Terrance Foehammer |
In the morning, Terrance comes down to the common room after preparing his spells for the day.
Good morning all, so are we ready to get the father, and proceed to the stash?
spells prepared [d]magic stone, bless, magic weapon
Ioann Vilescu |
After staying up well past midnight, Ioann went to sleep, carrying the chest containing to books to his rooms. However, being to excited to finally get his hands on the weapons from the cache and possibly exploring Harrowstone, he is mostly unable to sleep and wakes up early in the morning.
As such, when Terrance comes downstairs, he discovers a Ioann that looks more grumpy than usual and who is vaguely staring at a bowl of porridge. Hearing the dwarf's greeting seems to wake the man up a bit who turn his head toward him and motions him to keep his voice down.

Ravel Sigrún |
Ravel wakes, dresses, and enters the room with everyone else, allowing Narcissa to fly about her. "Ioann, have you learned anything new from the tomes? Yes, Terrance, I believe that is the plan for the day. If no one owns a crowbar or sledge, we might need to purchase them before meeting up with Father Grimburrow."

As the revelation sinks in, he looks around in a mild panic. He tries the door, finding it locked. He begins to pound on the door. "Hey! Hey, someone open the door! Hey!"
DM Twilight |
No one hears Orin's yells or banging. Spoilers, please, Orin, while you're in the room.
You feel a scream building up in your throat-and then suddenly, you jolt upright back in your own bed. Everything is as it should be, no bars on the windows... Something drips down and lands on your hand. You look at the red spot before your eyes trail upwards to find that the bloody name remains even in the waking world.
Ake of the Stolen Soul |
Ake baths in the morning and consumes her breakfast with unadulterated abandon and gusto. She takes extra care to not slosh anything on anyone, but might not be successful.
She listens in on the conversation, weighing the words of the others and cataloging them for later.
Hidden stash, extra tools, weapons against the Way, these are good things. We need them. Good will of town, good will of church need these as well. Gibbs, fire...no talk to him...grrr, I don't like him..
Terrance Foehammer |
Wiping some of the breakfast off his shoulder, Terrance looks over.
So we find the father, then see if he is willing to let us find this cashe.
If not, how about we observe the memorial for the next couple of evenings, and see who is vandalizing it.
Either way, it will help build the trust of the townfolk.
Ake of the Stolen Soul |
A single letter, written in blood?
Very probable.
It has meaning to somehow, but that meaning is unclear to us.
What does it mean?
I do not believe it to be a spell. My tribe believes writing steals souls, perhaps this letter has a similar, powerful meaning or use?
Is it a message?
A warning?
Ingrid Van der Geist |
Ingrid takes a bath before going to bed and sleeps well, her training allowing her to shut down her thoughts and relax in even the most tense of circumstances.
Waking and going through her morning ritual, she dresses, heading down to breakfast.
Terrance Foehammer |
I think it is likely that they mean to return. As for what it means, I have no idea.
Ake, spells, would be much more involved than as single letter, and this should not take your soul.
It could be both a warning and a message, who in the history of the town had or has a name starting with a V ?
I guess that means that we are going to have to look further.
Terrance Foehammer |
considering, I watch a lot of criminalistics shows, it just came to me. a case of questioning all suspects i guess.
Ingrid Van der Geist |
"Something to bear in mind is that if it was made by the living it could be a distraction, designed to send anyone looking into things on a goosechase. However it's also possible that whatever did it may not be alive...or of this world." Ingrid says thoughtfully.
Ravel Sigrún |
Ravel rubs her temples. "Yes it is possible that is has something to do with a moniker beginning with V, but we need to focus on other elements before we start what-iffing this situation beyond merit. 'What if it isn't a letter in the common tongue?' 'What if somebody actually decapitated a large two-headed rat on the memorial?' I think we should focus on today's task of retrieving the cache of weapons, or at least looking into where they are supposed to be."
Terrance Foehammer |
I agree Ravel, it could be a number of things. I think we were just laying out all sorts of possibilites.
Now we have a definate, in that we are going to look into the cashe, I think we can focus on that for now.
Thinks about it a bit more.
But if someone does vandalize the monument again, I think it will be up to us to look into it, if the sherrif does not.
Terrance Foehammer |
Terrance chuckles.
I think that anyone beheading 2 headed rats on the monument, falls under the heading of odd, and still disrespecting whomever the monument is made for.
Terrance then looks over
Lady Kendra, who exactly was that memorial made for?
Gellius Dandrae |
No explosions this morning, although those with decent ears might hear a faint "DAMMIT". When he comes down, you can see that his fingers have all been dyed pink.
Gellius enters the room, completely ignoring whatever the rest of the group was talking about. *YAWN* "So, you all ready to go check out some Pharasman weapon stash? Imagine if there was undead down there - that would be funny."
Terrance Foehammer |
Thank you lady Kendra
Funny, I think not, the walking dead are the ones that gave me these scars. Indicating his facial scars.
Ioann Vilescu |
*loud sight*
Funny undead... come on! Who would think that. Chasing people who draw blood from rats.. bah, time lost.
*another loud sight* after which Ioann speaks:
"I say weapon's cache first. Then, we can explore the ruins of Harrowstone. We must see whether someone has set foot there recently. Professor Lorrimor did seem to think it was an important location."
BTW I also get the impression V represents someone from the towns history... just a gut feeling.
Gellius Dandrae |
Gellius turns to Terrance with a confused look on his face.
"I've been meaning to ask you - how do you still have scars on your face? That should be something that healing magic can take care of easily! I mean, I've had plenty of cuts and scratches, but nothing that magic hasn't taken care of easily."
Terrance Foehammer |
At the time I got them, we were more worried about remaining alive. it was a pack of ghouls that attacked us, and the only ones that were not paralyzed were those that magic did not come to.
So these scars are from the natural healing, and I have had no reason to remove them as they provide a reminder on the dangers of the world.
Ravel Sigrún |
"Ioann makes a good point. Harrowstone seemed to take up a lot of the Professor's research and it's time we see more than just a memorial. Let us gather Father Grimburrow and make haste to the supposed secret space. Gellius if there are the living dead therein, mayhaps they are undead-fighting undead..." Ravel smiles and turns to Terrance and Ingrid, "That's a thing, right?"
Terrance Foehammer |
Ah Ravel Terrance grins as he shakes his head I wish that were the case, it would make our lives so much easier.
I would love to advance time, but we still haven't been given the go ahead by GM Twilight
Gellius Dandrae |
"Ohhhhhhhh. Well if you choose to leave them there that makes sense. I mean, I don't think I could stand that, but to each his own I guess."
Gellius looks excited upon Ravel suggesting undead fighting undead, but then looks disappointed when Terrance shakes his head.
Ingrid Van der Geist |
"Not usually, except in rare cases of intelligent undead trying to outmanover each other for power. In most cases they are united in thier hatred of all things living." Ingrid responds.
Terrance Foehammer |
I think we have all had those horrible neighbours.
Terrance Foehammer |
Terrance lifts a hand in indication of a hit.
I guess most of us had those neighbours he says with a grin.
Orin Gabor |
Sorry, I explained in Discussion. Really, I'm sorry!
