PFS 5-08 Battle Map

Hi guys! I figured we could use a thread to talk about character/party makeup/whatever. Aest has already submitted an Inquistor. Any idea what the rest of you want to play?

I want to play Nixie, my undine watersinger bard that hasn't been statted out yet. :)

I have an undine boon for PFS that I earned in July by GMing at a con. I'll try to get it scanned so that you can peer at it for confirmation.

Hello! Checking in; right now I've got two different 1st level characters that I could bring. My Cleric (Ecclesitheurge) Nella, who is truly complete or my Warrior (Dawnflower Dervish) who has crunch done via HeroLab but still needs some fluff. Or I suppose I could make anything really, depending on what we need or want - I'm usually not lacking for basic character ideas, hehe.

I'm going to go with the pregen of Amiri. I don't think my other two character's are well thought out enough to fit on a team and work with the lore, since I was new to the game when I made them (still am kinda)

I convinced another friend to sign up. It's going to be her first tabletop game. :D

I'm going to help her set up a forum alias tomorrow. She's going to make a hunter. I think barbarian/bard/alchemist/hunter is a solid mix. Lady Ladile, I'd say chose whatever character you want to play most.

Alrighty! Depending on when we were hoping to get started, my cleric is under consideration for another virtual table of the Confirmation, but I should know by Monday whether she'll be in or not. If not, I'll play her here. Should she get into that game, I'll play my warrior here, unless I get struck by sudden inspiration and make a different character >.>

Oh hunters are wonderful! I considered hunter, but couldn't come up with a suitably amphibious pet other than crocodile.

I haven't even statted Nixie out yet! I'm going to have to run her through Herolab. I know that she's amphibious and a water singer (because what is cooler than that?) but little else.

Her fluff though is fully realized in my head. I know she's from a poor, tight-knit community of undines in Absalom's Puddles district and that she wants to explore the world and meet other people.

Mechanically, though, I still have to think out her stats. Not having a charisma bonus is going to be weird. I guess as bards go, undines are all wet...

Several questions:

1) Can you set up a game play thread that we can dot and delete in so this can appear in our campaigns?

2) When do you plan to start, approximately?

3) Will you be submitting this game to PFS PBP IV? You can put "private" in the comment field, but this way, you'll be eligible for the convention boons.

Gameplay thread is up. I don't have a start date right now. Has some unexpected things pop up in the last couple of days. I'm thinking a week or two before start. It depends on how everything pans out.

I'm also good with getting started in a few weeks. I still have to write up some fluff for Nimerah and that'll give some of the folks that are new to PbP plenty of time to get their characters ready and such.

On a more somber note, I'm sorry that this week has been so hard for your family Hmm. Sending good thoughts, prayers, etc. your way.

Hey guys I just wanted to give you an update. I've been dealing with some personal stuff and so has one of our players, so the start date has been pushed back (obviously). It's got to be after the 23rd on my end.

More or less. I'll be looking at my character to decide for sure if this is what I want to do, but I've been wanting to try an alchemist for a long time, so probably no changes.

No worries here Feth; I think several of us have been busy with both RL and other games on Paizo lately so I'm pretty sure the later start will work out better in the long run. I hope things get better for you and our other player soon!

As far as characters go, I'll probably stick with Nimerah although I still need to write up a background for her. Thankfully I've got a stretch of several days off from work coming up after tomorrow so I should be able to wrangle something together during that time. If I change my mind, I'll be sure to let you know ASAP though :)

The late start gives me a chance to finish up the two games I'm GMing. Ironbound Schism should finish in the next few days. BTW, that is the game of mine to watch if you want to watch one. The RP has been terrific.

Well, crunch is easy with HeroLab (as you know) and I'm kinda anal about my profiles and formatting so I usually get that done pretty quick! Regarding equipment I actually still have some money left so I may make one or two more purchases; we shall see.

How tongue-in-cheek do we want this game to be? I can be pretty serious or really meta-humor about the characters, depending on what we decide.
