Charm (DC 17):A witch can charm an animal or humanoid creature within 30 feet by beckoning and speaking soothing words.

This improves the attitude of an animal or humanoid creature by 1 step, as if the witch had successfully used the Diplomacy skill. The effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to the Witch’s Intelligence modifier. A Will save negates this effect. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day. At 8th level, this effect improves the attitude of the target creature by 2 steps. This is a mind-affecting charm effect.

Flight: At 1st level, the witch can use feather fall at will and gains a +4 racial bonus on Swim checks. At 3rd level, she can cast levitate once per day. At 5th level, she can fly, as per the spell, for a number of minutes per day equal to her level. These minutes do not need to be consecutive, but they must be spent in 1-minute increments. This hex only affects the witch.

Background:

Born to a low-class family, Christophe ("Chris" to his friends) Debroux knew about suffering and wanting. Despite their poverty, his parents made a living operating a rural apothecary near Midra, serving those who lived on the fringes of society. When his sister was born, Christophe was old enough to start making trips to the more difficult areas instead of his parents. The young man learned about the world and different people as he traveled.
One day, he came upon a fox that seemed to be watching him. Wherever he walked, the fox would follow, always watching with clever eyes. Christophe realized it wasn't just an ordinary fox and attempted to make friends with it. At first, it would keep its distance, even when Christophe had food. Gradually, the fox became accustomed to the young man and would come close.
His family laughed at Christophe's pet, but made no fuss when he declared that he was keeping it. The fox, whom he called Renard, followed Christophe as he made his rounds, tending to the old and infirm. He cooked and tended to their wounds happily. Soon, he had saved enough money to open a shop in Midra proper, though it was a logging town, and give his parents and sister a new home.
In his spare time, Christophe devoted himself to his education and learning more about the world. He was very studious, the experiences in the wild supplementing what he learned from books. Soon, he devoted himself to alchemy, creating potions and poultices that would work just as well as standard healing procedures.
One day, Renard looked at him differently, appraising him. Then he heard a voice...but Christophe couldn't place it. The voice offered him greater abilities to heal others if the young man was willing to listen. Christophe listened intently for three days, realizing that he was no mere healer, but a witch.
Christophe was afraid, being a witch wasn't exactly held in high esteem. But the magic at his fingertips and the greater expertise in alchemy were too good to just cast away. Renard was his familiar, communing with him and granting him greater and greater magic.
He didn't want to put his family in danger, so Christophe became a roving physician. He left them with enough money to see themselves through for a while and used the rest to buy supplies to keep himself comfortable. He set off from Midra and did what he knew best, hiding the fact that he was a witch from others. He posed as a cleric or a sorcerer whenever the situation called for it.
Life was good to him and he developed a cultured personality, seeing such places as Polaris. Then one day, he answered a notice on a bulletin board. It seemed someone needed healing immediately. He headed off...then forgot what happened next.
