Well I told you it was a surprise round for both of you, and you didn't act for a couple of days. And I do have the "Initiative Order" spoiler.


I missed the surprise round thing and was expecting everyone else to act. I mean, keep tracking without actually going back searching for an specific post, like putting it into the campaing mini info (the one with "You've proven yourselves....").


Do the guy that do a lot of damag to korak used sneak attack?

Yar, with the UCamp training rules.

I also have a general houserule/policy that you can, for free, instantly retrain any ability you've never used before (but it's locked forever in that case). I've been in a situation where I've picked a Feat, or Rogue Talent type thing that sounded cool before, but never actually had the opportunity to use it, and that's always disappointing.

In that case it is very likely that I will change arcane bond (Ring) for Arcane bond (familiar)

I'm worried about the party having a single character who is capable in melee... Chimmon has good defenses, but he doesn't have enough damage.

Any word from Byrdd? Maybe we should look for a 4th player?

I thought Byrd would be coming back fairly quickly, but it appears that may not be the case. Why don't you ask Scavion if he wants to make up a beatstick?

Maybe he can use that "Majin Bone" thing he was talking about.

It's not really damage that's the problem (though that's part of it), it's the fact that only Korak is getting pounded on.

You need someone who can TAKE the damage, not just dish it out.

Well... I plan on eventually grabbing the Summoner's Summon Monster (Or Summon Nature' Ally) SLA at higher levels, so that Korak ha more versatility at higher levels, because if by 11th level, all I can do is punch people, I'll be bored out of my mind.

And it also fits with his Animalistic Monk/Druid/Barbarian theme. :P

Question: What's the situation of Slow Fall? Do I get it as part of the "Monk Training Package"? Is it a separate ability?

Also, since Divine Grace is so powerful, wouldn't it be a good idea to reduce the price of 3 good saves to 5pts instead of 6?

Ah, no, I found it. Had it listed as a Secondary ability. Moved it to Tertiary.

Careful! SUDDEN Dragons are the most dangerous dragons... Especially if they are also Ghosts and part of the Spanish Inquisition.

So... Looking back, 3 good saves really should cost 5pts. A Bard with Cha 16 has the same Fort save as Korak. In fact, Jo has the same Fort save as RAGING Korak.

It's hard to justify getting 3 good saves when you can get Divine Grace/Unholy Resilience for half the price. I got them because it feels more "Monk-ish", but for a mechanical perspective, it doesn't really hold up.

(Also, technically, Divine Grace and Unholy Resiliency stack with each other, giving anyone uber saves for 6pts, so you might want to check that).

I suppose another possible "solution" would be to restrict Divine Grace/Unholy Resilience to characters who already have 2 or more good saves, but that feels restrictive and goes against the spirit of FFCS, IMHO.
