The next book is for levels 6-8 sa you are about where you are supposed to be. FGG stuff always tends to be rather rough at times.
But I am going to limit that ray to 1/day even though the DC is low.


I usually push harder on my character's Saving Throws, though Grenz's were not THAT bad. It happens.

The construct took it's turn, it swallowed and ejected Grenz.

Your welcome, when the map changes I will try and get a new image, in the meantime you can post what you want to do or where you want to be and I can move you on the map.


Hehe Dalgrym, I think I am gonna leave it at that. Don't plan on creating another character.

I will just thank you guys for the game, wish you good luck with your adventuring, and leave room for another one to be recruited.

Let me try and update you. We are in a temple of the dead god Arden for his blessing on The Scepter of Faith The first three levels were filled with gnolls that had moved in. The fourth level has .something else

At the beginning of the game we found the tomb of Akruel Rathamon broken into by one Rayne D’Anzeray, we presume a necromancer (sinse we were fighting undead). After some searching, we found the crypt tomb, Akruel Rathamon's body gone and the Scepter of Faith broken. It was the item keeping the undead scourge dead. Each of the gods had helped in crafting the Scepter, now we have to ask their cleric to bless it agian so it can be reformed.

This is the last blessing and more info on the scepter.

Yeah I played with it and finally got it to work, but I don't use dynamic lighting or know where those tokens are. They look like they are 5E.

@brvheart: A slight error on my part. I assumed traveller's any-tool covered thieves’ tools too. I had the gold to have started with mwk thieves' tools and extenders. Is it okay to have those handy?

Ok, let's kick this pig.

As Roylenna pointed out we have seen some combat, Wulfgar is down under just over half his spells, I'm not sure where everyone else is. So I play wulfgar more combat oriented than buffer, debuffer or controller. Most of his spells are buffing spells, Roylenna handles the healing during combat and Wulfgar will help afterwards.

Let's talk about marching order, I've had Wulfgar going first just to keep the game moving along, then asking Grenz to deal with traps or locks. If either Xathanael or Amadana want point that's great, just keep the game moving :)

I think it's been: Wulfgar Grenz, Dalgrym Uthala, Tobold then Roylenna

Xathanael and Amadana, where do you see yourselves? If either take point, I can move Wulfgar,

We also may need to think about guard duty for when we rest.

Xathanael is intended as a harrier in combat, being able to move and force enemies to eat AOO if they want to advance or retreat.

His alchemy extracts are a mixture of buffing and utility with a few offensive options.

Lots of skills and very perceptive.

He's fine with going in front, being very percetive and a little bit of a thrill-seeker (but not a stupid one).

As both he and Amadana can trance, we can help cover more shifts. I suggest at least two people awake at any one time.

Say this for shifts of who's meant to be up:

0-4 hours: Amadana & Roylenna

4-8 hours: Xathanael & Wulfgar

8-12 hours: Tolbold & Dalgrym (plus whomever has slept fully)

Perfect, lets use Uthala in the 0-4 slot with us, since she and Dalgrym has darkvision.

cool, I'm happy taking a defensive position as long as we keep things moving.

Taking the liberty of recommending:
inside marching order: Xathanael, Amadana, Dalgrym, Wulfgar, Tolbold, Roylenna and Uthala covering the rear.

Outside marching order reverse the front two: Amadana, Xathanael, Dalgrym, Wulfgar, Tolbold, Roylenna and Uthala covering the rear.

If we go side by side: Amadana and Xathanael, Dalgrym and Wulfgar, Tolbold and Roylenna with Uthala covering the rear.

Again, Wulfgar wasn't in the lead because he was best at it, he was in the lead because he was willing to make choices and post....

If we have a discussion, the rule of three should apply, if one person has an idea and two agree with no descent we should go.

edit: Is everyone good with the map? for light Wulfgar will keep light on his hammer. Xathanael unless you want it on the tip of your spear.

Rule of three is fine by me, as is that marching order and revised watch schedule.

Map also looks fine.

Light on Wulfgar's hammer is fine as standard operating procedure.

Note 1: I am fine with Xathanael being botted to keep things moving. So long as he isn't made to do handstands in front of killer ants etc. ;)

Note 2: My phone does not like Roll20. So before 6pm GMT during weekdays I won't be able to look at the map. That shouldn't usually be an issue, as I can post using descriptions or check at evenings and weekends. But I thought I'd mention it.

it feels weird to have Dalgrym so far back in the marching order, but I think I see the rationale, assuming the first two are more scouty types
