Believing he actually did land a killing blow on that goblin in the dark, Grigori strikes a heroic pose with his saber raised up and his foot on a dead goblin's head in Jazmine's light. Entirely ignoring the jester, he then flourishes his free hand in a sweeping gesture as he bows to Jazmine, "Thank you my dear for that burst of light! It shines forth so brilliantly, almost as does your angelic gaze. I could not have done it vwithout you."

The priest then nods in agreement with the dwarf. He then says to Jazmine, motioning for her to come closer, "Stay close, my dear. More danger lurks within these vwalls."

Upstairs the group finds a central hallway with half a dozen smaller armory rooms off it.

One of the doors is open, and beyond it there is an open window.

The pathfinder team quickly moves to the window and spies a small group of people in the yard below. Two match the descriptions of Runa nd Hjort that they have heard.

Usefuly the scenario provides a map of the top story in which no action takes place, but not of the appropriate courtyard. So we are sticking with the current map, but remember the interior is one floor up, and the courtyard is ten feet down. There is a single window that the team is clustered around.

Hanud (luck of the draw) is next to the window.

A small, frozen yard stands between rickety fences to the east
of the armory. Target dummies, both for melee and archery
training, stand at the far eastern end of the icy field.

As he sees you, Hjort starts to yell and froth. "You'll get yours!". The scholarly man nearby takes out a scroll and reads it.

Seeing the foolish pose Gregory stuck, Jazmine quickly turns her light away from him to look at the rest of the room. Annoying, but amusing..... Jazmine thinks. As they get to the window, Jazmine looks out and sees the predicament. "Here! Tie this rope off and we will just go through the window!" Jazmine says as she pulls her rope out of her bag. "I will stay here and give you covering fire with my bow. Quickly now..."

Hanud doesn't bother with the rope. He climb through the window and attempt to land shield first on the guy's head if he fits through the window.

Add to the above roll +3 if it's attack OR CMB roll, -5 if acrobatics. I'm not sure of the roll needed (not covered in rules very well). If it actually hits, the damage from the fall plus a 200+ pound dwarf (with gear) would be rather unpleasant on someone's head. Also: DARN YOU DICE ROLLER!

Round 1

Grigori is about to suggest they simply take the stairs and come around to the yard through the open gate when Hanud climbs out the window. Shrugging, he hastens to mutter a brief prayer for Pharasma's blessing and touches Hanud's shoulder before he exits.

The foppish priest then, with a kiss blown to Jazmine as if she would be concerned for his welfare in bravely going down into battle, follows suit to the window and climbs down after the dwarf.

Cast guidance on Hanud (+1 next attack roll, skill check, or save). Then move to window, climb out and down rope.
Climb: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17

Grigori seizes the chance to offer a last blessing to Hanud. Hanud then jumps out the window. If he had managed to land on the man below, it would have been painful, but he fails and lands in a mess at the mans feet instead.

Grigori follows him down at a slightly more sedate pace.

As he nears the ground Hjort charges towards him, swinging his axe!

Luckily Hjort has only a small axe, although now Grigori looks, there is also a large dagger in the frothing mans off hand...

The man at the bottom of the rope ignores the prone Hanud and tries to finish taking out Grigori.

The priest, impressed with himself for successfully climbing down the rope at least, scoffs at the infernal damnation, "Pfft! Your so-called 'god' has no power over a servant of the Lady, Bringer of Death." He then draws and slices away at Hjort to demonstrate his goddess' role, making a but feeble swing in the air.

Sighing, Uy! Darius and his talk of limpness... I vwill never hear the end of it now... Speaking of whom...

"Uy! Darius, boy! Enough yammering, get down here already! Vwe could use your murderous psychosis right about now!"

The dwarf twins head down the internal stairs.I moved you back a little to reflect the actual internal layout of the building at the top and bottom, you can move as normal from now.

Darius calls out to the raging northman in his most convincing voice.

Zimti, knowing there is no good time not to have a drink, mixes a quick one and downs it. Man he feels good right now. Lets hope his aim is good too.

Jazmine can take an action, the only material affect of the bane spell is -1 to hit and -1 on saves vs fear. See later, I'm assuming her action is to "push" giggles into doing the jump out of the window.

Standing up is a move action, which provokes an AOO, Giggles won't be able to get an attack in this round. Jumping out of a window is definitely a 'push' action, which should really have had a handle animal skill roll associated with it. For the sake of keeping the action flowing, we'll assume she did this and succeeded.

Darius, I moved you a little, as to do the charm, you really should have had line of sight on Hjort, which you didn't. You still don't but it is closer.

The scholar, seeing the doughty Hanud get to his feet, twiddles his fingers and a dart of magic force flies out into the dwarf.

Hjort tries to beat the already wounded Grigori into the ground.

Things start to look dodgy for the pathfinder team, all damaged, many tired and the enemy not yet scratched! Time to change that. Lets hope Zimti's aim is better, not that he can have too many bombs left, surely.

Round 3

Though axe, and dagger, demonic wrath, and winter chill have bloodied and tired the Pharasmin priest, Grigori still stands. Truly he is a diehard man.

Standing confidently, and seeing his comrades' lack of success in harming a hair on their enemies (yet!), the priest now casts a gaze of intensity towards Hjort. He holds up his own holy symbol with his free hand, and prays to the Lady of Graves for healing.

Then, with a smirk on his face, he asks Hjort, "You know you cannot vwin this. You vwill lose... just like the village of the Blood Ram tribe lost, heh heh heh." Grigori, grinning at Hjort through the pain of being stabbed, slashed, smitten, and frozen, looks for a response in his enemy's eyes.

Channel (heal) all within 30 ft, then 5 ft. step:

Where is this window exactly? I had thought it'd between me and Jazmine, judging by where all the courtyard people ended up. Guessing the lonesome guy is the creepy dark scholar. The cutie blonde is the one Runa of the making Zimti roll WILL saves. The redhead and the blond brutes, then, are Hjort and Gyuri? Which is which?

For windows, assume the people in the tiled room have windows looking out. So the windows are on the bottom two squares looking out over the courtyard

Ozak and Azak continue to race through the house, the faster Azak managing to land a blow of the scholar before the man even realises the dwarf is there.

Darius starts to sing yet another irritating song. Man that is getting on everyones nerves. He then climbs down the rope to the ground.

Zimti throws a bomb, hitting Runa, and splashing Hjort.

Ozak hits the guy who tries to hit him. Ozak is a wee bit more successful than the unarmed man, and belts him hard. Meanwhile his twin continues to harry the scholar, scoring another light wound on him.

Darius unleashes a massive blow against the man in front of him, knocking the man to the ground and all but cutting off his head.

Zimti gets tired of waiting for someone to step out from melee and drops a bomb into the middle of the courtyard.

A satisfing boom! goes off, showering the bad guys with bits of burning stuff.

Seeing the barbarian is nolonger risk, Jazmine steps up to stabilise Grigori. Hanud takes the oportunity to advancing on the solitary scholar.

Lazar, realising he is surrounded and and without any backup holds up his hands in surrender.

Zimti watches the tide turn on a copper, and lets out an involuntary WHOOP at the sound of the enemies surrendering. He quickly races down to join the group, patting his comrades on the back. "That was amazing! I thought they had the advantage for a moment there."

The shadowy figure joins Jazmine and pats her on the shoulder. "We make a good team, don't you think?" And before Giggles can jump him, the wee man pulls out a stick, nicely chewed from the dinosaur's prior play. "Want to play fetch?"

With a sly grin at the waking Grigori, Zimti flashes a smile at Jazmine and leaves the rest of the party to the interrogations as he goes to play with Giggles.

"Yes mistress," Grigori blurts out as he returns to consciousness with a smile. Seeing Jazmine frowning at him, "Ah my dear! I had a most vwonderful dream... may I share it vwith you?" Memory of the battle returning to him, he grows more stern, "Ah but let us return to the business at hand first."

To Darius, "Indeed, I thought that vwas vwhat you were doing up there, vwhile I vwas actually doing something productive." Spotting the bloody greatsword, "I see you have actually done something useful, however. Perhaps there is some hope for you yet, boy." The priest seems to indicate disbelief in his last statement, given the tone in which he speaks it.

Approaching the last man standing, the priest adds to Jazmine's query, "Yes, tell us vwhat happened at the Blood Ram tribe village to turn Hjort mad against our prestigious organization vwith such vengeance?"

To Zimti, he smirks at Jazmine while puffing up his chest like a ridiculous peacock, "I had, no doubt. Not with an elvish goddess amidst our ranks!" Announcing this last bit loudly, his arm extends towards Jazmine, as if he were an over-the-top actor on stage presenting his leading lady to an audience.

Then noticing some holes in his attire from axe and blade, the priest remarks more softly to himself, "Uy. This vwill take a few mendings..."

Lazar turns out to be very talkative.

"Hjort... he's insane." the scholar looks at the dead barbarian. "That is, well, he was insane. His village was wiped out by pathfinders. Then he met up with Runa here in Trollheim, and they recruited Gyuri and myself.."

A quick search of the other unconscious bodies turns up some interesting information. Especially on Runa.

It seems Runa may have been a little more than she appeared. Going over coded documents, you eventaully work out that she is a member of the Shadow Lodge. Based up in Whitethone, she arranged for the sacking of Hjorts village in the search for an ancient Linnorm artifact. Disgusing the dead as pathfinders with some captured wayfinders she met up with Hjort and turned his revenge against the pathfinders.

In the meantime Skagni, the scholar you seek, has been sent to Whitethone as 'a potentially valuable slave.'.

It sounds like the job is only half done. That hefty chest is going to have to do some more travelling...
