After everything I've dealt with today I think I'm pretty stinkin' worn out. I think I deserve a warm snack of some sort involving cheese, and my nice warm bed. Having trouble relaxing today.

yeah...just a little space. And it was only just a very small amount of cheese sauce with a few tortilla chips. Getting ready to brush the ol' chompers and climb into the bed. Am feelin fairly worn out.

Well, we're back. I guess I'll see about making dinner. Found a birthday card for mom since her birthday is on the 14th. We walked around a couple different places, but I can only do that for so long before people start getting on my nerves. It's too cold right now though to go to our usual spots to go walking, especially late in the afternoons and when we're getting over having colds.

I've talked to my mom and my sister. Mom says she feels okay, but they are still running tests. Took her for a CT of her spine today and won't know anything about that until tomorrow morning when the doctor comes in. In the meantime the doctor is checking all the regular medications, including over the counter stuff and vitamins, to make sure there's nothing there interacting with each other to create a problem. They gave her something to stop the bleeding and her blood work has come back okay, so we're good there. Just gotta wait on the CT scan to see if the bone fragment in her back has shifted.

I just don't want them to be too quick to send her home and then have something else happen. My sister feels pretty confident that they're looking at everything they can for now and covering all the bases...so, we're just waiting now. Her Dr is a pretty decent guy too and not a complete dumbass, so I trust that if he thinks she's okay to go home then it's okay. Sorry for the babbling, I've just got a lot on my mind right now and I'm trying to sort it all out.

I think Henry and I should try to sit down and watch Flash Gordon tonight, since he got it for me for our anniversary. *looks coyly over at boobear*

Not babbling at all just processing aloud which is always a good thing. Good to see that so far it seems to be better than anticipated. Here's hoping the fragment hasn't shifted.

Mom just called me. The CT came back okay, but for some reason she's still losing blood and they can't figure out why. The CT showed some diverticulitis, but it's not really inflamed or anything. Her blood cell count is starting to drop though and they are going to give her a unit of blood today, as well as do a scope to try and figure out where the bleeding is coming from. Of course mom says she feels fine. I wouldn't worry so much if she hadn't said the same thing after she fractured her spine and didn't even know it. Will wait and see what these tests say before doing anything.

I really feel like I need more sleep, but my head is pounding right now and I'm hurting. I just took 2 naproxen though with my antibiotic like an hour and a half ago so....I can't really do much else about it. I just don't feel very well right now. I haven't eaten anything......but, I don't think I can right now.

Yeah....I'm workin' my way towards that kinda slowly. If I want anything I take to work without causing a stomach bleed, I know I need to put something in there.

Alrighty, almost time for Flash. I've tried everything else, maybe I'll try warming up the apartment and soaking in a warm bath with epsom salts. I don't know, maybe just a hot shower?

They couldn't see anything with the scope, so now they want to do a colonoscopy but put it off till thursday....

She's already been NPO all day, and only clear liquids since sunday, full liquid since yesterday. It would be better and less stressful on my almost 81 year old mother if they could just do it tomorrow....I don't know, I just want them to tell us why she keeps bleeding and where it's coming from.

Oh my gosh, OH my Gosh, OH MY GOSH!!!! YOu'll never believe what just happened. I just got a call from a william at LA Fitness in North Little Rock asking me to come down tomorrow to meet with him about positions they might have available for me. Either there or at one of their gyms in Little Rock...but at any rate it's the first place that called me for an interview and if I get a job working with them, it comes with a free gym membership....

Wow....I really said I wanted change and this is change. I won't have to be lifting up 400 to 500 pound patients. And if I get the job and something better comes along later I can always switch. I've applied for clerical positions with different clinics, as well as a CNA at a pediatric facility for developmentally and physically challenged children. I'm just sooo excited right now.

What do you mean 'if' you'll get the job? I have absolute faith that you'll kill in the interview and get it.

It's cool....man I still have to vacuum and stuff too. I was gonna do it after lunch and got distracted by that call, then calling everyone to let them know about the call. I'm gonna do my best tomorrow and show them just how interpersonal I can be. Hehehe

I"m trying to get stuff done and the dog just wants to crawl up into my lap. I'm having a salad before starting work on dinner. I also have to go through my closet and try to figure out what to wear to this thing tomorrow.

I still need to get the vacuuming done so I can put my exercise mats back on the floor. I still need to do them for my back so it doesn't stiffen back up.

I got a second interview. He's gonna call me tomorrow or Monday to set it up. Thinking about putting me with their Kids Klub or Front Desk for opening. I'm sooooo excited.

*blushing* Golly, thanks for that. And I don't mean that sarcastically, the support means a lot to me. It was really hard for me to go down there where all the pretty people work. I'm very.....self conscious and a gym is like way outside my comfort zone....but I did say I needed to make changes....well, working at a gym would be a big change.

I want to challenge myself and grow as a person and I can't do that by staying inside my little safety net.

Well....I learned something very important tonight. I can't use anything on my face to remove make up or otherwise, unless it specifically says "For Sensitive Skin". Otherwise my face looks like it suffers from chemical burns. I guess I'm gonna be giving those face wipes to my nieces.

In other news, they didn't get very far with Mom's colonoscopy today. I was talking to mom and she said that there was something 'kinked off' or 'blocking' the way of the scope.....so, tomorrow they are gonna have to do a barium enema and try to see if they can tell where the fluid is going. This may be part of the cause for her problems. I don't know, but they're keeping her until they can figure it out even though dad wanted her to go home like yesterday. I talked to him and explained that as far as they live away from the hospital that it's important that they figure out what's going on before they send her home...otherwise, things go really bad really fast.
