Quick question, GM - I'm changing the character's alignment to LN, because it fits her disciplined, ambitious nature more. (And it opens the opportunity to multiclass as monk if I so choose.) Can I keep her faith in Gorum even though she's not one of the alignments that Gorum's priests would be allowed to be? I've not found anything in the rules that says a mere worshiper (as opposed to a cleric) has to be within a step of alignment.

@Paladin - Sure, no problem by me. I think there are probably plenty of people who agree with their god's goals but not philosophy or something similar.

Thanks Jacob! :)

I'll tone him down to 15 point buy then, as I'd really love to join you in this adventure path. :)

Here's the roster:

Maja
Pretty
Seraphina
Idris
Kivan
Cassius

Congratulations, team. There were a lot of good choices.

If you are interested in being on the waiting list, PM me. No offense, but odds are that someone will bail before too long.

I'll put up the discussion and gameplay threads as soon as I can. The discussion thread will include a brief social contract and posting guidelines.

Aww, just as I lowered the stats too!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

*does the dance of joy*

Hurrah! I can stop stalking and refreshing the thread now. ^_^
Four female PC's, eh? Hmm, we might be playing Queenmaker instead. Looking forward to playing with you all!

@Lelouch - PM'ed you.

@Seraphina - I was noticing that as I was choosing. I'll be interested to see how may tropes we embrace/subvert.

Huzzah! I'll have more stats in the profile shortly.

Thank you for picking Kivan for this adventure.

I see how it is. Have to be a girl to get a fair shake at it. I knew I should have rebuilt my drag gnome. ;-P In all seriousness congratulations, oh now I want to rebuild my drag gnome synthesist.

Anyone want to be my bestie for this adventure?

Are you rich?

Seraphina has a thing for big brother types, so she will definitely be your friend. I'm a good bantering partner, too. ^_~

I mean really really king-like rich?

I don't think Idris and Cassius's paths would have crossed before the adventure begins -- your background doesn't specify where he was living, but was it in New Stetven? Since your background mentions the Surtova family, it doesn't seem likely, since they're based in Port Ice. She will probably sympathize with his past, which is not dissimilar to her own.

Pretty- Cassius rich? Yeah right he barely even has a gold piece to his name.

Sera- (Cassius will call you Sera for short) Yes! some bantering. Also seduce my enemies with that high 18 Cha. Although your noble blood may make Cassius slow to trust you. Nothing personal, but he doesn't have much good experience with them.

Idris- He was in Port Ice, however during his escape it would be likely he went to New Stetven at some point before joining this expedition.

Could have met you in Port Ice, but probably not. Unless you were that guy who had some stolen goods that I "liberated"......nah

That makes sense, since the expedition is chartered by the rulers of Brevoy, they would do it from the capital -- so Idris has met Cassius, and probably Seraphina, but not known them long. Pretty, where do you want your character to be from? If New Stetven, Idris could have known you longer.

Sera it is! And I dub thee, Cas! I got the impression from the primer that the Medvyen are more like noble goatherds. And they have an innate respect for the natural world, which is why she'd have worked so well as a Ranger herself. Beyond resolving that her duty to her Uncle includes "marrying well" for political gain, she's probably not a typical 'Lady' at all.

And seducing the enemy is definitely within her wheelhouse. Now if only I didn't have a reputation to uphold, I could get one of those really illogically designed, distractingly cut outfits. XD

Fair warning to all, this character will be flirty but it won't go beyond a PG-13'ish rating. Let me know if it's bothersome though and I'll tone it down. ^_^
Oh, and I am female IRL too if that factors in. lol!

Idris is probably a little too focused on her ambitions and training to be flirty or seduce the enemy. Maybe if an attractive person was up front and made a play for her, she'd play along, but otherwise she's a little too focused.

Kivan- Nah wasn't me, although its a decent size town, i dont think everyone knows eachother anyway lol

Idris- My thoughts exactly on the leaving from the capital thing. So i would know you, probably when they were doing recruiting and maybe we happened to speak (i assume the lines were just as bad as the ones at the DMV lol)

Sera- Although now that you've left your uncles home, it doesnt seem like you need to give a damn about your uncles political gain.

It would need to take a consistent amount of flirting to illicit a positive reaction from Cassius considering he does have a girl back home. Although, it has been a while, not to mention his concern for his family.

Discussion thread is up.
