Post will be up tomorrow, barring any more vexing interruptions lol.

Also, Korina, RVT has stated she is almost ready to return she said one of you PM'd her and got a reply. She said upon her return she would be running a campaign like Spooks: Welcome to the Great Beyond in Pathfinder form. I've already claimed a slot in advance by putting on the pouty manface lol!

Female Human Oracle 1 / Summoner (Master Summoner) 1 | HP: 9/9 | AC: 12, T: 12, FF: 10 | Fort: +1, Ref: +2, Will: +2 | BAB: +0, CMB: +1, CMD: 13 | Init: +8 | Perception: +1 |

Well, I'm certainly looking forward to her return. ^^ We'd love to really get started in Echoes of the Sephira!

And in the meantime... kukuku. I suppose I'll keep working on ideas for here.

Female Fey (Half-Lampad) Ratfolk Gunslinger/Alchemist

Echoes of Sephira? Sounds interesting. :)

Is it a pbp game?

Female Human Clever Godling 17 / Eldritch Godling 17 / Hierophant 3 | HP: 182 | AC: 30 [41], T: 17 [28], FF: 28 [39], SR: [27] | Fort: 22, Reflex: 26, Will: 26 [Day: 28/32/32] | BAB: +12, CMB: +14, CMD: 31 | Init: +9, Perception: +31 |

Yup. ^^ RVT's had... lots of net problems... so we're still kind of lounging around at the start, but you can see the recruitment and overall details here:

(This character is the one I'm playing there.)

Woot!

Yes, Echoes of the Sephira is a gestalt mythic campaign here on the PBP boards where PCs eventually become gods. Everyone starts at level 17 with 3 mythic ranks and may play as creatures and/or use templates. RVT and I brainstormed it, though she was the first to put up a recruitment and had her storyline finished before I could finish mine lol. It's a planes-spanning, world-shattering epic the likes of which have been almost unheard of on the messageboards.

Female Human Oracle 1 / Summoner (Master Summoner) 1 | HP: 9/9 | AC: 12, T: 12, FF: 10 | Fort: +1, Ref: +2, Will: +2 | BAB: +0, CMB: +1, CMD: 13 | Init: +8 | Perception: +1 |

It's been terribly slow starting... but we're VERY dedicated players. XD

Looks fun~

Hello!

Sczarni

Male Human Invulnerable Rager Barbarian & Soulknife Gestalt / 1

I think we're ready when you are, GM.

Also, just so everyone knows, I started my job this week. I don't know how that will affect my posting schedule at all, but I usually post at night anyway, so it should be that bad.

Princey has been having a bad time with his health lately, so I have offered to help run things on the days he does not post. He agreed, but only because I am quite good at imitating his style. He is my teacher after all! ^_^

In-Character "Oh my, what a fine bunch of beautiful little playthings! I think the Master has made you all soft and weak... let me shape you up a little bit, give you a bit of... discipline we will call it, you scrumptious mortals!" *SULTRY LAUGH* ^_^

lol @ Lune.

Energy drain isn't my idea of Foreplay. xD

This will be fun though to be moving forward. Updated Chi's stat page and found a suitable fey type that would work as her half-blood so to speak.

Glad to have you Mistress of the Abyss~ Hope our GM feels better soon, even if it means he doesn't come back.

Had a GM in one of my longest running games (4.5 years) leave due to health issues. It sucked as that game was seriously epic. I played a modified Dragonrider and it was righteous!

Female Fey (Half-Lampad) Ratfolk Gunslinger/Alchemist

Just FYI

I like playing with google/excel docs and have made an ultimate loot sheet (Just one I made as I never saw one on the boards), I don't mind keeping track of loot for the group. :)

It calculates shares based off of number of party members, converts everything to GP and is fairly easy to use. I use it in my Kingmaker games and it has worked out well even when disputes occur on what we sell and don't sell.

(example) My character wanted to keep some pieces of art and so he deducted the costs from his share of the loot. No one but him lost any gp, so you get the drift. But I got some cool stuff for my personal quarters in my castle. So booyah~

Most current loot sheet - Kingmaker - In use.

Funny Story:
Lmao, I don't know how long you've played D&D but if you know who Shami-Amourae is then picture a whole campaign of that lol!

I only survived because I found a cursed ring of energy drain protection. Needless to say my poor fighter was the butt of my DM's endless pranks. The Curse made him highly susceptible to the Succubi's abilities....

Blargh!

It seemed every time we explored a temple it had some Succubi theme and despite the endless fun we had my character eventually got separated from the party one day and accidentally opened a door that was some sort of gate spell. It led, of coruse, to a room with several succubi lounging in their. When the party found the same door it was shut again and led into an empty room.

Three weeks later my character reappeared walking naked out of the woods. The succubi removed stole all of my gear, save for my cursed ring...

It sounds ridiculous but the campaign was actually more then just Succubi they were just a major... player in the scheme of things.

We fought the pegasus riding barbarians of Zinfandel...

We aided the kingdom of Merlot...

Ended the goblin war at Fort Cuervo alongside the mighty Cavalier (2nd Edition CHaracter Concept) Ron Bacardi the hero and mayor of....

You guessed it! Bacardi City.

His entire campaign world incorporating every awesome drink or beverage name known to man so long as it made sense.

It was some very fun and semi serious times. Although I have a particular dread for rooms full of succubi now...

Female Fey (Half-Lampad) Ratfolk Gunslinger/Alchemist

Lol I thought about resurrecting it as I have his notes but after he passed in 2010 we all went our separate ways. :/

But I have thought really hard where in golarion this could work and the river kingdoms seemed the bet lol.

Sczarni

Male Human Invulnerable Rager Barbarian & Soulknife Gestalt / 1

That...sounds fantastic. I'm not much of a drinker, but "whole settings with persons, places, and things named after {insert here}" is something I can't dislike.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Female Fey (Half-Lampad) Ratfolk Gunslinger/Alchemist

It was!

I have met few DM's who created such depth to something that sounded so simple.

Beginning of the Story:
The Succubi were only a part of the BBEG at work.

The Succubi of Shami-Amourae were at war with various religions, mainly Aphrodite and Nike. We had some major greek god themes going on. A number of times we'd find tapestries of Shami-Amourae dominating Aphrodite or Nike in inappropriate to mention ways.

But the story doesn't end there Oh NOE! Our DM was a nefarious and crazy good manipulator!

My character,:
Inspired by my naivety, kept some of these tapestries despite their massive GP worth. We also found some statues and he kept a couple of those for their innate magical properties, they would alert him if someone broke into his fortress or heal him if he leaned against it for a certain amount of time.

The Downside... One of the Tapestries wasn't of Shami-Amourae but of her lesser herald and was a direct link to her, both of the Magical statues were actually Succubi turned to stone and cursed. Much to the parties surprise, when he accidentally freed the succubi (Using their magical abilities freed them until they tripped their curse again) he allowed them to stay and run his estate while he was away. Much to their delight he didn't die from energy drain, which their curse turned them to stone any time they energy drained someone (Aphrodite cursed them...). Since I had surprised my DM they turned out to be extremely loyal and over time their alignment shifted to reflect Feldan's. They were Loyal to their very bones as he treated them very well...

The lesser herald turned out to become his bonded mistress later on...

She took a particular interest in someone who tamed succubi, it was an interest fraught with peril for me but I managed lol...

By the campaign's end he had acquired a small harem of Succubi 6 - 12 I can't really remember, all suffering various curses that he somehow helped them to escape (temporarily) and they pledged their loyalty to him. He accidently found another cursed item, an amulet, that allowed him to control a crystalline Succubi golem that he used to protect his primary fortress along with othe loyal guardians. Including a blessed spirit... Wait What?!

It gets better!:
The Succubi were also infiltrating most of the northern kingdoms bureaucracies and taking over the kingdoms through charm and guile. Rulers became puppets or were replaced completely before their kingdoms quickly followed suit. Merlot was one of the main kingdoms that fell completely under their sway. We found out towards the mid game that we were working for the Cult of Shami-Amourae for months...

WE even turned over a silver dragon egg for 'safe keeping', when we realized that we were working for them we had to then rescue the hatchling from them. They had been using foul rituals to twist it into an abyssal silver dragon and we showed up the night of the final ritual. Granted my Cursed ring made things damn near impossible for me not to aid the enemy I was able to BS my way through not directly helping either side.

We had to nurse the poor creature back to health, restore its alignment and cleanse it of demonic taint which took a ton of resources. The succubi nearly stole it back but my guy intervened and vanished for 4 month in game...

I ran three characters in this campaign. Kora ( Human Peasant Hero - Concept) Torak (Half elf cleric of Nike) And Felden Whitestaff (Human FIGHTER - Whitestaff the fighter who knew fighters could have a wizardy name... He was the one with the cursed ring...)

Other BBEG at work

Lolth had escaped the Abyss and helped her drow created a weapon that would alter weather patterns. It created cloud cover so thick that the Drow were able to amass on the surface and suffer no ill effects as the suns rays were blocked completely. We clashed with them and Felden was killed three times in several drider ambushes. This was when I learned the next side effect of the ring...

When Felden was near death or knocked unconscious he would be instantly teleported to his Mistresses side, yep he had a bonded mistress succubi about half way through the campign. They modified his ring...

Gah...

He then had to suffer her ministrations and humiliations until she released him. Again, naked, in a random location of her choosing and lacking all his gear save for that ring. Felden of course sacrificed himself... a lot. It was cheaper for him to humiliate himself then to resurrect members ot the party.

The war with the Drow was brutal and costly and many of us did die several times. Some permanently... :'( But through the sacrifice of my Half Elf Cleric we drove Lolth back into the abyss and sealed her there once more!

Other other BBEG's

Numerous Goblinoid tribes were gathering hordes to strike at the kingdoms in their weakened state. Two or three of which were under the direct control of the Cult and one was conquered by the drow...

Ron Bacardi and his army were facing off with these hordes and we aided him several times at Fort Cuervo. Once at Bacardi City.

Other x3 BBEG's

Various evil artifacts.

A Necklance of Strangulation that a evil cult (Not Succubi or Drow related) was using to kill off a blessed spirit they had polymorphed into human form. We ran into her just as they were about to kill her off. Then a 26 round battle (5 rounds to kill the cultists and 21 of wrestling with the necklace) Ensued in the ditch. We locked the necklace in a box and chained it, the thing was so violent we dragged the box behind us and it would rattle and throw itself at anything that got near it...

The Woman was unconscious and we had to find a particular lake to restore her to consciousness. This was in the part of the continent known as the Nation of a Thousand Lakes.....

Dammit.

So after four weeks of narrowing it down we finally found a cluster of lakes mentioned in legend as being sacred. Tons of research.... So we made our way there and were hounded by the cult to no end, mere yards away from the lake we encountered the cult leader, a Deathknight, and proceeded to battle him. He powerword killed Felden, who promptly vanished to his mistresses side. Power word blinded my cleric Torak and proceeded to beat the hell out of us. We had cultists coming up behind us and despite being a 24 member party (16 players) we were up against 150+ enemies of high challenge level for 2nd edition. The party members carrying the woman were tasked with making a break for it and we crashed through the death knight and his forces to make a final run at the lake. The moment she was dropped into the lake she transformed into her true self and proceeded to destroy the cult once and for all...

(The moment she went into the lake our DM (AKA Brother Brett) Just closed his binder with a sigh and said Battle Over, you bastards.... You oh-so smart bastards.....

She thanked us, summoned Feldan back (WITH HIS GEAR FOR ONCE D:! But boy was his Mistress Pissed OFF!)

More BBEG's ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!?!?>!!?!?!?! D:< >:3

A group of nobles took advantage of the turmoil and joined with dark forces, drow, demons the works and tried to overthrow the remaining kingdoms in a gambit for domination. We killed them and took their kingdoms. Nuff' said. ;)

A lich phylactery that nearly annhilated all of us. It would perform a soul jar effect on anyone who tried to identify it or use it. Replacing their soul with the Lich and allowing him a Living body and foul undead powers...

We killed him with The Sunderer. He killed over half the party and burned half of the Kingdom of Merlot to the ground before we stopped him...

An evil green dragon and its children manipulated various nations from the shadows and attempt to kill us when we tried to intervene.

We caused a war, on accident, between steam punk technology worshippers and a group of druids known as the Circle (THIS WAS BEFORE IRON KINGDOMS D20 Existed! So :P.) It took awhile but the war ended, eventually. They still never liked each other but he steam tech was awesome!

That is the most I can remember... sadly.

The list goes on! It was very epic. Feldan never truly died. Nor did he turn to evil... Surprisingly.

Where are they now? My characters, too many other characters to list them all!:

Feldan - After acquiring a small harem of succubi he continued to court the affections of the Lesser Herald with greater success, eventually convincing her to be nice to him. He acquired four more cursed items that work for and against him, Three of which completely canceled each other out lol!

After setting up his primary fortress where the sacred spirit resided he funny enough, ended up becoming a somewhat BBEG towards the end of the game. He took advantage of the weakened kingdoms, the turmoil caused by the war and quickly conquered a little over a quarter of the campaign map before the party finally "stopped" him.

HA! >:)

He also began worshipping Shami-Amourae as a casual worshipper and enjoyed a more friendly status with her herald. He also worshipped aphrodite to make her jealous and much to his success. The sacred spirit allowed him to use the waters of the lake to restore life to the innocent killed during the turmoil of the wars the party fought in. In the end thirteen thousand were returned to life, he never got any credit for it but the Sacred spirit decided to join him on his quest for Unifying the Continent under his banner.

Needless to say, he never truly succumbed to evil but in his kingdom it wasn't uncommon for certain demons (Succubi only) to walk freely among the populace and hold positions of power in his kingdoms. It also made his kingdom a hell of a lot harder to take down as these demons enjoyed their new found freedoms a lot and were more than willing to fiercely protect it. They were not given complete free reign though, they were not allowed to harm the populace or face the wrath of his cursed blade The Sunderer which was capable of obliterating things from existence. There were strict rules on what they could and could not do and his Lucky Ring was a massed produced item in the kingdom. Later and much to the herald's displeasure Aphrodite was a sanctioned religion in Feldan's kingdom he even allowed them to set up a central shrine in his primary fortress. She couldn't argue with the fact that their presence bred more motivation in Shami-Amourae's followers creating a very active religious shadow war, no deaths but a LOT of manipulating back and forth. A few succubi even converted to Aphrodite which really added to tensions but Sunderer made sure no one died.

He also made the favored hound of his nation the Blink Dog and raised them as warhounds much to the displeasure of those that opposed his hound masters in combat...

During the campaign in the very beginning 1-2nd level ww ran across a displacer beast slaughtering a bunch of Blink Dog pups. Without thinking and separated from the party at the time, Feldan charged in and fought it and then found out why it was called a displacer beast. It nearly killed him and he threw himself over the remaining pups to protect them as it lacerated him. Are party Orc fighter went berserk and ripped it apart in a ditch when he found Feldan unconscious on the brink of death. He beat it to death with his fists before its mate appeared and nearly killed him. His rage filled shouts brought the rest of the party and the second beast was dispatched with laughable ease. Feldan came out with 7 Blink Dog pups, which the party kept and raised as their own.

End of Campaign wrap up. The Kingdom of Felland is a place known for its strange balance in power between mortals and demons. Where the demon worshipping megalomanic Feldan Whitestaff rules eternally, surrounded by his demon consorts and worshipping the vile Shami-Amourae. Despite his evil he is kept in check by the surrounding kingdoms that rose up to push him back. Lie Lie and LIE!. My buddies decided it would fit our dear friends wishes if my primary character was painted as some horrible demon worshipping monster despite the great strides he made in changing the continent.

The real story. Feldan ruled for a few centuries before disappearing completely when The Empire invaded the continent of Hoegaarden. A bloody century passed and the Empire slaughtered thousands in the name of the Emperor. During that time Shami-Amourae disappeared like she never existed replaced by her once Lesser Herald (whose name is a secret Mwahahah! >:D). Being completely dominated by her consort causes radical changes in the Succubi's alignment throughout the Fellands (The all became Lawful Neutral. It is then Feldan reappeared, strong as ever and proceeded to bring the entire continent of Hoegaarden to heel, granted the continent was one among nine others on the planet but it was a major success. With his newfound powers, at the head of a powerful army of succubi and with his Nightmare steed and The Sunderer, he crushed the Empire's forces completely. His near instantaneous victory over the Empire brought every remaining nation to bend knee and join him. Resulting in the unification of the entire continent.

The party finally saw what Feldan had been working towards and those who were still alive reformed and prepared to go to war with the Empire. A singular nation in command of three continents and a challenge these epic heroes looked forward to confronting. (By The Campaign's end we were in 3.0 :D) The Sunderer hated the Empire with such rage the sword unleashed new abilities and granted Feldan more power than before. His dominated goddess gave him greater strength, enhancing every stat by a monstrous margin and allowed him to wrestle control of his mind and actions from The Sunderer so that he could be his own man again.

From there they waged war with the Empire! And thus a 14 year campaign ended... (/ T-T)/ *Crying Face*

Kora - He ended up using the sacred lake to cleanse the silver dragon and became the first dragonrider in the entire campaign. Needless to say he was very powerful and at the age of 16 gained immortality (Close enough, when his dragon died he would die) He went on to inspire the peasants by being a literal symbol of justice, compassion and drive. He created a small nation based off an island chain in the campaign. There he cultivated a relationship between people and dragons, thus creating the most powerful army ever seen. He went on to marry his dragon as it was a female and his kingdom lasted long after the original groups death. He ended up uniting a massive island chain akin to the bahama's and lived life very well.

Their pairing and their kingdom became the center of a Half-Dragon race that eventually overtook and replaced the population in a few centuries. Being anything but a Dragon or Half-Dragon was strange but all races were welcome so long as they coexisted with the islanders. It was a Lawful Good Nation that could shake the world if it ever had the intention of spreading its philosophy beyond their islands.

Torak - Died in the battle to drive Lolth back into the abyss, through his own valor he slew Lolth despite knowing that her death throes would bring the mountain down on him. He died and was later resurrected as Nike's Lesser Herald. From there he greatly spread Nike's religion and turned the tide when Feldan marched on the kingdoms with his demon consorts. He was the one who negotiated a truce with Feldan and was able to end the war.

He eventually rose to Greater Herald and became one of Nike's love interests much to his enjoyment.

Artifacts Feldan Aquired:

Artifacts trumped each other in this order.
1st Major
2nd Lesser
3rd Minor

Abilities would function but curses could be negated by the stronger artifact...

ON WITH THE SHOW!

Unnamed Ring - Cursed Minor Artifact - Renamed at the end as Feldan's Lucky Ring. Wearer couldn't be energy drained. Curse caused wearer to fail every save against the abilities of succubi's EVERY TIME. Additional effect added: When mortally injured teleport instantly to Shami-Amourae's domain in her heralds part of the domain...

The Sunderer - Lawful Neutral Intelligent Cursed Blade of Obliteration (Greater Artifact) - Mission: Destroy anything that would disrupt the balance of an area it deemed under its control. Made it's wielder immortal. Wilder could not wield any other weapon but The Sunderer, Ever. Any weapon chosen would be destroyed instantly. Wielders Alignment was shifted to Lawful Neutral permanently. Was used to destroy a liches phylactery and a number of evil artifacts, much to our DM's displeasure lol!

Amulet of Crystalline Manipulation - Granted the control of a Succubi Crystal Golem. 18 foot tall Diamond Golem that followed the commands of the Wielder. Curse - Golem required it to be cleaned once a month, while completely nude :P. There was something else more painful like 5k in diamond dust polish or something along those lines that had to be done each month too.

But Failure to do so resulted in it attacking its master and killing them.

Being immortal meant the statue couldn't kill me, but it was simple enough...

Statuette of the flaming steed... - Cursed Nightmare that was bonded to its rider until their death. Curse, No other mount could be selected (They died horribly!). Wearers Alignment would shift to Chaotic Evil permanently. (Due to The Sunderer being a greater artifact the alignment was negated and the Nightmare was forced to become lawful neutral instead... My DM rolled it not my fault!) It was immortal because Feldan was...

Incubi Armor - Cursed item - Lesser Artifact - Shifted alignment to Chaotic Evil (Negated by The Sunderer - Again) Allowed its wearer to drain levels as a special attack at the cost of sacrificing an innocent daily to keep the ability active - This was NEVER used. Various abilities allowed him to use charm effects and made him immune to the charm effects of other demons (Thus negating the Unnamed ring and allowing himself to be his own master again except against the Lesser Herald but she eventually fell under his sway as well...) Allowed him to dominate one creature completely. (He used this on the Lesser Herald of Shami-Amourae and succeeded! Just barely! It didn't completely dominate her but she was much MUCH friendlier. A little DM Fiat as he was pissed I was SOOOOOO freaking powerful.) He used the charm abilities to coerce other nation leaders into following him. Including the High Priestess of Aphrodite's religion, who he kept under a near permanent charm effect as she set up a temple inside his main fortress. The Sunderer didn't care about religion and seemed pleased with the constant battle for balance between the cults thus Feldan got away with it.

Final Explanation

Despite the godlike success I had in his campaign, I was one among many players who did very well. However I worked Overtime to find a way to counteract the problems with my curse and through sheer luck I pulled it off. One of the cursed items he rolled up On The SPOT! I was sweating bullets.

So I dread certain things only in a figurative sense, I love looking back on the fun times we had. Especially when we played drunk or stoned. Granted I was and will always be sober. I have had two sips in my life. One with my DM Brett and once at my wedding, beer or alcohol is just not my taste. Getting stoned wasn't something I wanted either so I would leave and come back in about half an hour when they were tosted and most of the time mess with them. But gaming with them in that state was equal parts frustrating and BA! So much creative thinking.

However Feldan was such a major headache, I never knew what to expect, I constantly had to replace my gear it seemed. Meaning he owed many a person favors and I only ever got it back towards the end when he Dominated the Herald but by then it was all rubbish. Couldn't wear any different armor because the Incubi Armor was cursed, no wielding other weapons because The Sunderer would eat them. It sucked but it was rad at the same time.

One other thing the Sunderer did looking at my notes was it made Feldan Sterile. No kids so long as he wielded it. So his bloodline effectively ended with him if someone destroyed The Sunderer and Killed him in the same day/time.

But just the headache at the time. Seriously it was hard at times to keep going but I somehow survived and in the end became a massive thorn in my Buddy Dm's side lol! xD What added to it was controlling three characters at once a lot of times. Unless Feldan was kidnapped again.... Then I just had two...

(Torak was originally another players that I inherited lol ;) )
