Shinari:
The being stops walking, some few yards away from you and speaks, "You, son of light, are in the Realm of Dreams, the realm all mortals have visited but few experience as you are now. While your astral form wandered within your mind's eye at the edge of Dream, I drew you further within, so we would have a chance to speak. This is because there are things which must be spoken and the time for words dwindles with each passing moment in the mortal world."

Lune:
The being stops and holds out his hand, speaking gently, "Be at peace, daughter of light and dark, for no ill shall befall you here in this place within Dream's borders. Come forward, she who was and shall be Lune, and walk with me for but a moment, so that I may speak with you." The angelic being holds out his right hand.

And yes, you are alone in the dream sequence, hence why I have not specified you seeing anyone else.

Cold, unyielding stone is what you feel as you awaken from the darkness. You open your eyes and try to strain to clear the blur from your vision, but all you see is endless gleaming white. The smell of roses wafts through the air and you can begin to perceive a faint sound, like a faraway chorus. Your vision focuses as you stare at the ground, a white marble floor, trying to get your bearings.

Looking around, the entire place appears to be a temple carved from shining white stone, able to dwarf even the now-ruined temple in Kenabres several times over. The entire cathedral is filled with a faint white mist, obscuring some of the intricate details of the structure, but still allowing you to catch a glimpse of it's grandeur. The architecture is otherworldly and unlike anything that you have ever seen before: delicate twisting columns that scarcely seem able to hold up anything, much less the massive vaulted ceiling, seem to emerge from the floor itself as if grown from it. Giant windows made of some crystalline material filter in brilliant light into the already bright room.

Suddenly you hear footsteps, which echo seemingly into eternity. Turning your head to the right, you see a man dressed in flowing white and golden robes walking calmly towards you, holding a massive tome bound in some otherworldly metal in his left hand by his side. As he steps closer, you see that he is no man as his massive, owl-like grey wings come into view. His silvery hair blows in an unseen wind and his all-black eyes, which seem to twinkle as if filled with stars, are focused solely on you. Suddenly a voice, calm and serene, but teeming with some hidden power, echoes throughout the cathedral in some unknown language that you can somehow understand to those who speak Celestial, it is similar to it, almost like a more pure form of it, "So it has occurred as was foreseen... Welcome, child of Golarion."

And I am back after the post-holiday rush to get college re-rentry finalized and such! POST INBOUND!!!

You may put a request for one, of course.

And no, not at present, since she was helping people get to the stronghold. You will meet up eventually.

Massive wall of text awaiting player perusal in gameplay!

Korina summons a strange stony beast that pulses with light. The clumsy being manages to miss one of the squat demons. A miss! That might very well hit a Feebleminded table though! XD

Chi's bullet whizzes through the air and hits one of the Dretches in the arm, though the bullet doesn't go through thanks to the demon's resilient flesh. Hit for 4 damage!

Arae, upon seeing no demons chasing after Dhaunae, sprints across the battlefield and lunges at a Dretch not the one Chi hit[ooc], skewering it's throat with her blade. The demon gurgles on it's own blood before collapsing to the ground dead. [ooc]Downed one already!

Tryggve charges at a demon, raises his blade overhead, and swings in a downward arc, cleaving the Dretch's skull in twain. Another one downed!

Shinari and Lune both charge at the sole standing Dretch that Chi wounded. Shinari's sword rings as it slices through the air, disemboweling the disgusting demon, sending black, red, and a sickening orange-yellow gore to the ground. The Dretch wheels from the blow, about to fall over dead when Lune's claw slashes the beast across the face, gouging out one of the now-dead demons eyeballs, which is mounted on one of her claws.

Leaving no time to celebrate your victory, the ground begins to shake and disgorge demons into the streets from yet more rifts that tear open in the earth and the sky. The dragon and the balor lord clash above in the sky, scoring devastating blows against one another that would easily kill a lesser being.

Terendelev swoops at the Storm King, but her charge is cut short as the demon slices one of her wings with his massive sword, sending her crashing into the crowd, but not before she grabs him and takes him down with her.

As if the unfolding scene were not horrific enough, a rift begins to widen with a sickening tearing sound and a titanic demon seemingly made of molten lava, easily larger than the now-ruined cathedral of Kenabres, erupts from it at the far end of the plaza, reducing several buildings to ruins as it smashes into this world. The massive demons regards the world from flaming eyesockets and roars in rage, proceeding to go on a rampage.

As the is happening, Terendelev lies on the ground desperately trying to fend off the Storm King's ferocious assault, barely able to dodge his sword strikes at times.

Your attention snaps to the glowing rift the massive flaming demon came forth from, which begins pulsing with an intensifying frequency. Suddenly, it explodes and the terrain warps and ripples, portions of it disappearing or turning into some nightmarish substance. The ground at your feet the ground beneath the party in a massive 150 foot area disappears and you are sent hurtling into the darkness. Surely this is not how it is supposed to end?

As you fall, the dragon, laying near the edge of the pit, seems to notice your plight. Though she clearly knows that death looms over her, she seizes this final chance to save a few more souls. She utters a few arcane words, "Eriikal dim ma'aniis! and stretches out a bleeding talon. You feel her magic take hold of you, slowing your plummet into the darkness as if you were a feather falling into a pit. Yet the fall remains as inexorable, and as you drift downward into the depths, you see the Storm King standing triumphant over Terendelev, bringing his blade down on the ancient dragon's neck, cleaving her head from her body in a single, massive blow. Khorramzadeh lets out a roar of utter triumph as Terendelev's head falls into the pit.

The Storm King eyes you all, "Mark this, mortals, all of your kind shall share her fate for daring to defy the armies of the Abyss. Ruminate upon this in these, your last moments. Kronaak di'los saan veri kaas!"

As the Storm King utters these last words, the magic slowing your descent vanishes and you quickly fall. The ground above you seems to shudder and reappear, plunging you into darkness before you hit the ground, knocking you unconscious.

If you want a strange dream sequence thing, do so now! Otherwise, post that you are ready to advance as an ooc message!

Korina, all of the Advanced Bestiary material is allowed, assuming the template added is of appropriate level.

No worries about the healing, because there will be items available to compensate for these shortcomings.

The Dragon, Called Shots are allowed.

NOTE FOR ANYONE THREATENING A CRIT, GO AHEAD AND MAKE YOUR ROLLS IN GAMEPLAY!

Arae:
If the opening you experienced was a cutscene, then yes, it was likely the one listed in the book. I am not fond of 'you experienced these events, but just stood there like slackjawed, level one commoners while X happened' type scenarios, so I made it an interactive experience!

That is good, Korina, for surprises there will be!

You're welcome Tryggve. I didn't want to just try to be vague with you all, as the wait was my fault and I felt that everyone deserved to know the truth. You go, supertank!

Yes, but no higher than 10.

EDIT: The demons are 60 ft. away from the party. This encounter will be handled without a map, but I think we can all manage, right? :)

Thoughts on my beefed-up intro? I know you must be surprised by this turn of events, Korina, since you run your own Wrath of the Righteous campaign now. Keep any spoilers in PM form, of course. :)

Dhaunae gathers the children and the elderly, leading them to the stronghold, trailing behind the scarred Crusader who led a sizable chunk of the crowd.

Before anyone else can respond, a massive cataract of flame appears before the cathedral and a terrible figure strides forth from it, a demonic figure some three times the height of any man, it's deep black-red skin covered in flames and brilliant lightning the color of blood. Massive bat-like wings unfurl from the figure's back and it steps forward, carrying a sword and a whip covered in the same energies that wreathe it's body. It looks down at the crowd with a terrible, horned visage devoid of any goodness whatsoever, speaking in a resonant voice that shakes the air as it speaks, "You thought your little toys would save you, didn't you, feeble mortals? You thought that your Wardstones could save you from your inevitable doom? All they ever accomplished, all they could EVER accomplish, was to delay the destruction of your world. Now their magics fail you, even as your pitiful gods do. The Abyss will not be denied it's due!"

The demon swings it's mighty blade in the air and appears to 'cut' distortions in reality throughout the city in all directions, massive rifts of fire and lightning from which disgorge hordes of nightmarish demons, the likes of which you have never seen.

The beast chuckles, a terrible sound to hear, "Chaos shall reign unto eternity and your world will be devoured by the Abyss. Weep mortals, for the peace of death shall be denied you, your souls the spoils of war that shall bolster our infinite armies. Bow before Khorramzadeh the Storm King and offer your souls to me as tribute!"

With that, the Storm King swings his fiery blade, which comes straight for you the group. Before the fatal blow can be struck, one of the guards around the platform leaps and turns into a massive silver dragon mid-jump, grabbing the Storm King and crashing through the cathedral, shattering the massive stone building like a child's toy. There is no doubt about it, that dragon must be Terendelev, the draconic protector of Kenabres and one of the staunchest allies of the forces of good this world has seen!

A horde of fat and squat demons with oversized ears, looking like pudgy, demonic Goblins with spindly, clawed limbs, has a few of its members break off and head your direction! Number of Demons Rushing Towards the Party: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Block Initiatives- Party and Demons: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 191d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Party goes first!

Shinari, note that Dhaunae has helped the young, sick, and elderly to the stronghold, so she will be absent the events. However, you recieve +1 Victory Point and +1 Crusade Strength for doing so! These are important for later events I have planned, so good work!

Korina, forgot to mention that to you, but you gained +1 to each of those as well for rallying the populace to escape before the chaos happens!

Knowledge: The Planes DC10:
These demons are Dretches, one of the lowest forms of demonic life used as fodder by other demons. While they could easily tear apart a normal person, they only pose a threat to seasoned warriors in numbers.

Shinari, Tryggve, and Arae? When you three post, we shall continue!

Korina's words reaches a few soldiers, which help evacuate the civilians. A grizzled and scarred Crusader missing his left eye yells to the crowd, "Well, you heard the lass, follow me to the stronghold! Stay close and don't dally now!" He pushes towards the stronghold, with a sizable chunk of the crowd following him.

Knowledge: Local or Nobility:
The scarred man is Knight Commander Verric Jhane, one of the commanders of the Low Templars. Despite his brutality and his rough-and-tumble lifestyle, he is one of the best soldiers in all the Crusade and should do a fine job in keeping most of the crowd safe.

Chi_, I am sorry to hear of your own loss. Your advice is sagely indeed.

Lune, call me George? What am I, a monkey?! :P I jest of course. Thanks for the thought though! XD

Thanks Lune. I didn't really want to go and do a whole pity party thing on the messageboards, but I felt it prudent for people to know. Holidays are just a rough time, especially this year.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

We are officially starting the campaign now!

Sorry for yet another delay, everyone. I've been dealing with something that I really did not want to tell everyone, but that I feel everyone must know if they are to understand my recent lack of posting. In my past, I knew a rather lovely girl (We were all boys and girls back then, as is typical in high school. Very few people could honestly call themselves adults!), whom I loved more than almost anything. She was quite special to me, more than any family and friends I had, and shamed all the wonders of the world with her smile. Well, she died before high school was over, taken by complications from a car wreck. In all the years since then, I have tried to bury the memory of her by ignoring the pain that I was feeling. But, recently, I came across something of hers and all the pain I was holding hit me at once. I cried for nearly two hours before I finally stopped, the ceasing of those tears something that I thank my simian friend Monkeygod for, because he helped talk me through it. I have been in an emotional slump since then and haven't really done much of anything. I have overcome the pain now, by making it my own and using it in remembrance of her rather than ignoring it and trying to forget all the things that I loved about her. I have decided to honor her memory and stop living in a past which no longer is and hoping for a future that never will be and simply accept that things are what they are.

The above is a very simplified version of the events, but if you need to know more, just ask.

We should be able to get this campaign started in earnest now!

The sound of church bells ring through the air loud and clear, bringing the exuberant crowd to a moment of respectful silence. The doors to the cathedral open and Lord Hulrun, High Inquisitor of Iomedae, steps out with his honor guard. His aged face, though kindly, bears the scars of his many years of service. He is dressed in a white, blue, and gold clerical garb bearing the Sword Cross of Iomedae, his mantle flowing over gleaming plate armor of finest steel as he moves. He steps forward, arms outstretched, "People of Kenabres! Lords and ladies from all the realm! Crusaders and Templars! This is truly a blessed day, for...". Before Lord Harun can say more, a bright light shines from the west, as if the sun were rising from the wrong direction. Hulrun’s shadow falls huge and distorted across the cathedral’s facade, as he stares in disbelief towards the west. A moment later, the sound of a thunderous explosion rips through the air and earth, along with a violent tremor that sends many to the ground.

You look to the west, the fortress known as the Kite—the location of Kenabres’s wardstone—had vanished. In its place, a brilliant plume of fire, red lightning, and smoke erupts into the heavens. The sound of screams begins in the crowd.

Take a moment to react and the scene will progress.

Korina, it is no problem, trust me! :P

The Dragon, Shinari is correct, I tailor the loot to the individual PCs and throw in some randomly-generated knicknacks as well! Also, let me look up what you are asking regarding racial points.

I will post later!

Also, I may be absent on the 29th and 30th, due to the Magic the Gathering tournament in Atlanta, but I am unsure of whether I will be going. I will let all of you know, in any case.

Looking forward to it!

I will inquire for your, Korina!

Arae and Shinari, go introduce yourselves in gameplay! I'm ready to get this campaign started in earnest!

Korlina and Tryggve, glad you two rejoined!

Yes, that would be great!

I figured they would see the posts. Do you think that is sufficient? The only one I actually messaged was Simmons, because I believe he had mentioned something about a thread-following issue at one point (Or maybe that was another PC? I think it was him,).

One to two characters incoming soon! Haven't heard from the others, so I am assuming they dropped.

ANYONE ELSE?! STEP FORWARD, FEEBLE ONES, OR TASTE ANARCHY'S... ANARCHIC POWER!!!

Posting to deactivate the 'inactive' status! Look for posts soon, as cheesy as it sounds! :)

So, is there a new game? Is everyone still here? Can anyone not picture a Quasit doing the Futterwhacken?!

Back! I will be looking through my massive backlog of posts that has been building since I left because of my health concerns. Just to give everyone perspective, my sugar is staying more stable and, since I don't have to eat as much, my insulin and blood pressure levels are regulating.

I AM BACK!

The festival continues onward for another hour or so before everyone sees mounted knights riding slowly through the crowd and shouting out, "Hear ye, hear ye citizens of Kenabres! Within the hour the honorable Lord Hulrun, governor of this shining city, shall give give his speech and Arnasse can truly begin in earnest! Everyone, make your way to the cathedral to receive the Lord Inquisitor's blessing for the days to come!"

Yes, Echoes of the Sephira is a gestalt mythic campaign here on the PBP boards where PCs eventually become gods. Everyone starts at level 17 with 3 mythic ranks and may play as creatures and/or use templates. RVT and I brainstormed it, though she was the first to put up a recruitment and had her storyline finished before I could finish mine lol. It's a planes-spanning, world-shattering epic the likes of which have been almost unheard of on the messageboards.

Post will be up tomorrow, barring any more vexing interruptions lol.

Also, Korina, RVT has stated she is almost ready to return she said one of you PM'd her and got a reply. She said upon her return she would be running a campaign like Spooks: Welcome to the Great Beyond in Pathfinder form. I've already claimed a slot in advance by putting on the pouty manface lol!

I'm back everyone!

This is a general announcement for everyone in one of my campaigns or recruitment.

The screen on my phone was shattered, which has prevented me from posting in the past like week because I have not been able to scroll down a webpage with a cracked screen. I took a picture of my phone with a friends phone, so if anyone is interested in me verifying that it was a real problem, I can post it and provide a link. I know it's not necessary, but I don't like just telling people that there is a problem without offering some sort of proof. I feel it helps you all to trust that I tell the truth, since some people are compulsive GM-slackers.

I SHOULD be good on posting until around September 2nd, when I go to the endocrinologist for my appointment. Obviously on Thursdays I will not be posting, but that had already been mentioned.

I will be working through my discussions and recruitments todays, so I will not be posting until tomorrow.

WOTR PEOPLE! I was curious why no one replied to the post, now I figure out it it never actually posted! Second campaign that happened to before the phone incident (Second one in a month's time, if I recall!). SOON YOU SHALL FACE THE UNENDING LEGIONS UNDER MY COMMAND, MORTALS! SOON SHALL YOU TASTE THE MIGHT OF THE MASTER OF THE ABYSS!

Just so everyone knows, I lost my phone, which I have now found!

Sorry for the somewhat off start with my posting schedule! Losing a phone after days of family reunions, surprise parties, and everything else is not the way I want to make an impression on players! :/

I will post later! Friday my cousin was down and we had a huge family reunion, complete with requisite drama, and Saturday my friends threw me a surprise party to cheer me up with all that's been going on. Sorry for being an absent GM lately! Trust the Master of the Abyss... you can always trust a CE Outsider! :P

ZEITGEIST RECRUITMENT IS UP!

After a long day of very little sleep and entertaining my cousin, her fiance, and her newborn, I'm about to cash in for the night.

I am working on detailing the campaign world for everyone! Hopefully I will have the docs up by tonight! I've been working on this setting for my upcoming 3PP, so that's why it's going to be in google docs rather than the boards, because of the 'Paizo llc owns all rights to any material posted on the messageboards, blah, blah,'.

Hey there, other people I know! :)

Also, votes on gestalt and/or mythic?

LIST OF AVAILABLE RACES, REQUESTS ALLOWED

1. Blues- Psionic goblinoids with blue skin, enough said!

2. Dromite- Small insectoid people divided from birth into castes based on their innate energy.

3. Duergars- Dwarves who delved too deep into the earth and awakened an Old God, whom they now labor to keep asleep.

4. Elans- Humans who are transformed though a psionic procedure to become psionically attuned.

5. Half-Giants- The name says it all!

6. Maenads- Sea-faring humanoids with crystal dust-studded skin and tempestuous emotions they hide under a veeneer of calm.

8. Xephs- Psionic humanoids fleet of foot and quick of wit with a huge sense of wanderlust.

9. Forgeborn- Humanoids 'repaired' from near-death by psionically fusing metal, stone, or crystal with their dying flesh.

10. Norals- Stocky humanoids with strong powers of empathy who typically undergo symbiosis with strange creature called an Erliss, which fuses with their head and augments their psionic powers.

11. Thallasic Asrais- Psionic amphibious sea elves whose skin is supernaturally cold to the touch.

12. Cavians- Psionic rat people with a racial hivemind of sorts.

13. Star Crystal Synthetics- Synthetic lifeform made of levitating psionic crystal and strange metallic circuits. WARNING: selecting this race will forfeit the first level of one half of your gestalt, because of the various powers you gain! And I will only allow ONE of these in a group because there are only a handful in the entire campaign setting.

14. Half-Phrenics- A humanoid who survived implantation by a Phrenic Scourge, but emerged... changed. WARNING: selecting this race will force you to take part of the 5 level racial class! And I will only allow ONE of these in a group because there are only a handful in the entire campaign setting.

15. Lashuntas- See the Pathfinder SRD description!

16. Androids- See the Pathfinder SRD description!

17. Fluxminxes- Humanoids genetically created to be natural shapeshifters. Their bodies are silicate-based and can assume the form of nearly any similarly sized creature.

18. Softlings- Humanoids genetically created to be empathic healers. The radiant ectoplasm that is their blood can faintly be seen beneath their blue skin, flaring as they use their healing powers.

19. Khymer- Sentient pools of blood created from the mass deaths of hundreds or thousands of people. Strangely non-evil almost as a whole, these creatures must inhabit the bodies of the dead or else they risk drying up and dying a permanent death.

20. Athenians- An all-female psionic races of warrior women who reproduce by cloning themselves within room-sized 'wombs' of psionic crystal.

21. Charioteers- The mysterious and nearly extinct race that arrived from the stars and brought technology to the world (Think the Egyptian-like people from the first Stargate movie!).

22. Crystalids- Living creatures made of psionic crystal who first taught humans how to utilize psionics and crystal technology during the Age of Awakening.

23. Futureborns- Creatures from the distant future who were propelled to the present by some unknown catastrophe which also stripped them of most of their memories. They have an uncanny sense of time and are completely ageless.

24. Mantids- Insect-like humanoids who are the more sophisticated cousins of the Dromites. They are a cultured, yet expansionist culture that is a study in contradictions.

25. Agraukiths- A slave race created and forgotten by the Mantids, they are a simple race of anthropomorphic beetles who are hunters and have colorful wings they can flap rapidly to produce colorful, hypnotic patterns.

26. Igran-Kriders- Bioluminescent humanoid keepers of hidden lore from the twisting tunnels that run beneath the earth.

27. Xiirs- Serpentine progenitors of the Ophiduans, the Xiir were once masters of psionics, but war and inbreeding almost wiped their race to extinction. They can utilize their chosen disciplines in interesting and unheard of ways. WARNING: If you choose this race, you MUST have it as one half of your gestalt for several levels and the other half as a Psion with a Discipline other than Generalist!

28. Enlighteneds- Psionic humanoids who resemble the classic 'Grey' aliens. The race is mute, but has telepathy and can temporarily turn into pure thought for a few minutes a day.

29. Coalescent Swarms- Sentient hivemind formed by a swarm of creatures that can form a roughly humanoid shape. WARNING: You must take the 10 level Coalescent racial class on one side of your gestalt!

30. Ceptus- Human-sized race of hyper-intelligent jellyfish with powerful telekinetic powers.

31. Hazes- Strange humanoids who 'see' with their specialized minds, have telepathy, and must subsist on blood. They believe servitude is a sacred duty and treat it with the utmost seriousness.

32. Silvers- Alien humanoids with metallic bodies that must subsist on metallic compounds. Their brain is hardwired towards selfish behavior and they are powerful wielders of magic.

33. Zifs- Psionic snail people with a hatred for the servants of the Old Gods.

34. Thri-Kreens- Four armed psionic mantis people from the desert lands with a culture based around skill with weapons, particularly mindblades.

35. Synads- An offshoot of the human raceborn with three minds which allow for a great deal of multitasking and information retention.

36. Githyankis- Warlike humanoids that were former slaves of a mysterious race said to be related to the Phrenic Hegemony.

37. Githzerais- Monastic cousins to the Githyanki, who share a racial grudge against each other.

38. Kalashtars- Human-like beings with ties to the Plane of Dreams, who have a dual spirit.

39. The Inspired- The dark reflections of the Kalashtar, whose unnaturally beautiful bodies are filled with dark spirits from the Plane of Dreams, who may or may not be willing to aid the mortal races depending on their individual personalities.

Cartmanbeck, only 1 FCB.

Cartmanbeck, no restrictions on class combinations. I wouldn't even care if someone was a Synthesist Summoner/Paladin godmodder lol. So long as it makes sense with your background, it doesn't matter. That is, don't use the above combination if you have been living a life of thieving and murdering as a cruel pirate lord up until the campaign begins. That much is just good character building 101.

Once my cousin leaves from her visit, I will get recruitment up.

Ed, if you have an idea of a focused type of gun combat, let me know. I have access to classes like Sniper from some 3PP books.

Thanks Ed! The recruitment will be up later!

I know, but since we haven't started combat yet, I'm amenable to tweaks to characters.

Talk amongst yourselves. I'm on my way to game night, so I will just be lurking in discussions and such today.

Oh and Korina, go to my Google Docs, look in the WotW folder and I think the file is Book of Villainous Things Part 1 (I THINK!). There's a cool Lovecraftian Summoner archetype with some really cool mutations. I figured you would be interested.

Gameplay post is FINALLY up! Take the time to introduce yourselves and RP a bit. Once everyone has had their fill, Lord Hulruun will give his speech and the campaign shall begin in earnest! :)

For decades, demons have ruled the Worldwound. Fearsome fiends of every stripe—their mottled skin harder than iron, teeth like serrated blades, and eyes burning with Abyssal flames—roam the ruined lands that were once known as Sarkoris, leaving their mark wherever they go. Four crusades have attempted to cleanse the land, but each seems to meet a worse fate than the last. Were it not for the line of magical wardstones along the eastern and southern borders, the demons would have long ago overrun northcentral Avistan and beyond.

The Fourth Crusade hasn’t really ended as much as petered out, yet some refuse to accept that. Amid crippling shortages and record lows in morale among the crusaders, the Mendevian war effort teeters on the brink of collapse. Though the demonic occupation of the Worldwound is growing, as is corruption among the crusaders, a dwindling minority of paladins and priests maintain that the Fourth Crusade is still vibrant and alive, and that the turning point in the war is only a few days away.

The Fourth Crusade is anything but vibrant, but the crusaders are more right than they know about the approaching turning point in the war. It’s just that the turning point is likely destined to favor the Abyss. With the Fourth Crusade worn down and their resistance faltering, it seems in only a few years the demons will overrun Avistan and bring about the doom that so many rulers have tried to ignore.

But all hope is not lost, for in the city of Kenabres, one of the last bastions of civilization before the seething corruption of the Worldwound, a group of unknowing heroes stir, their souls burning brightly in the darkness. Though the Fourth Crusade is in its last, dying moments, these heroes will arise to combat the darkness... unlikely heroes chosen by fate to be the vanguard of the forces of light. Whether they succeed and stand as the saviors of Avistan and Golarion itself or die and join the fields formed from the copses of slain crusaders, this is their story... the story of the Fifth Crusade.

Details on this day in which the story begins! For several weeks, excitement has been building in Kenabres... Armasse is coming! Traditionally an opportunity for scholars and priests to come together to study the lessons of history from wars past, since Aroden’s death, this holy day has become more about training commoners in weaponry, choosing squires, and ordaining new priests.

Over time, Armasse has grown to encompass jousting competitions, mock duels, battle reenactments, and other festival events. In Kenabres, the festival (which takes place on 16 Arodus) is eagerly anticipated, for it provides distractions from the horrors of being on the front line of the war. Smiles on faces normally marred by downcast eyes and furrowed brows do wonders for city morale in the weeks leading up to the event.

Armasse is a citywide celebration, but the majority of the event, including its jousting matches and other entertainments, takes place at Clydwell Plaza, just west of the cathedral.

Introduce yourselves and RP what you are doing. Once everyone is acquainted, we will begin the story in earnest!

Xentik, yes they will be essentially the same as here, with maybe a few changes. It's safe to say that you could start building a character and only have to worry about minimal changes.

Tirion, I will keep you in mind. And Kentik is correct... it's basically Pathfinder with a magitek steampunk feel. You're missing out! :)

After I finish going through all of my campaigns and doing logistics on my concept of the one-stop nerd shop, I will put up recruitment. Going through PMs and discussions right now before posting gameplay stuff!

Campaign: Razor Coast 1-10, Zeitgeist 11-20: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Zeitgeist it is! I couldn't decide on my own, because I did not want to disappoint a particular group. So, I put it up for the fickle whims of the Paizo diceroller to decide!

Everyone, I will have a recruitment up by 24 hours and 6 minutes into the future!

I'm back! Give me time to finish my supper and GAMEPLAY SHALL FALL TO MY ABYSSAL MIGHT!

So... any more ideas or is everyone ready for me to select an AP? :)

Given how close the race is, let me see a short (About a paragraph-long,) blurb from everyone on what sort of character concept they have. This may push the decision in a given direction.

What about earlier posts? I am curious of the complete total.

Can I get a tally on votes, please?
