the attack by 1. I use the version where the scorp has the same reach and capabilities, just does lethal dmg and I think is 1d4 instead of 1d3. Thought that was the only version? I'll have to check the source later gtg now.

Jazmine tosses the priest her rope

@Darius, your scorpion whip won't reach the dragon, you can try a different action instead if you like.

fast forwarding a round. Darius can act twice if he wants
The little dragon flies to the opposite corner of the room, screeching in rage at the group.

Seeing as how she cant hit the broad side of the keep, Jazmine pulls out her wand of CLW.
CLW, self: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
CLW, Grigory: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
She then puts her wand away and tries to think of something to do against this beastie that seems to be just out of reach.

Round 4
Grigori immediately drops his blade point first into the floor, loops the end of the rope with both hands, and tosses one end at the dragon in the hopes of entangling at least one of its wings...
Grapple check, I guess:
CMB (Grapple): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
I still haven't found the rules for using rope since they dropped 3.5's Use Rope skill, and a search for using rope proved futile, so... correct my check as needed.

"Hey! Where are you going, my precious? Will you be my pet?" The little wayang hustles after the evading dragon, and lobs another bomb up into the air toward the beast...
MA 20' move. SA Bomb again, same parameters. PBS +1/+1. INT +4, so 1d6+6 base, splash 7 DC 16. One bomb left :(.
Bomb: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 1 = 9 Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 1 = 11
Miss?: 1d8 ⇒ 3
However, in his hustle, the bomb appears to float upwards off-target. "Oop. Duck!"
Looks like it misses north of the dragon. Splash damage?

Darius will cast sleep on it. Dc 14. Same thing next round if it failed.

Jazmine heals herself, but doesn't have time yet to also heal Grigori.
Grigori tries to entangle the dragon from afar, but the range is far too long. He thinks it would be tough even from directly below, but from where he is at the moment, impossible.
Zimti slowly moves across the floor remember difficult terrain, so each square costs twice, his bomb goes wide. No splash damage, it is 40' up, but those on the ground may be affected by splash.
Darius trys to send the creature to sleep (twice), but it stays flying.
(I assume you have dropped your music now?)
Hanud again cranks up his crossbow.
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 His cold fingers slip and the bolt flies wide of the mark.
The tiny terror again flies across to the bunched pathfinders and breathes icy death over them.
cold damge: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5 (ref dc14 for half)
gm rolls: 1d3 + 1d4 + 1d6 + 1d8 + 1d20 ⇒ (3) + (3) + (2) + (4) + (6) = 18

Yes but the bonus lasts for 2 rounds should people want them. no penalties then! Btw Darius only has 5 dmg, the others were healed off I believe?
Darius grabs his bow and shoots at the dragon in frustration of his spells failing him.
bow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 251d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
bow confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 202d8 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13

Hanud is Back!
Hanud cranks back and attempts to shoot the blasted flying lizard again.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage, if hits: 1d8 ⇒ 1
"What kind of cowardly thing are ye?" He shouts as the dragon keeps strafing the Pathfinders.

![]() |

Ozak will rush over to Hanud and grab his crossbow and bolts. He then loads the bow and shoots at the Dragon.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6
"Hmm i must get used to firing these again..."

Round 5
The priest has a fleeting thought to toss his sword at the dragon. Thinking such a thing would not suit his idiom, he has another idea.
He steps over to Darius and steals a few of his javelins! "Hope you don't mind under the circumstances, dear boy." He then tosses one at the dragon... and hits the wall instead. Cursing under his breath, he remarks aloud, "Your influence is rubbing off, comrade Zimti."
Throw a javelin at the dragon:
Attack (javelin): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
In case Darius tries to prevent the theft:
CMB (steal): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Don't know how many Darius has left, but he'll leave him at least one, and take up to this many:
# javelins stolen: 1d3 ⇒ 2

![]() |

I am assuming that either she was able to put away her wand on the last turn, or that putting away the wand and firing the bow would both be acceptable as she is not moving. If I am wrong, please tell me
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Growling in defiance, Jazmine once again lifts her bow to fire at the damned overgrown bat.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

![]() |

The pathfinders continue their game of bipede and dragon around the room.
Fed up, Darius grabs his bow and makes a great shot. While his hands are busy, Grigori grabs a javelins and also throws it. Ozak and Hanud also change weapons and the dragon falls out of the sky, taking falling damage to add insult to (serious) injury.
Combat over!

Oops, forgot the reflex save:
Reflex vs DC 14: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
I'm actually at 6 damage btw, not 7. Don't make me deader than I already am, thank you. ;)

Hanud looks to the others. "I think that we've had enough excitement fer the day. Perhaps, just perhaps, we should find out who did this exactly, and then work to make sure it dinnae happen again."

![]() |

The priest returns any unused javalins back to Darius with a grin. He retrieves his sword, sheathes it, then tells everyone, including the slaves, to gather around him and once more prays to his goddess to heal everyone.
He concurs with Hanud, puffing up his chest to look good for Jazmine. "Yes comrade Hanud, let us complete an examination of this place and determine where to go from here to bring this unhappy trade to an end." Finding some documents with his comrades' help, they discover their next trek should be to the Mammoth Lords' realm.
Looking to the scholar, Grigori begins to discuss what to do with him and the freed slaves, and takes a look at the map he's made for them.
Channel energy, heal:
HP Healed: 1d6 ⇒ 1

![]() |

reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Darius takes a full blast of the cold and will heal himself up using a wand. Once the creature is downed he makes sure it is dead dead by slitting its throat and then puts it in a bag. "New pair of shoes...or should I make gloves out of them..." He mutters aloud whilst bagging the corpse of the baby dragon.

![]() |

"You can make gloves out of the goblins' skins. I'm sure those are more your size than mine. Hi hi hi!"

![]() |

Grigori chimes in, "He needs more than a priest, comrade Hanud." Behind the skald's back, the priest's eyes open widely as he makes a circular motion with his index finger by his ear, indicating Darius is out of his mind.

![]() |

Hanud goes to Grigori, whispering so that Darius cannot hear.
"I fail to see what thumb screws will do to help poor Darius, Grigori. Besides, that's outlawed in several nations anymore. Well, not Galt... but not much is outlawed there..."
As the silly comment is said, a thought crosses Hanud's mind. Turning back to Darius, he asks
Darius, might ye be from Galt? Did ye witness anything terrible in yer childhood, or were ye born 'Touched'?"
Hanud asks this genuinely of Darius.
And I expect Darius to take light of or make fun of Hanud for this inquiry.

![]() |

"But of course I have been touched. That nanny of mine couldn't keep her hands of little Darry nor his willy, hi hi hi.
Besides the only thing priests like to look at are little boys. I think I have far outgrown them."

![]() |

The priest scratches his head a moment at the disturbing imagery of pedophilia put forth by the jester. He can only bring himself to nod knowingly to Hanud, as if to confirm, Yep, certifiably insane that one!
Carrying on, he sees if he can assist Jazmine in any way he can, inserting a double entendre into the conversation here and there, as usual.

![]() |

Hanud blinks for a moment.
"Darius, my boy, you certainly are a piece of work. At least you know you were touched... Not certain that you meant it the same way I did, but touched nonethless."
As he turns from darius, he catches Grigori's nodding. His usual glum demeanor breaks for but a moment, and he smirks knowingly to Grigori in agreement.
Darius, you are insane. Amusing, offensive, and a few other compliments as well.
