After sitting down, Ioann stares at his cup of tea. He does not even lift his head when Kendra speaks to him.
Can't, can't tell her... but what should I say? Lie? he takes a quick look at her no, no! She is a friend, I cannot do this to her... nor can I tell the truth. He sights before lifting his head to look at her. Staring at his childhood friend, Ioann lets get of his preoccupations for a moment.
"I cannot tell you, and please do not ask. But, I can say one thing: spending time here, as I used to, truly is a boon. Please, indulge me, and simply have tea with me, just like we used to."
Ioann smiles faintly, and takes a sip from his cup.

Ioann nods to Kendra and starts reminiscing about the old days and professor Lorrimor. He brings these things up and discuss them with Kendra, remembering funny anecdotes and things they did together in the past. He seems to enjoy himself quite a lot during this time.
When the tea is gone, she says softly, "Well, I suppose I should leave you to your books again. I hope you find what you're looking for."

We take our leave of the Unfurling Scroll and hunt down...I mean find our companions.

with that, Terrance leaves the Unfurled scroll, and casts about looking for the others.
Ioann smiles to his childhood friend, a sincere smile. After walking the woman to the door, he sits back at his desk and continues reading Feeding Your Hunger.
"Put her body on the bed.

Feeds the stirge, so nice and ripe.
Drops of red so sparkly bright.
Splatters spell her name just right.
With a hammer killed his wife.

Ravel pauses a moment... "Not entirely sure what it means... and apparently the Harrowstone Memorial has been defaced with blood, so we thought we might investigate that as we had back to Lady Lorrimor's to convene with the others. So really that stodgy old breakwind did me a favor. We've learned quite a few things."
That rhyme is Disturbing to say the least. As for checking out the monument, I would say that we at least take a look.
With that, Terrance starts to stroll in the direction of the monument.
Glancing down at Ake, he shoots a grin at the Goblin. "Ah, you would. Cruel songs, short stature, penchant for fire. Yep, fit right in I suspect." He laughs loudly, probably the first time since learning of the Professor's death.
Well, this doesn't look the best. indicating the blood I got a feeling that something bad is happening.

"That would be wonderful Kendra, how was your day?" Ingrid asks taking off her cloak.
"Oh, it was a bearable day I suppose. I stayed in mostly. It just doesn't hold much appeal to be offered either constant condolences or constant looks of pity. That is, of course, except for the few who refused to even meet my eyes out of shame for their deplorable behavior yesterday. I had a nice tea with Ioann, that was the highlight of my day. How about you, how was your day? Did you find what you went looking for?" As Kendra talks she prepares you both a bowl of stew and cuts off thick slices of bread.
Sir Terrance addresses the young man that responded. Are you the only ones that clean the memorial, or are there others?
If so, have they also run into this?
You are right, it couldn't be left a mess, and yes, we did come to pay our respects.

Terrance then looks around.
Having finished reading, Ioann puts the book back in the chest before closing it. Hauling it over his shoulder, he proceeds to exit his room and walks downstairs. There, he briefly nods at the people that have returned to the house and before they can answer Kendra's question, he saks his own:
"Did you find the cache? Did it contain anything interesting?"
Audibly grinding her teeth, Ake remains near the group, although Cuddles snaps her pincers several times and waves her stinger about at her mistresses displeasure.
The frusteration starts to show with Terrance.

"Father Grimburrow was very helpful in our research. It actually yielded quiet a bit. When the others get back we can compare notes and go from there." she says smiling.
"I'm sorry you have to deal with all this. If there's anything I can do to make it easier on you please let me know Kendra."
"Yes, the Pharasmans were most enlightening. Of course I do hope the blood gets cleaned up soon. There was a lot of it."
"Cache, Ioann?"
"Thank you dear, Ingrid. Having you all here is helping so much more than I could ever express to you."
"Blood!? My goodness, has something happened to Father Grimburrow?" Kendra begins to move towards the door. "I must go to him at once."
Gellius looks at Kendra quizzically. "What? Nothing's happened to Father Grimburrow. Where'd you get that from?

"Oh! Nonononononono, the blood was covering the monument to the Harrowstone guards! And it's was only rat blood, it's not like actual people were hurt."
