Well...just got off the phone with Lori from the College physicians group. The patient insurance representative just got back to her and they resubmitted the bill under diagnostic testing, like it was supposed to have been filed in the first place, so as soon as they receive their payment from UMR they will send me a new bill with my 20% portion that I owe.

It only took a couple months of arguing with them to get it resolved, but it's done. And I didn't even have to threaten anyone this time...well, barely. Lol

They let my mom go home without even telling her the results of the last test they did or if they even found anything. She sees her dr again on monday. Donna and I both told her that she needs to ask for a referral to a real GI doc or a GI clinic here in Little Rock. They didn't even have a GI doc taking care of her in the hospital. He was just a general surgeon.

You realize though that your blindness didn't make you who you are, your spirit and perseverance did that. Even though you're getting your sight back, it doesn't change who you are or what you're capable of. Never forget that.

I was trying to make fried rice and was getting the eggs out of fridge, but for some reason my arm jerked and two eggs ended up flying right outta the carton and onto the floor....*sigh*

It's just another perspective. Like people that go through stuff are just like other people, but because they process stuff differently they're usually called crazy and looked down on. It was a little weird, but I thought it had a good message.

Yeah....there was that too. I don't like thinking of people as broken though, some of us just have different thought processes. Saying people are broken implies that they need to be fixed, and while in some cases that might at least partly true....most of the time they just need to feel like someone is really hearing them and understand what they're going through.

Sometimes I feel like maybe there's something wrong with me because of how unfocused I've been...but, Henry keeps telling me that I'm okay. Sometimes though, no matter how many times someone says it...you just don't feel it. Retrospectively if I really look at things, everything I'm feeling can be explained and maybe I am expecting too much of myself...I don't know.

I had been smoking since I was 17 years old, with a couple of breaks over the years. The longest one lasting for a little over a year before I went back to it and that was because I came back to Arkansas that first time to take care of my Grandmother when she became ill because apparently none of the people who actually lived out here were capable of doing so.

I just decided after Christmas that I was gonna be done with it. That with the brain surgery thing, and then this whole we're gonna really try to get pregnant thing....I just knew that if I was really serious about trying to do this whole baby thing that I was gonna have to give them up. Plus when I was getting really stressed out I was starting to feel actually tingling sensations inside my brain...which might sound a little crazy, but I did. I got very lucky with my brain bleed, in that there was already a pre-existing cyst for the blood to go into. If it hadn't been for that cyst...I might not be here right now. I just wanted to give myself the best chance possible and I felt that to do that I just needed to stop. But as Henry pointed out, in actuality it's only been a little over a month since I quit and those chemicals and crap they pump into those things to make them so addictive are still getting out of my system which is why I'm feeling a lot of the things I'm feeling.

So, even though I may feel at times like there's something wrong with me, there's really not. I'm not messed up or anything, I'm okay.

You're right, though, broken isn't really the right term. We're all imperfect. The perfect person for each of us is somone whose imperfections complement our own.

My wife's definition of perfect is "just the right amount of imperfection"

Thanks, both of you. To be fair, there is plenty of stuff going on that has my mind going 90 to nothing. I just feel like if I'm relaxing I'm wasting time or something. I've been home all day and all I've managed to do is vacuume, drop two eggs on the floor, and take a shower. Lol

If I can get through Cindy and all her b&&*@%!% during my two weeks of hell up there in the great North Country and not go back to smoking cigs, I'm pretty sure that nothing will make me go back to it. I just...don't want to. Even though my body is reacting to lack of nicotine and chemicals, I am personally determined not to start up again. I think it's one of the reasons I feel so antsy and anxious right now. Maybe if the weather is nice tomorrow we can go walking. I still need daylight, even if in small doses. I've been a "night" person for so long, I'm not used to it anymore. Lol
