Nightflier's Midnight Game Thread

Game Master nightflier

For now, I just need a basic concept and your description. Everything else you may take it slowly.

endurance/con based archer using weapon bond

also looking at taking bodyguard and in harms way and staying close to the mages so i can take hits for them

as for background its on this profile gonna add more detail in a bit

Icewood bows are very rare indeed and you would need a really good story in order to explain how you got one. Essentially, they are composite long bows.

You don't have to hurry with your character. I just need basic stuff now - Erenlander bowman is enough - and the description of your character. You will begin the game without any equipment except your clothes and probably one other item that has certain magical properties. I will decide on that item depending on your backstory. I need to find you a power source that will work as white bone items, but be separate. Anang has his inner demon. You could have made a pact with fay or celestials or something. We'll see.

DH, Nightflyer already answered that question (the second time you asked it)

Those that were already 3rd level got 1000 XP. Those who were 2nd level got around 1600 XP. Slightly less. And Chops gets a bonus.

DH its awesome its and archer with hot arrow on arrow action (ranged defense). Like I said the only thing I could see that I would like diffrent is the ability to shoot in melee. And please rename deadly aim there's a feat by that name and I will ethier confuse my self or some one else, please I beg of you take this weapon of mass confusion away from me. ;)

You know what's funny, I had a strangely similar sub-plot in my own Midnight campaign. As a GM, I approve. As a player, I am terrified.

Also, apparently the part of Gillian today will be played by a blond girl with wooden sticks growing out of her head...

Among the Caransil the prestigious titles I can think of are Eyes of Aradil, Avatars, Gardeners of Erathor, Whisper Adepts and Councilors. Among the Erunsil titles include Blood (warleader), Snow (lorekeeper), Tree (spiritual leader), Snow Witch and Dire Blade. Miransil use nautical terms, so Captain, etc. I don't remember anything for the Danisil.

If you were trained by elves, they're probably going to be Caransil or Erunsil. If you're carrying around an Icewood bow, you probably got it from the Erunsil, so I'd say the rank you're looking for is Blood.

Nightflier out to get everyones permission publish it as a novel and split the proceeds. Then you guys could see about graphic novelization and movie deals.

The guy who was playing Lanik is one of the best artists I know. If you go to AtS and look in the games and stories section his Midnight Comic is stickied at the top of the list. It's the beginning of the game I ran that he was in.

He's kind of particular about games. I talked to him a bit, and he really never felt like his characters were given the kind of respect and gravity that the others were. I think he kind of had a chip on his shoulder about the fact that Anvinder was killed while he was out of town to an enemy no one could see (the shadow cat) and no rolls for attack or damage were made. At least that's what he told me. I haven't gone back and checked to see if that's an accurate assessment.

I think he jsut came into the game, both times, during events that we were trying to speed through and we bypassed a few of his attempts to establish character relations. In most of the game's down time he's been either not introduced yet, or dead. Just bad luck I guess.

I hope he reconsiders his decision, but I do understand why he did drop out. It was a tough situation to be stuck in.

BTW, Solvi's response sounds rather cold, but she was thinking of Zafina's betrayal, and wondering whether he would follow down the same path.

Okay couple questions do the humans among us get the pathfinder extra +2 to one stats and for erenlander do I still get +8sp at first or are we getting the pfrpg +2?? Also we still count favored class bonuses right?? Trying to finish up so I can get this sucker posted.

Weapon Bond actually makes him one of the highest damage dealers in the group. (+10 base damage bonus, plus deadly aim for another 2, his arrows hit like trucks)

As Erenlander you do not have to apply -2.

Problem is that icewood bows allow maximum of +6 Strength bonus to damage.

The path is great. I'm not so sure about ricochet though.

If he does reconsider, he would have to wait out till someone leaves the game. When he did not reply to me asking him to stay, I assumed that he is permanently out of the game and so I let DS take his place, based on approval of other players.

Ragnar, I have decided to give further awards for Chronicle posts. Since you use Muni as voice, I'm gonna give Fate Points to the raven as well. He gains number of FPs equal to the number of posts in the Chronicle.

Ilona, your 3rd level white bone power: Battlecry (Ex): As a standard action, you can unleash an inspiring battlecry. All allies within 100 feet who hear your cry gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws for a number of rounds equal to your Charisma modifier. At 10th level, this bonus increases to +2. You can use this ability once per day, plus one additional time per day at 5th level and for every five levels thereafter.

Edit: Ilona, I just realized that I am not that sure in which direction you want to take your character. I know that you want to go with Arcane Warrior, but I don't know which spells will you take. This ability is essentially a buff and I don't know if you want to do that. So, I'm gonna wait till I hear from you and then, if you want, decide on some other power, depending on what you want your party role to be.

Gilian, your 3rd level power is called Heal from the Blood. You gain Brew Potion as bonus feat and Craft(alchemy) is class skill for you. If you already have that skill, you gain +4 bonus to it. All healing potions that you make are more potent than normal. With a drop of your blood added to them, they heal additional number of points equal to the modifier of your spellcasting ability at the time of potion creation.

Chops, as your 3rd level item power you gain Thick Skull as bonus feat. It is from Midnight 2nd Ed.

Sorok, you haven't updated your character yet. At this point you may decide to change even your Heroic Path if you wish it so. I presume that you will take another level of dwarf paragon and then go with the channeler to become moon priest?

Yay more sp thank you nightflier and with the other thing my cha isn't a dump any more. So I will try to get a lot of it posted today however since I am sitting with my grandfather I have to use the berry so it might take a bit.

When I introduce you into the game, you will have no equipment and your bow would probably be destroyed. So, it would probably be better that elvish gift consists of some form of knowledge - perhaps bonus feat that you are entitled to because of your detailed background.

Chops, ability gained from Pete's item: Muscles of Iron: you apply your Strength modifier to your AC as long as you do not wear any kind of armor.

Eirik, you will not get white bone item. That part of the story is closed. No new player gets white bone. I will find a way to make your character more powerful, to the level of others, but it will not be via covenant items.

Now, to be more specific - you will be introduced to the game without any equipment, armor or weapons. Nothing except your clothes. You are prisoner. And you do not have anything. While the game progresses, I will make that up to you in other ways. Same goes for High Duke's character.

I like battle cry, runs with the Valkry-esque theme and part of Ilona's deal is making everyone better just by being there.

Yeah, it fits thematically, but it seems less powerful than what other PCs got. I will make it up to you on the next level.

Was jus making suggestion boss sorry my necklace isn't bone its the fire ruined blackend heads of the thirty arrows he shot into the giant. Thought it would ne fitting again sorry
