While the captain continues to hold the German by gun point he is examined. Keith can see that the bullet was poorly patched, possibly by the captain himself, the bullet went through and didn't leave any permanent damage. There may be a scar there however. After administering some proper first aid the pain is lessened at the cost of some fresh bandages.
