The healing on Azak did work i misread those rules. However nonlethal will send him back if he hits 0 and loses consciousness. So if he gets to close Ozak should be able to take the damage.

Grigori apologizes to the guard's face, but is secretly turned on by her spiciness.

To Darius, "Do pay attention, comrade Darius. Yes vwe are searching for the man, but his was the burnt down house, remember? Vwe cannot give him the chest until vwe find him, eh?" The priest looks on with compassion for the dwarf still bearing the 100 pound chest on his back.

To the smith, Grigori gives the man a friendly smile and a slight bow, "Ah, just the man I am looking for! Grigori Yefimovich is the name. And I must say, vwhat a fine collection of specimens you do have. I am a connoisseur of fine blades myself. Have a look at this beauty!" Grigori produces his finely crafted shasqua, a slightly curved saber in the northeastern Avistan style, bejeweled at the hilt. After showing him its features and allowing the man to examine its blade, "See, my blade could use a bit of sharpening. Might you perform this service for me? How much, my good man?"

Handing him any requested payment plus a small tip, he continues, "Good sir, perhaps you can help me find a couple of persons I am looking for: one Horjt Fastax and one Runa Vwhite?"

First lets catch Riften up with the main body in terms of saves
Riften tries to stay warm Fort DC16: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24, and looks like a natural, coming from the mountains and all.

Rafarta takes the prisoner off your hands. From the look on her face, it would seem that she has met this man before and thinks of him as something that may be shoveled out of the back of the stable. From the look on his face, he has met her before and would much prefer to be shoveled out the back of a stable.

"He'll cause you no more trouble, rest assured on that account." she says to Jazmine.

The swordsmith seems quite taken with Jazmine, and spends some time showing off various sharp implements he has created over the years. While he does so, Giggles starts to show his reptilian nature by turning blue.

The smith however seems more interested in talking blades to her than about Runa and Hjort. He is still talking however.

A reminder, you will need to actually converse with him to get the information, not just roll a skill check. The skill check is still required, but without some relevant interaction and talking with him about things that interest him, you won't get far with him. If you want you can abandon the swordsmith and move on to other hunting grounds... people that is.

Grigori patiently waits his turn before the previous post takes effect. Another fan of the ladies as well as blades, I see. Heh heh.

"In my home country," Grigori fondly recalls to his comrades while waiting for the smith to finish flirting with Jazmine, "vwe vwould break the vwinter ice of the lake and jump in for a nice refreshing dip!" He seems to be handling the chill well.

Seeing some of his comrades tiring and succumbing to the bitter cold, "Vwe should make for a warm place after this."

Lets definitely find a warm place to recoup after dealing with the smith... Azak is ready to poof out of existence, or whatever happens to eidolons when they freeze to the bone, lol.

Riften seems to relish the cold and be somewhat bemused by the weak low-landers who call this cold

After some time fate: 1d6 ⇒ 6, Zimti manages to get Ludin, for that is the smiths name onto the topic of interest - pubs, and then a bit later onto the other subject of interest.
"“Yeah, I know those two. They approached my friends and me and offered us a ridiculous sum to work for them. No way was I going to work for a washed-up Ulfen warrior and a foreign she-devil from the south. Hjort’s eyes told all the story I needed to know: he wasn’t doing whatever he was doing for profit—he was doing it for revenge. That business has only one path, and it leads straight to Pharasma’s ample bosom. And Runa? Well, she’s a foreigner, ain’t she?

It took a long time to get the information from Ludlin, but luckily much of it was spent indoors, sampling the various inns and alehouses of the market quarter.

The night passes without incident. Before dawn the pathfinder team arises, still cold but at least rested. Only Azak seems still substantially the worse for the cold.

Darius is the last up in the morning, looking slightly the worse for wear but with a very smug expression on his face.

I assume Zimti prepares another endure elements?

Treking around in the freezing cold of Trollheim before dawn shows a surprising amount of traffic on the streets. However it is well after dawn when the Pathfinder team eventually locate Kadlin Helge. She looks extreemly serious.

Oh, and back to fortitude saves again. DC15 as you are mostly all warmed back up. Remember, your choice of know(local) or diplomacy(Gather infomation) - and if you don't include at least some dialogue it won't count!

Can’t say as I remember the name of the place, but when they tried to hire my cousin, they told him to meet them at some hole in the market. You’d best do your poking around there and stop pestering the peaceful folk of Trollheim before they decide to yank your entrails out from your mouth and strangle you with them.

She says this without a grin - it is hard to tell whether she is imagining doing this herself or offering a stern warning.

"A disreptable gnome, Thorngrin Brightbeard, down in the market probably knows more though. He would do anything for a drink. Knows all the places first hand. If anyone can tell you about the various dives down there, he can."

Seeing Azak shivering before they reach the drunken gnome, Grigori offers divine aid. Placing one hand over his heart and another on Azak's shoulder, "May the grace of the Lady keep you comfortable, comrade Azak."

When nobody is looking, he sneaks another mumbled prayer for himself as well...

"I am afraid I have not seen Hue, good sir," Grigori answers the drunk, intending to bring him cheer. "But you look like you could use a good pick me up. As the lovely lady says," he winks at Jazmine, "a drink, on us, for some information, eh?"

Between the drinks bought by Jazmine and the kind works of Grigors, the little gnome is soon puty in your hands.

Hjort and Runa, you say? Yeah, I know ‘em. I drink a beer and punch a guy in the face every night down at the Horned Helm, and they’ve been there for weeks—months maybe. I tell ya, that Hjort can throw a punch, and don’t get Runa started about religion—she’s likely to talk about it long enough it starts a fight and the way she ends fights ain’t fair, ain’t right, and just ain’t normal. Runa is a dark-haired woman from Cheliax, and Hjort is a large brute with red hair, a red beard, and a scar across his left cheek.

Hopefully that felt like a long cold day searching out two people in a frozen northern city!

When he smiles, one might more distinctly make out dark spots under his eyes, as if he hadn't slept enough during the night.

The cold pathfinders make their way to the Horned Helm.

The Horned Helm is a low-slung, two-story building of questionable construction leaning heavily over a shoddy corner of mud and brick in the dankest, filthiest parcel of land in all of the market. It has no windows, as they’ve all been broken and boarded over; its only door looks like a simple plank of wood covered in scratches, burns, and probably blood stains.

Noise, heat, and smoke pour out from under that door and rise to a staggering crescendo of laughter as the door swings lazily open and two bodies are unceremoniously dumped into the rutted, frozen mud streets outside. A battered sign hangs above the door, swinging on two chains, one shorter than the other. It bears the faded image of an Ulfen helm with two ridiculously large horns.

Entering, the group of pathfinders immediately finds the frozen temperatures from outside are replaced with a blazing heat of uncomfortable proportions.

"Stupid weak southerners" calls out the bartender. He is a large man missing his right arm.

"Stupid weak insults!" calls one of the patrons. His next door neighbour replies with "Look, they brought their own pretty boy with them. Whats the matter - Our women too much man for you?"

That one brings the roof down. The atmosphere is loud, and within a minute a small fist fight breaks out in a corner, and shortly another body is tossed out the door.

Actions, and perception checks. It could be a barroom brawl is just what the pathfinder team needs to warm up!

Zimti looks at the bouncer with a crooked smile, before turning to the one armed man. "Now, is that the way you treat visitors? Especially visitors who might either shower this place with money and drinks..." The wee man pulls out a pouch which lands on the table with a resounding thud. "...Or fire?" Followed by a quick mix and a bomb in his hand.

The shadowy man looks at the bartender askance. "How about you let that poor out of place reptile stay in a corner to keep warm, and we'll do the same for everyone else with a round of drinks?"

Diplomacy? Trying for a bit of carrot and sticks here, not sure how it's coming across and if it's even possible in this atmosphere.

Sitting at the bar there is a man who matches the description of Hjort.

To the right of the door, and a bit away from the oppressive heat of the fire, there is a table that is unused.

For a one armed man, the bartender is quick, grabbing the purse and looking inside. "That'll buy you a round."

As for the Skalds song... well it goes down well. They even add a chorus of "..and they come running to our arms." to the end of the verse about woman stealing.

The feeling of potential violence is still thick in the air, like a storm waiting to break, but not quite there yet.

"We hear that you have something against Pathfinders. Your men died quite easily, and the last survivor talked quite a bit before being turned over to the watch. Care to tell us Why your men were waiting for us, and where Rognvald Skagni can be found."

Tasting the northern liquor, Grigori secretly agrees with Darius, thinking it best not to verbalize his thoughts aloud except for the last. Indeed, comrade Darius, they are your kind of people: uncivilized, brutish, lacking entirely in decorum, although... "The vweather is quite charming, I'll grant you."

Vwe should have drawn Hjort out somehow... The priest thinks it best to shadow Jazmine. And not to enjoy watching her from behind this time, but rather because the swift assistance of his sword will likely be needed, he believes... Hjort's letter was uncompromisingly hateful towards Pathfinders, and he probably has friends in this bar that he frequents...

He awaits Hjort's response, with hand slowly reaching for the hilt of his blade. He softly mutters under his breath a brief prayer of guidance from his Lady, and keeps a lookout around the room for signs of trouble...

The temperature inside the Horned Helm is stiflingly hot—nearly 100° F. This is because of two enormous iron furnaces crammed full of coal, wood, and anything else flammable that radiate the scorching fires of Hell themselves. Most of the crowd are sweating excessively, which only adds to the room’s dank stench.

Maybe that is the reason punches are thrown so easily. Or maybe folk just come here for the fun of it.

"I'm not Hjort. Please don't hurt me. Hjort just hired me to.."

At this stage a couple of men stand up. "Hey leave Hjort alone!" says one, advancing on Jazamine. "Southerners for lunch everyone!" says the other.

Suddenly chairs start appearing from everywhere, and an all-out brawl starts in seconds.

Riften says "Enough. I need pure mountain air, not this swil" and vanishes through the door.

Hanud moves towards Zimti with the intention of assisting the hunter. He also keeps an eye on their "fake Hjort" as he moves. He moves and places his shield on his arm, making no other offensive moves before stopping in front of the main door to ensure no additional 'aid' comes after the Pathfinders.

As the pub appears to be dangerous, and the party is in a poor state from cold, before entering, Grigori channelled the power of his god to heal everyone. Apart from Darius.

Darius's friend steps up onto a table and smashes his fist into another mans face. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5, he misses badly, and his former drinking buddy tries to return the compliment.
For the sake of simplicity, these two will fight each other into unconsciousness, it makes the rest of the battle simpler. Figures removed from map

The two thugs on each side of Juniper don't play nice, and draw axes to try and slice her up.

But he easily avoids them.

Another attacks Ozak

The other sails into another crowd of brawling patrons, who take umberage and pummel the man in turn.

Lastly another chair flies towards Zimti.

There are a lot more brawlers in the room, but they are generally focused more on beating up each other than the pathfinders. A reasonable proportion of the patrons have scurried out the door as well.
