OK. Let's move the game along. How about some of us go to see about procuring passage via ship to Riddleport. If Cypher magic is involved, and a Wyvern was used to transport the prisoner, we really don't have many other options.

Rauvdra Waerrar |

Just a question about the squad formation. How long has it been since all the members have been together, and how long ago the first 2 members came together.
I trying to see how much information the others would know about her so I can add it to her background.
Being of drow decent, I sure she will not go unnoticed in the city, considering there is the small Shadow Company containing purely of the drow doing unknown missions. Occasionally seen working with the Black Company on certain missions. I sure many, including members of the Black and Shadow Companies, would be wondering why a drow (not knowing she is not a drow but a ssapshalee) is with this Black Company squad.
We know that Ǽmon is observing Rauvdra as a precaution, as she studies everyone to learn about the people of her ancient home.
I guessing this Black Company squad is the most unusual composed squad in the Black Company. Strange races that are not normally seen, or working on this side of the good-evil divide.

Just a quick question: Was Graelem appointed Second or did Amira get the position?

Amelisce |

Quick heads-up that I'm leaving for a family vacation to Ireland tomorrow and will be gone through the end of the month. I'm still planning to post and will do my best not to miss any days, but if I do, go ahead and either put Amelisce on hold or run her as needed.

Agreed with the others. Take care of yourself Nightflier, Diabetes is no joke.

Amira Oenestria |

Hey all, just spent 48 hrs dealing with being hacked, getting rid of intrusions, re-securing home network and changing every password, reissuing credit cards etc. Should be back up to speed tomorrow.

Do you have any thoughts about where we go from here? Someone certainly didn't want us snooping around the inn, so we need to come back in there, but at this point it might mean another fight.
Nightflier, is there a city guard that is separated from the two companies and you still haven't answered my question about our standing and what we have authority to do within the city.

From what Karak saw in the Inn, it should be safe coming in. Maybe the commotion is just due to the fight outside. Karak would be for getting in.

Weird. I thought I did.
Well, Black Company has no official authority inside the walls. It functions as purely military force. The Crimson Company is effectively a police force. But, this tends to be theoretical distinction only. In practice, Black Company can act with full authority inside the walls, but they need to explain their actions later. Of course, your squad is provisional only, so you would have to find the exact measure of your authority by yourself.

He guys. I think I am going to have to withdraw from this game. With the slow pace, I am having trouble staying invested, and the military set up hasn't thus far really seemed to facilitate much roleplaying and character growth for me. Rather to continue to contribute a lackluster performance, I think I will drop out instead. Thank you very much for having me. Nightflyer, if you ever start up a Midnight game again, I would be interested in joining up with that. Best of luck everyone.

Hi, guys. Back from the dead here.
My internet problems seem to be finally at an end. I can now access Paizo in a regular manner. The site loads just fine and I have accessed it a number of times during these last few days.
I don't want to assume that the situation will last, though, so I'm gonna give it another couple of weeks to make sure that my connection is stable and that there will be no more interruptions to whatever game I decide to run or play in here.
I think that I will not continue with this game here. Much time has passed and I think that it would be difficult to everyone involved to get back in the saddle, so to speak.
While I was offline, I used the time to work on my Midnight project. My goal was to create a codified set of rules that will be used in my Midnight games, as well as my homebrew setting. So, far I've completed Traits and Flaws section and Races section (Dwarves - Clan, Kurgun and Odrud; Elves - Caransil, Danisil, Erunsil; Gnomes; Halflings; Humans - Erenlanders, Dorns, Sarcosans; Halfbloods - Dworgs, Elorg). Classes section is nearly completed. The Rogue class remains to be adapted and the finished classes are: Channeler (Charismatic, Hermetic, Naturalist, Spiritual), Defended, Fighter (with Berserker warior's way, as a replacement for Barbarian class)and Wildlander.
AS I've said, the Rogue remains to be adapted, and then I'll take on the feats. Most feats will be 3.5 and standard PF feats. In my Rules Document I will include only feats that are changed from standard, Midnight-specific feats or completely new feats.
OK, that's about it. If any of you wish to see the rules as they are currently, I will post the link in my profile.
I am very much glad to be back.
