The other floors of the goblin are now furnished. Most of the quirks in the plot are now worked out in my notebook. Turning my attentions to re-balancing encounters and working up some custom stuff now. Look for a little more life in the Riddleport maps as well, coming to a campaign site near you.
*rubs hands together as expression turns to evil grin*
The pace should start to pick up now a little (I hope). Our hotel will hopefully have high-speed, so I should be able to post in the evenings next week. We'll see...

Yes, that's been part of the slowness of late. I had to read the new stuff in regards to their spellcasting and make sure nothing changed. I have her character sheet and will probably go through the conversion stuff and see if any details changed tonight.
DM Luke |
You definitely do benefit from your bless spell. I didn't answer in thread at the time because I thought Isegrim covered it with his reply. See about 25% down the thread on this page.
DM Luke |
OK I see what happened. I was alluding to your awesome roll with the 20, and the minimum you needed for the confirm with the 15 - not your actual totals. Sorry to have confused. I think we're straight.
DM Luke |
The silence on our end is on account of Pam being away with her sister this weekend (Virginia). I'm assuming we can move on, but I didn't want to leave her too far in the dust. I'll be moving us on to the following evening with my post later tonight.
DM Luke |
Obviously still a work in progress, but this is what I'm working on for the town map. Stay tuned for updates. The zoomed-in version is way better :)
DM Luke |
Thanks. I'm a little puzzled at why the white outlines showed up when I converted the uploaded image to png, but the master doesn't have them, so I should be able to find a way of generating the final pngs without them. Probably just a trick of the resizing I did.

Some funny things can happen with png since it preserves transparency. If there's not a specific reason you need to use png, see if saving as a jpeg has the same problem.
DM Luke |
Thanks. I don't know the answer to your question about the current battlemap. What browser are you using? I'll replace it with a jpg snapshot of the map on the next update. Hopefully that fixes it.
Isegrim |
I just changed it so that the site landing page is the current battlemap. Luke, if you ever want to change that yourself it's under the More Actions button at top right, then Manage Site. From there click on General under the Site Settings section on the left and look for Landing Page.

Map is excellent Luke.
Nice rolls Mike aka Ghostfacekilla.
Great to be rolling again everyone. Just passed my CCNA 1 final an hour ago. One down, three to go. Dos whiskey shots already? Too much? Naw..
Fried deer, bros and tall tales tomorrow night.
Damn, make that 3 down.
Merry weekend to all -AB
lol yeah those rolls surprised the hell out of me. Wasn't planning on slicing the guy in half.
Congrats on the test! And.. never too much whiskey :)
DM Luke |
Participation is pretty light right now. Can I get a roll call from the players - just want to see how we're doing here. I know Melissa and Chris had over-full weekends.
Pamela |
I was going to do that stupid 'roll call' cheer-leading thing....then I remembered I was NEVER a cheer leader. You know what's up with me, life happens and then you go to bed. I, Pamela, do solemnly swear, to do a better job keeping up with the post....
On another note, for youse that don't live with me, I'm trying to put together another 'chapter' from the post. This one is the first combat and I'm finding it difficult to reconstruct in a meaningful way, but I'll keep at it.

Hey all. Killing time before going to the zoo for my 71 year old mothers B-day. Wheee..
Congratulations on Tebow being drafted 1st round. In yo' face Colt McCoy. It will be interesting to see how grown teammates respond to his motivational style. He could do well in Denver.
Suh has been elevated to legend status around here in one week. When he announced his $2.6 million donation during our Spring game last Saturday the stadium was rocking. I hope he kills it as a rookie.
So I guess I am a Lions fan. They should have a running game now with Jahvid Best. They picked up another Husker for four years in Kyle Vanden Bosch and this video has me thinking differently about Matt Stafford.
There is a quiet confidence around the 'skers program right now. So nice to be in the national conversation again. Amazing what Pelini & Co. have done in less than three years. A spot in a BCS bowl game is ours to lose this season.

Ah ok :) Then just one week of misery.
DM Luke |
As big a fan as I was of Tim in college, I think he's doomed in the pros. The first time they let him drop back and pass, he's gonna hold the ball too long and get killed. I think he'll be fine as long as he's the dude doing the hitting, but when one of those blitzing nfl safeties hits him standing up because he's locked on to his favorite receiver and the guy's not coming open...
You want to stay away from the Lions if at all possible boomer. That's the road of unrequited love right there. Like following the Bucs when Culverhouse was running the show.
My fins didn't really do much in the draft itself, though I did watch just for the drama of McCoy. Somebody took a lineman from Hillsdale college before Colt McCoy. Hillsdale college! I know he got hurt and didn't play versus Bama, but Bradford missed the whole season and he went #1 overall. I have a feeling there were some miscalculations there, but only time will tell.
I wish some of the guys I cheered for in college would play for teams I actually like in the pros. There are like 20 gators on the Patriots roster these days. Frickin yuck! (Here's looking at you Missy) 8)
DM Luke |
Oh man, the maps look awesome! More than happy to do any imagemap work if you want me to
Thanks Isegrim. I'm still committed to finishing that project, complete with links to store inventories and such - like before the adventure leaves town. Luckily you guys are still too poor to afford anything :)
It's probably going to happen when Pam and the kids go to Virginia in June. It doesn't really take me that long once I get on a roll. There's sooo much incredible art freely available on the web to work with.
DM Luke |
Isegrim, if the offer still stands, I'm sending you the stats on your party members so you can complete the personal pages at the site. Also, I'm going to have a bunch of shop names for inventory pages to post and would love some of those spiffy headers you've done for other pages on the site.
Better late than never I suppose.

Just passed CCNA2 two hours ago. Couple of pud finals left next week. Listening to Rare Earth's "I Just Want to Celebrate", having a beer and a shot. Life is good. One quarter left, then FREEDOM!!
I'm off from school starting June 10th through July 13th. I will be on the road for most of it, but will only be w/o internet access from 6/11 to 6/13 (fishing). If I am holding up anything non-life threatening during those days, Isegrim/Mike can act on my behalf.
DM Luke |
Congrats. Chris just passed a monster exam down in Tampa for some kind of network design and admin, didn't you?
Pam and I have been without kids this entire week and I've been off since Thursday so there's lots of chillin and non-PG activities happening around here. Carpe diem n's$~~.
DM Luke |
Anyone else having an issue getting to the campaign site? Chris, can you try again? I didn't get any notifications of issues, nor did I have a problem viewing the site.
I'll move us along tomorrow. I'm bushwacked this evening.

Opens right up for me without any issues

Putting this here for now, though I may setup a better place on the campaign site after I look into the widgets available. The shop price list concept is not bad.
This does not include any cash you might have carried into the game from your backgrounds that was not spent on initial equipment.

I looked at the wrong loot post earlier and thought we had less than we did. Assuming Rees pays for her own at 150 each, we can still buy two more at 300 each. Updated list.

I'll give the other wand a shot. I happen to enjoy the "wave it around and see what it does" method. I roll a 10 + 6 for use magic device. Everybody duck and cover.
I'm also laying claim to the masterwork dagger, the dagger +1, the masterwork thieves tools, the disguise kit, the mirror, and a thunderstone. I'll also take Beltias's receipts and the moneylender's ledger.
Anyone else? There's a great ceramic dalmation, for $300...
