Very sorry to keep y'all waiting. I was out of town dropping the kiddo off for a couple of weeks at the grandparents. Long drive and stayed overnight. I figured I'd get a chance to do some posting during that time, but I was wrong.

So a question for you all. Level 6 is the one where Emi will get her first Slayer Talent. I'm now going to have to start thinking long term about her progression since talents are an opportunity to get no-prerequisite feats off the Ranger Styles. It's time Emi expanded beyond plain old beatdown.

I've narrowed the choices down to 3 that I think fit her personality and play style well, and I'd like to see what anyone wants to forward an opinion about which to choose.

1. The Jaguar's Grace Talent would let her do nonlethal damage without an attack penalty. If she takes the Enforcer feat at 7th level she could use Intimidate for debuffing. She could later follow the Menacing Ranger Style and get really good at making people pee themselves. Scary Emi.

2. Taking the Underhanded Combat Style would get her Improved Dirty Trick this level. Dirty Trick can hand out some very nasty conditions, Blinded, deafened, etc. It's probably the best of the combat maneuver feat chains because it stays usable into higher levels than the others. Nasty Emi.

3. Emi could go lateral rather than using the talent for combat. One of Those Faces would give Emi Disguise Self as an SLA for 10 minutes per level a day. Could be neat for recon and infiltration. On the other hand, a Hat of Disguise is cheap, does the same thing, and can be passed around. On the other other hand we're still not exactly rich, and I'm sure there are lots of things that rate higher for spending. One of Those Faces is free. Sneaky Emi.

Does anyone think one or two of these stand out as very good or very bad choices compared to the others?

I like the idea of Sneaky Emi--at least in the near future--for two reasons. First, as things stand, Regeris is pretty much our only sneak-type PC; having a partner to back him up in such instances would be ideal. Also, when we try to raid Artists' Overground to nab Jolistina, I think stealth will be more important than brute force.

Scary Emi also has its appeals. We've established that Field Marshal Kroft will take and lock away any prisoners we take. Since we kinda suck at tracking down clues, maybe being able to interrogate prisoners after a fight will get us clearer information sooner.

***********************

My borrowed internet hotspot is due back at the library on Wednesday (7/22), so I'll likely be offline for a while. I have an application in for assisted-rate internet service, but processing it takes 2-3 or 7-10 business days (depending upon which web site page I checked), plus however long it takes the provider to ship me the required equipment. If things drag out (say beyond 2 weeks), I'll find some way of hopping online and informing folks of my status.

If Nebbin will still be so kind as to run Kayleigh during my absence, I'd appreciate it greatly.

*************************

We should probably divvy up the treasures we've gained. We now have a total of 4 cloaks of resistance +1 and 4 rings of protection +1; maybe it would be easiest to decide who doesn't get one than 4 folks who do.

There also appears to be a few items from our previous haul (the slippers and scrolls) that no one has claimed. I'll also point out that the +2 dagger and +1 rapier claimed from the cultists will be useful during our underwater visit to the plague ship.

I'm guessing the arcane spell scrolls will go to me. I'm the only one who can make use of them at the moment.

@Emi - my instincts say go with the disguise because that's jsut cool and fits our overall vibe. That said dirty tricks are fun and I don't see them enough.

HP 92, +13 CMB, CMD 26, +2 Init, +9 Perception, AC 20/13T/17FF (-2 when raging), +10 Fort, +6 Ref, +3/+5 Will Human barbarian 8

I'd also suggest disguise, since I think we've been using that more than combat.

I also think dirty trick has the big problem of not being able to sub for an attack. I got it with my brawler, since it fit the concept, but I've used trip far more often. I can make that part of my attack routine instead of having to do dirty trick and letting them just use an action to clear the status (which I also think they can do, based on my read of the combat maneuver).

--

I can probably play Kayleigh, but if someone else wants to do it, please don't hesitate. I'm expecting a new assignment to come in this week and expect that will take some of my attention for a few weeks until it's done.

I know I still need to level up Nebbin. Trying to decide if I want to stick with barbarian or if I should consider maybe (urban) ranger, as he's starting to get more skilled and that'd give him some more skills to play with. (He's got a full combat array for his statistics, so I don't think too many of the caster classes would work for him.)

Thanks for the input everyone! Yeah, I'll go with One of Those Faces.

It moves Emi back toward her early roots in the game as more of a Jack of all trades. It will also probably be most immediately useful choice. Especially because it's the only option that works right out of the box.

I've never messed around with any combat maneuvers before so I don't know what to think of them from personal experience. Opinion generally seems to be they're not very good past mid-levels and they do eat up lots of feats.

I might still take one of them up in another couple of levels, but probably intimidation. It didn't occur to be before I'd posted but Shatter Defenses pairs very nicely with Emi's sneak attack. Round 1: slap them with the flat of the blade to do nonlethal, demoralize them, and make them flat-footed. Round 2: Full attack with sneak attack added.

Emi would only really be using intimidate in combat though. Outside of combat there's no way she could come close to competing with Regeris. He's the interrogator.

There is one slight complication though. Slayers need to have one of this random set of traits to qualify for the One of Those Faces Talent. Luke, would you mind waiving the requirement? It's silly. Full text copied in below.

One of Those Faces (Sp) (Spymaster's Handbook pg. 21): Investigators and slayers can also select this talent if they have the Brute, Failed Apprentice, Militia Veteran, Rapscallion, River Rat, Vagabond Child, or Well-Informed trait from Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide, or Narrows Survivor or Wealthy Dabbler trait from Pathfinder Player Companion: Taldor, Echoes of Glory.

HP 92, +13 CMB, CMD 26, +2 Init, +9 Perception, AC 20/13T/17FF (-2 when raging), +10 Fort, +6 Ref, +3/+5 Will Human barbarian 8

I'm not an expert in combat maneuvers, but I think the non-attack ones definitely are more limited at higher levels, because it means you need to use a standard action instead of multiple attacks. I'm loving my tripping brawler in Ironfang Invasion, but that's got lots of land-based opponents, so it's coming in useful, especially as I've got a trip-then-kick-them-in-the-ribs-while-they're-on-the-ground vibe going on.

I took grapple with Nebbin just because it felt like it fit (and I'm not really planning him out as much as I might with other characters), but I haven't used it that much.

Tale of Days Current Battlemap City Map

@rdknight, I'm happy to waive that requirement.

The feeling is mutual. I updated Kayleigh's spells this morning, so she's all set for Nebbin to guide for the next little bit.

OK, speaking of research, Kayleigh's alter-ego (Shirleigh Holmes) compiled the following during our Christmas/New Years hiatus. It doesn't have any new references from this year, but I went through and bolded stuff I thought was interesting and added a few questions in italics. I copied several posts regarding the death at Helvara's place, which I've put inside a spoiler.

It looks like I also made a list of some of the things Anpujit has said at the end of the compilation, and there's a link to one of Kayleigh's earlier posts that I haven't looked at yet.

*************************************

Spoiler:

As soon as it's clear that Emi's done talking, fifty conversations start at once on the pier and on the decks of the other vessels. Only Helvara starts immediately over the gangway to the Eel to treat with Tassira and Emi.

Someone in the direction of the Tiger's Tail shouts, "Oh, at least let me buy the shiver! Don't just throw it away!" There's general laughter, but also a pause to hear Emileva or Tassira's reply.

Helvara grabs Tassira's hand and leads her away from the rail. {Who’s the speaker?}

************************************

"That announcement's going to travel fast. You just took down one of the city's major shiver producers, and announced to the world that you're destroying his product. Devargo had associates that are going to come looking for payback, or a stake in his fall. I think whatever the next move is, you better make it fast."

"Devargo provided shiver, of course. But also general security to all the businesses here. Will you hire and pay guards to enforce order on the pier? Devargo had practically started a gang war, and his cohorts will certainly pursue it. Where will you sit in street politics?"

"The business's sin taxes were all paid through Devargo as well, so to stay on the right side of the law will you provide the same? Or will the businesses need to do that themselves? That other place I bought in Bridgefront is sounding better and better."

As she says this, voices cause her to look about. The owners of the Tiger's Tail and the Dragon's Breath are coming up the gangways as well.

********************************************

Helvara leans into Tassira and answers in a whisper.

"I don't really know! I think he paid someone off in the guard somehow. I mean I think he paid our tax, but he was doing something to make it less than it should be. Or maybe he was blackmailing someone, like he was with Amprei."

Anpujit comes hustling up the gangway to a chorus of jangling arm bracelets. He's robed from head to toe again - yellow this evening - but his veil hangs askew and his mustachios are extra droopy.

"It is a calamity!" he moans as he comes aboard. "Will we be eaten by the spiders that come to claim the nest, or the society Devargo betrayed!? Or will the guard come down and clean us out? Calamity!"

When he gets close enough to see you, he recognizes you immediately.

"You! You stole my waitress and now you've come back to ruin my business! What have I done to you to make you despise me so?"

Bezzeraty's mood is less manic and a little darker as he trails the agitated vudran man up the gangway.

"So. No more shiver, but I'm supposed to keep running my business, huh? Shiver's the only thing that had any real margin for me - because of Devargo. Nope, that is not going to work."

He grimaces behind his burning cigar. "From where I sit, the sooner you clear off the better. I can do business with whoever else comes to setup the trade again, but turning away the shiver crowd... most of my clientele will disappear. In fact," he says, gesticulating back towards his vessel, "they are disappearing right now!"

Looking back over at the Dragon's Breath, you can see that he speaks the truth. The crowd on the pier is melting off into the darkness of Old Dock in pairs and groups.

********************************************

Bezzeraty crosses his little tattooed arms over his chest and takes Emi's berating, chewing his cigar. When she's finished he says simply, "Thank you ever so kindly for the offer, and I believe sincerely that you should go ahead and shove off. I think your protection and my business model are incompatible."

"Yeah! So that's it!?" Anpujit yells at the gruff little man. His sing-song cadence is incongruous when it's screamed. "They are going to disappear into the night and what will you do? You don't think the spiders will eat you too?"

Bezzeraty throws up his hands and walks back down the gangway to his boat.

"Fine, you sit there in your boat and wait for them to come with their questions." the vudran man says to Bezzeraty's backside. {Who’s ‘them?’}

"Fine," he says, readdressing Emi and Tassira, "Thank you, then for your offer - sorry that Devargo made the choice he made, but my brother and I want no place in this war the spiders have started. We will take the Tiger's Tail out into the flow of the river overnight, anchor somewhere and discuss our options. Before we ever settled here at the pier we ran our business from the public piers out into the river. Though business has been better here, I see that Devargo's choices have destroyed that deal for us." {Who/where is Anpujit’s brother?}

He turns to go back to his own vessel, but calls back as he goes. "I am fortunate my brother tends to the seaworthiness of the Tiger. With fresh sail and cordage he could take us back to Jalmeray in that tub. This wreck," he says in reference to the Eel, "she will never swim again."

Helvara turns and looks at the party clustered in the wrecked cabin, hands on hips and sporting a pout. "Ignorants. Bezzeraty liked Devargo. That's his problem."

**************************************************

Moments after you knock there's the sound of locks being thrown and the door opens a foot. The face that thrusts out is familiar, if unexpected.

"Deliveries come by the back door..." Anpugit is saying as his eyes widen in recognition of Emi. His black mustaches droop and he shakes his head.

"No, no, no! We don't want your business here! We left the Eel's End and sold the ship! All done with that..." he says as he closes the door. {Brother still in Korvosa?}

***************************************************

The door stops and Anpugit's face thrusts out a second time for a look.
"Ya, Helvara did say to let you in," he says with a sigh.

He lets the door swing open and you walk into a shadowy tavern that smells strongly of smoke and incense. The left side wall of the room is lined with long low tables with no seats. Short sets of wooden steps on the end clue you in that this is a runway for dancers. Long dining tables sit in the center of the floor facing the runway. Behind these are two cold hearths. The right side of the floor beyond the hearths is a bar that spans the width of the place with barstools along its length. In the far corner, the musician picks out a melody on his round-backed guitar while a waif of a girl in a peasant dress twists sensuously to the sound.

Anpugit locks the door behind you and waves you toward the far staircase.

"Ey! 'Elvara! You have a visitor. Visitors..." he corrects, and goes back to some business of his own behind the bar.

A moment later Helvara comes thumping down the stairs in a white blouse and leather pants. She claps her hands together when she sees who's come.

"Ah Tassira, you got my note before even I sent it! Thank Desna you've come, and with your most capable friends, too!"

She comes straight for the mage, arms extended to embrace.

**********************************************

Helvara's cheek is cold and damp. With a second look it's clear she's been crying.

"Oh, gods. We've had so many problems since we moved in here... but most of those are natural enough and mine to solve. But this morning...", she looks around quickly, then lowers her voice so Anpugit does not hear.
"This morning we found one of my people dead in his room and another certainly infected with the Blood Veil. It's so horrible! I sent Spike to find someone... a guard, a priest, even the wain. But he hasn't come back. Did he find you?" she asks hopefully.

"Only my people know. Cassandra, the sick one, she's in her room bearing up as best she can. Darien..." she stifles a sob, then continues. "It seems like he killed himself." By the end she's whispering, barely audible over the tune.

"Anpugit already believes this place is cursed or haunted. This will certainly scare him into leaving."

***************************************************

Regeris detects no evil within the range of the spell. (This includes Helvara, Anpujit.)

The bed is a mess of semi-dried blood. When the others laid him out and covered him with the sheet they likely destroyed any forensic clues as to how Darien passed his last night. Well-placed questioning, however, serves the same purpose.

"Yes. His sheets were twisted and torn off the mattress when he was found. I pulled the bed back together before we laid him back down and covered him. I couldn't say if he sweated though. There's so much blood..."

When Regeris asks about the source of the shiver, Helvara again has a ready answer.

"I stay as far away from that drug and that market as I possibly can. In the early days at Eel's End I even tried to talk Devargo out of producing the stuff, but he would hear nothing of it. After that, the best I could do was try to talk my people out of using it. But they're free, of course. Darien came to us with a problem and never shook it for very long."

"This maker's mark was one that Devargo used, but I think you can still buy it at the Night Market, among other places. I don't think Devargo was the only one who produced it. He wasn't starting that gang war alone you know, he would be sure to lose against House Arkona if he did. He had friends... you killed some of them when you took him down, but he had others. Friends I couldn't persuade him to quit."

Regeris detects no lie in Helvara. She seems genuinely distraught at the man's death, moreso even than the night you took Devargo down.

"Do you think someone could have done this to him? I've hired as many guards as I can afford, and Anpugit has more of his own. No one raised an alarm of any kind. The only way into the house other than the doors downstairs, which we lock, would be up on the third floor. Most of the space up there is still unoccupied and some of the windows are busted out. But the door was still locked from the inside this morning..."

***********************************************

"With Darien gone, I think Berind is the only employee I have left with a taste for the stuff, and he's been clean for weeks as far as I know. I'll ask the question and gather him at minimum for you to question downstairs."

Helvara leads the party out of the room and back around the corner to the steps. As the group advances up the dark staircase the old boards under their feet creak ominously. At the top of the flight they emerge into a hall that's well lit by the broken, unshuttered widows along the outer wall. Outside those windows the second floor roof extends out another twenty feet or so, making it very feasible for someone traveling along the shingles to infiltrate the house.

Padding around the third floor you find that this section covers more than half of the building's floorplan, encompassing six deserted rooms filled with broken furniture and dilapidated bedding. Based on the floorplan downstairs and the many rooms on this and the second floor, this building must have been an inn a very long time ago. The layer of dust over everything is thick and essentially undisturbed. So while it's technically feasible that someone used the shingles to enter here, you can't find any evidence that it actually occurred.

Coming back down two flights of stairs to the tavern, Helvara motions for you to follow back up the northern stairs where you first met Cassie. But rather than turning right into her room she leads you left, up another flight and into a parlor room on another part of the third floor that's not connected to the chambers you just examined.

The parlor is half living space and half bedroom. Seated in a chair in the corner is a nervous young man who Helvara introduces as Berind.
"Hi. Helvara said you wanted to ask me some questions? This isn't about Darien, is it?"

****************************************************

Berind's face drains of blood when he hears the questions and the guesses around Darien's death.

"Oh Gods! I... I'm clean. I've been clean for weeks," he replies.

"But I did have a dream just last night. A horrible one! I dreamed that I... I went downstairs in the middle of the night... and that I took a knife from the kitchen... and that I went out in the street and killed an old man who was sleeping in the alley! The dream was so bad that I woke up sweating and shaking. I had to convince myself it hadn't really happened."

"The dream was so bad that I almost fell off just last night! If I'd have had a dose of shiver on me... well, I honestly might have taken it. I really wanted one - for the first time since I quit I just really felt the need. To help me sleep again."

He casts a guilty glance at Helvara who stands in the corner, slender arms crossed under her breasts.

"Tell them where you got the drug, Berind. There's something very bad going on here and you need to help them get to the bottom of it."

He looks back to your group, shame and dread written across his face.

"The last time I used, that was the stuff," he says, pointing at the vial in Kayleigh's hand. "It was cheap. A friend of mine got the doses and we took it together. I don't know where she scored it."

****************************************************

"No, the knife was gripped in Darien's hand. One of the boys, Spike or Lefty pried it out of his frozen fingers and put it on the nightstand. We only moved him a little bit so we could pull the sheet up over his head.
"
Berind looks from face to face nervously as Helvara explains how Darien was found. There's something more, but he's plainly having a hard time getting it out. When he speaks, his voice is little more than a whisper.

"In my dream, I wanted to kill. I was thirsty... so thirsty. I went out into the street looking for something to quench my horrible thirst."

"When I found him lying there sleeping he looked so... full. Like he would burst at the seems with life. And all I could think to do was to cut him. To bleed him, and to... consume him. Like a vampire or something." He shudders at reliving his dreaming thoughts.

"I must be crazy! It's crazy to dream that, right? I woke up in my bed, feeling like the drug would quench my thirst. But I didn't have any, and I didn't take any. I didn't leave my room. I swear I had nothing to do with Darien's death. It was a dream."

When Kayleigh suggests leading the party to the scene of the dream killing, Berind reluctantly agrees. He leads the group down the steps and outdoors opposite from where you entered the tavern.
You find yourself in a narrow alleyway. The eaves of the buildings to either side overlap creating deep shadows even in the bright of day. He walks you around a corner and stops next to a pile of refuse.

"The old man slept here. This is where I killed him."

Looking around you find no signs of a murder here. There's no corpse and no bloodstains. Berind looks relieved.

You detect no trace of deception in the young man. He seems freaked. Slightly unstable.

Anpujit Might Know More Than He’s Telling

"Will we be eaten by the spiders that come to claim the nest, or the society Devargo betrayed!?”

****************************

"Yeah! So that's it!?" Anpujit yells at the gruff little man (Bezzeraty). His sing-song cadence is incongruous when it's screamed. "They are going to disappear into the night and what will you do? You don't think the spiders will eat you too?"

****************************

Bezzeraty throws up his hands and walks back down the gangway to his boat.

"Fine, you sit there in your boat and wait for them to come with their questions." the Vudran man says to Bezzeraty's backside.

"Fine," he says, readdressing Emi and Tassira, "Thank you, then for your offer - sorry that Devargo made the choice he made, but my brother and I want no place in this war the spiders have started.”

Do we want to talk about our next plans/actions too?

Obviously this could change with what Anpujit tells us, but I still think our primary focus should be on stopping Rolth Lamm and his girlfriend.

That said, I think we could do this underwater adventure we've been asked to handle, which might help deal with the disease and keep us in Kroft's good graces.

Yep, there's also Lavender. Lots of threads to follow, even to keep track of.

I think the ship is a good next move. It seems like something we can tie off fairly quickly to eliminate one of the threads.

Emi will need to go back to the temple to switch out some gear before we go diving though.

Mid-term I agree that Lamm is a good choice. Long term I do have a feeling that all the local stuff (versus queen and country stuff) traces back to the Arkonas.

Yeah, we definitely need gear for the ship (and, yes, my hope is it's a thread we can tie off quickly, which is why I don't want to let it linger too long) -- I need a piercing weapon instead of my sword.

Kayleigh's #1 priority at the moment is to heal Carawyn and any other Lambs, so if the Queen's Physicians and Gray Maidens call on the Temple of Aroden, they won't get carted off to a hospice; with Emi needing to return to the temple for gear, I think that's covered. She's also got to find a site for her & Ishan to set up their own hospice.

Kayleigh's got some spelled prepped for the shipwreck search.

For going after Jolistina and/or Rolth, maybe she could prepared a locate object spell to zero in on a keylock dagger. Then again, maybe now that we've got a Sneaky Emi, she and Regeris can infiltrate Artists Overground without alerting our quarry that we're (sort of) onto them. I agree this is a high-priority mission.

One more mission we haven't completed: Getting Tiora checked out for derro 'programming.'

Never, but I've been around RPGs long enough that I probably heard the name a few time. I just Googled it and saw that Ravnos is apparently a vampire clan based in India. What are the chances?

Now Kayleigh will probably think she's a vampire. Gotta make sure kitty casts a shadow or a reflection in a mirror!

Looking at these items, since as Kayleigh noticed, we haven't divided loot up.

Nebbin has a cloak of resistance, so don't need one of these.

I would like one of the rings, however.

IMO, it probably makes the most sense to sell the magic weapons and armor and update the ones we're more likely to use. That's not very cost effective, but I don't think any of us use those weapons regularly. The +2 dagger is perhaps worth keeping? It could be a solid weapon for Kayleigh, despite her hesitation to use it.

Emi would take a cloak of protection if there's one left after everyone else decides if they want one. She'd like one of the rings of protection.

I believe the slippers of spider climbing we got a while back are still unclaimed. I think those would be very good for Tassira rather than a ring. +1 to her AC doesn't make much difference, but running up the side of a building is an excellent way for her to get out of trouble.

Emi will hang on to he +1 rapier for the time being at least. She's picking up a spear for underwater, but the rapier is also piercing and magical as well.

Wow--that was a deep reference; I had to Google it and even then didn't remember it from when I read the Harry Potter books. I thought about having Kayleigh call your PC 'Webbin-Webbin,' but with all the spider-themed crap going down in-game it seemed like doing so would be inviting disaster down upon us all.

In other deep reference news, I was drinking mojitos and watching SpongeBob the other night (Don't judge me--it's a pandemic thing!), and there was an episode where SB's pineapple house got devoured by aquatic termites or the like and he goes to live with Patrick. Patrick lives under a rock, so the two clowns use the rock as a blanket at night, each one pulling it off the other. Then Patrick's snoring and drooling becomes an issue...well, long story short, SpongeBob wakes Patrick up from a nightmare, and Patrick gets all wide-eyed and yells, "Spiders! Spiders! Get 'em off me! Get 'em off me!" Then he proceeds to pick up his house/rock and bash SpongeBob with it a dozen times or so.

My first thought was: Kayleigh can totally relate to that.

We now return you to your regularly-scheduled Sunday....

Hey guys. I had a hard-as-nails week, followed by a weekend on the road. I'll get a proper post up after work today. Sorry for the delay.

I've not had much time for posting in the last couple of weeks, and it's going to continue for a couple more before things calm down.

Not only are we getting hit with a second tsunami of applications this month now that enhanced UC benefits have ended, but we're also in the middle of transitioning to a new software platform that changes just about everything about how we work, from learning the software itself, to office procedures and workflows.

Almost all the regular eligibility workers are in training so the rest of us, who don't do eligibility but have some training, have been pulled in to cover for them. It's going swell.

Anyhoo, if I'm falling behind and slowing things down go ahead and bot me. I think we'll be back to normal around the 2nd week of September.

FYI, I'll be out of town, and probably not posting Tuesday-Saturday (I will have my cellphone, so I might check occasionally, but I find it far too cumbersome to do a full post on mobile).

So I guess no rush, DM Luke :) ?

Tale of Days Current Battlemap City Map

Yeah, this whole slow-down thingy has been anything but (not that I'm complaining - it's good to have work). I'd have thought the housing industry would have slowed down, but then we do software linked to the housing industry, so even if the main business did slow, that's just a lull for us to get more system in place.

I will say no one's traveling anymore, which is a gift in itself. I hate business trips. Too fond of my family for that nonsense.

So ... it looks like we STILL haven't quite decided what we're selling and what we've gotten to upgrade our own equipment. I'm going to go through our notes and the costs and retcon that in (I hope tomorrow, but certainly in the next few days). Hope that's OK, DM Luke.

I helped a little--here are the 5 potions we discovered in the bookshop:

I've assumed all arcane scrolls go to Tassira, all divine ones go to Regeris. As for potions, I think those that aren't distributed to others should also go to Regeris. That said, I've meant to get a potion of cure moderate wounds for Kayleigh to carry with her in case of emergency if she's ever dropped below 0 hps. I'll add that to her shopping list.

OK, so let's deal with this loot list; this includes some older treasure that may already be on character sheets.

SELL -- 4,355.5 gp total; 871.1 gp each
+2 studded leather (2,082.5)
Two +1 leathers (1,160 gp)
4 spider-sickles (12 gp)
strongbox w/ 1026 gp
elixir of love (75 gp)

KEEP
Slippers of scampering (these aren't quite the same as slippers of spider climbing, but still similar) (Tassira)
4 cloaks of resistance +1 (Emileva, Regeris, Kayleigh, Nebbin* -- I already have one on my sheet, but I think it's from the earlier post when Emi suggested I take it even though I never actually said I would back then, but I have that listed gp and the amulet, so...)
+1 rapier (Emileva)
+2 dagger (Kayleigh)
4 rings of protection (Nebbin, Regeris, Kayleigh, Emileva)
Potion of Bear's Endurance (Emi)
Potion of Cat's Grace (Regeris)
Potion of Cure Serious Wounds (Regeris)
Potion of Cure Serious Wounds (Tassira)
Potion of Shield of faith (Nebbin)
Potion of gaseous form
2 scrolls -- ?? (these are from the top of the page; not sure what they're from)
Scrolls of Vampiric Touch, Lightning Bolt, Apport Object, Decrepit Disguise and Catatonia (Tassira)
Amulet of Natural Armor +1 (Nebbin)
Ring of feather falling (??)

--

(NOTE to self: I'm adding the gold and potion of shield of faith to my sheet now.)

Thanks for working on the loot list, Nebbin.

I updated Kayleigh's sheet as well. I'll point out that Kayleigh's only keeping the +2 dagger for the shipwreck dive, as a magical piercing weapon might prove useful in underwater combat. If we sell it afterwards, that'd bring in another 4,151 gp (or 830.2 gp apiece).

I'm guessing the two unknown scrolls are the cure moderate wounds ones from the older treasures post Nebbin linked. They don't show up on Regeris's character sheet, though it's possible he might've already used them.

Tale of Days Current Battlemap City Map

Hey guys. I just wanted to lay down some of my assumptions and rules for this next sequence, since underwater stuff is a little different and sometimes difficult.

I'm going with the Aquatic Adventures rules for anything that happens combat-wise, including rules for buoyancy, underwater combat, spell effects, etc. I'm assuming that paper goods such as spellbooks and scrolls that you might normally carry are not in your possession underwater. I think there's an argument to be made for potions still being ok to drink underwater, so no difficulties there. I've spent the last couple of days putting the finishing touches on some maps and graphics that we'll use for the upcoming sequence and I'm honestly pretty excited about this part. Some of the elements of these maps have been in the works for years, so hopefully this part will be fun and challenging.

I created an exploration level map as well as a depth chart to help visualize your exploration as it evolves. At the start you're all at the surface, just behind the Lorna's Labor. The Labor stands well off the eastern shore (far shore) of the river. Both may be found here. The grid on the exploration map is 1 square = 10 feet.

I'm assuming you're starting with a Water breathing spell from Ishan, cast on the surface, and that you'll supplement that with Tassira's magic as necessary as that magic may wear off over time.

Oh, and thanks guys for the item round-up above. I'm 100% ok with whatever retcon is needed to get that part straight.
