After managing to spend a day at PaizoConUK on Saturday, I have it in my head to run some society games.... I have the entire of season 6 thanks to the humble bundle ready to download...
I remember a few of us did this a few years ago, and it worked quite well? Anyone interested? When I get back from my week away next week....

Ok, this encounter is not going so well for Eljoy. I didn't expect to have one character go beyond range of others easily being able to assist, and it is not helped by good GM rolls and poor PC rolls. As I don't, as a rule, like killing off characters via random encounters, I would suggest that everyone needs to focus their efforts on assisting Eljoy, and/or killing or scaring off the snake!

I'm looking at kicking off a Pathfinder Society PbP. Some of us have done this in the past and the short society modules work quite well for PbP as they are quite short so go pretty quick.
I'm looking for willing victims^w participants to play. I have the list of scenarios I own below, and I'm signing up to the society module subscrition, so I'll have all of season 8 as they release to play with too....
I think trying to run through season 6 as much as possible, sticking other stuff in is may favored option. Although that quest (a set of 6 modules starting at L1) looks quite interestng too.
Anyone interested please PM me, so we don't totally threadjack these discussions!

It is Census night here in Australia - it is compulsory to take part (fines apply if you don't), and in their wisdom the Australian Bureau of Statistics has decided to make the Census online for the first time this year, rather than a paper form as per previous years (I think we do it every 4 years).
Hmmm, didn't think that through, did they? Most of Australia (theoretically) trying to get on their website at the same time? Maybe they should have checked with the government department who is responsible for rolling out the National Broadband Network (and screwing it up).
I have been trying for the past hour and keep getting timed out, or an error screen which tells me to 'try again in 15 minutes'. Their help line has a recorded message which says there is a 'high volume of calls. Please call back on the 10th of August' (ie, tomorrow AFTER census night). At least they add that you won't be fined if you are unable to complete the census tonight.
Seriously, what did they think was going to happen?

Yeah, I predict more than a few sarcastic Census responses. This will no doubt be as good as the time two or three census' ago when a significant portion of the country listed 'Jedi' as their religion.
People are already pissed this time around, as the ABS has decided to keep people's personal information linked to their Census responses for longer than previously (so the govt can data mine it of course), and because you have to request a special (online) form ahead of time if you want to declare your gender as something other than 'male' or 'female' (or either of those if it wasn't the gender you were born with I think). Way to not marginalise people.

I apologize for any delays on my part. I am off this week, so will be limited in how often I can spend time on the computer.
The next three weeks I am on a work schedule non-conducive to steady posting, so I will try to post when I can (could be as bad as once a week), but my player posts will be likely more frequent than my GM posts based on the amount of time each one takes.

There's a little bit of small sized treasure in the later part of this adventure - nothing much in this early part I'm afraid. The next adventure has a bit more!
Oh, I'm not concerned. Just needed to answer so you knew I had looked and was intentionally quiet. "This page left intentionally blank." sort of thing.

Hi all, I'm doing a sponsored walk round 13 of the bridges over the River Thames in London on the 9th of October. If you would like to sponsor me, the link is here. Many thanks for your generosity (and may worms coil in the privy parts of those who fail to sponsor me).

I have embarked on my annual autumn excursion to Someplace Else(TM) and so my availability and access may not be what they generally are. It looks like I should be able to post in the evenings, but can make no guarantees, so please feel free to bot Jasper as necessary.
I should be able to resume normal activity after the 17th.

So far, so good - 10 hours of drive time/mealtime/stretch the legs time and we found our little rental without getting lost. And it's tucked away in a pretty out-of-the-way corner of a pretty out-of-the-way little town.
Today, we walk the town and let our bodies acclimate to the altitude. It's about 5000' elevation higher than we are used to. (I'm supposed to be putting this away, not posting, shhh.)

The awarding of xp from the cauldron reminds me - I think I am missing some. Did we get any for the hobgoblin? The pit trap? The enormous snake we avoided on the trail? The apparent fey incident in the night?

Please visit his website www.martinrodoreda.com if you are interested in checking it out or ordering a copy.
