"Grotesque! I also don't trust any dead bodies around here!"
"After our encounters thus far, I am thoroughly inclined to agree with you. I shall blast the corpse with disrupting energies that are only harmful to the undead. It will respond in consternation or continue to lie inert. Prepare yourselves."
Cast Disrupt Undead
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

do it i dont trust the dead ones ill be ready to burn it also.

Naomi Chadwick |
that's a very sad picture Naomi looks at the maiden Evasheen, trying to remember anything she knows about a possible missing maiden, and casting detect magic she turns and asks Uthala, "Uthala dear, do you remember any news about a missing Maiden?"
knowledge: I would assume history or local?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

shandar milsap |

knowledge local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 made mistake on my plus

brvheart |

"And who said that I am missing? Am I not still lovely?" says a voice almost disembodied from the corpse, but still emanating from it.

Naomi Chadwick |
well that was very unexpected smiling at the creatures response Naomi moves to the front, ever so slightly bowing gently "Greetings miss, My apologies, I assumed that since you were down here that you were missing from up there. Where are my manors I am Naomi Chadwick from Bard's Gate and these are my associates, we have been asked to patrol the sewers and remove any infestations. May I have the privilege of making your acquaintance."
diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 boo, I no longer care for these dice!

"Poor" Cyric |

Cyric chimes in that they are pleased to make her acquaintance. misfortune on the diplomacy roll for naomi
Cyric diplomacy: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19

Hagrym |

Hagrym looks at the others. If she was an evil undead, she couldn't leave and they had to slay her. And if the necromancer was her husband...he would have to deal with both of them.

brvheart |

"Occan, the necromancer."
If you attempt to detect evil on her Hagrym, she does not detect as so.

Naomi Chadwick |
"And what is it that you think I can do for you? I have a menace of my own currently. Recently, a necromancer moved into the far side of the sewers, a section long abandoned and left mostly in ruins. Worse still, undead minions following the necromancer sealed off entry into the area, slaying the scouts I sent to spy on the sorceress."
With that Renneth smiles, "My child what you are needing is the blessing of Ayianna. I am the High Priestess of Ayianna and can provide that in return for your assistance with my necromancer problem. Do we have a deal?"
'ok she's talking instead of trying to kill us, that's a start, I wonder if she is the sorceress that the priestess spoke of' Naomi smiles at the 'woman' "Occan, the necromancer, we assumed that was his profession and did I understand right, your name is Evasheen?" looking at the woman Noami takes a gamble, "that is correct, right? Evasheen. Do you mind if I call you Evasheen? You are right, Evasheen we were sent to remove the undead from the sewers and to see that the necromancer has left. How that happens though can be a matter of discussion. Would you and your husband speak to us about leaving you new found home? A parlay certainly wouldn't hurt anything would it?"

brvheart |

"I no longer speak to the controlling sob. He poisoned me and I am now as I am."

Naomi Chadwick |
How very curious looking at the lady Naomi sympathetically, asks, "Can you explain what he did to you, perchance we can help undo it. Or possibly we can introduce you to the priestess who sent us, she may be able to assist you." Thinking for a moment Naomi adds "Also, If you husband did this to you, I don't think I would trust him to parlay, would you be willing to tell us about his lair? If we capture him could he undo what he has done?"

Turvijagal |

"I daresay there's no love loss between you and your husband, m'lady. Can you help us against Occan? With information, perhaps?"
diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17
Now THAT is a fluke of a roll, if ever there was one! Especially with Turvijagal's less-than-sparkling personality!

brvheart |

Kavali, the wizard and the other necromancer. Occan is a cleric."

brvheart |

"She is Kavali. I have been here for a long time so I cannot help with their defenses."

brvheart |

She seems to be prevented from speaking more as if something is stopping her.

Naomi Chadwick |
'this seems like a very sad situation indeed'Naomi gives Evasheen a simple bow of the head and turns to the team, "Well what do you boys," realizing she forgot the new addition "and Uthala, think? Shall we go finish what we came here to do?"
turning she sends her dancing lights ahead, back to the flooded corridor, waiting for the group to start moving that direction, she stays in the middle of the pack, rapier and shield ready.

brvheart |

The tunnel dips under a pool of brackish water before surfacing on the other side. This descending bend is a natural trap that prevents tidewater from entering the relatively dry section of the sewers farther along the passageway.

Naomi Chadwick |
folks are we in regular marching order?
Naomi begins to hum as she follows the boys south to the central area U2then turning into the eastern corridor, "Yes Turvijagal the corridor we just left is running north and south and this new corridor is running east"
brv I realize that U2 is flooded, is U5 where the brackish water is? And do we fully submerge going through it?

brvheart |

Area U-6 Steam and the hiss of sizzling water fill this chamber. The sewer passage has collapsed into a huge underground sinkhole. A pit in the center of the room swallowed the walls, passage and earth to create a 60-foot-diameter room. The slight funnel-shaped room slopes inward toward the pit. On the left side of the room, the sinkhole unearthed a
portion of a hall to a sunken structure.

Turvijagal |

Turvijagal will move up stealthily to the entrance. Scimitar drawn.
stealth: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40 (unencumbered)
He's got enough magic and skill. But that's still an amazing result
And then looks to see if there are any nasty surprises about.
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

brvheart |

The 30-foot-deep pit is filled with boiling, muddy water that connects to an underwater cave system that empties into the sea. A massive skeletal snake-like beast burns in eternal fire near the pit.
