I will say yes on a case by case basis, usually in favor of. This one I am certainly good with, Modulok. Lots of good RP potential too!

Okay, cool. I was hoping you would see it my way! Submission is almost finished. I should have it up by tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Here is my submission.

Just wanted to mention that if I'm wowed by enough submissions, I will close the recruiting before the 18th.

Thanks for the heads-up. Working on an inquisitor.

My submission is complete!

Myles Rood

Hi, just stating that I plan on submitting an Oread monk before the deadline. I'm familiar with the campaign, but I've never played (or read) it.

May I present Rani Doompalm, come from nothing to the road to greatness?

This character was made for another campaign that I did not get into.
I've changed it to match your needs.

Points to note: He has both Urban and Wilderness experiences in his background, hope that is sufficient to justify his traits. Rani is not min-maxed for combat, but is good for taking care of himself in many situations. The item he got from his past was deliberately left open to be used as a hook, also sightly modified the details of the trait to match his background; I can flesh it out if desired. Given all his travels and travails Rani could have met just about anyone, should be easy to make a connection to someone.

If GM Tempest, you have any questions or comments, or need any adjustments, please let me know.

Noted. Thanks for letting me know!

I've only read the first book, so I'm not too far into the game, but I am really interested in it.

Yeah that's fine. I don't have a problem with that.

I have an UnMonk that I'm working on. I should be able to submit him today.

Updated list...

Chakam – Suli Enlightened Paladin
Ria Torent – Undine Hydrokineticist
Shaleed Livefree – Halfling Alchemist
Loran Farseer – Halfling Solar Sorcerer
Ilper’aja – Ifrit Fighter (Archer)
Uzma Mahdi Al Kalid – Human Desert Druid
Rafyyk Halfmoon – Half-Orc Lunar Oracle
Bygone – Vanaran Cleric
Myles Rood – Human Counterfeit Mage (Rogue)
Rani Doompalm – Human Diviner (Wizard)

AGamer70 – working on an Inquisitor
Andostre – working on Oread Monk
Chapel36 – working on Unchained Monk

I have the crunch ready, the flavor will be up in a little while.

Flavor is done.

Weird thing happened too.

I had written out a complete backstory about being a merchants son in Katapesh and wanting to travel when I scrapped the entire thing and went with this one.

I like it. How did you come to Katapesh though, and in particular Solku?

Here he is.

Um... also an Unchained monk!

Everything on Anovat is done, although I'm still working my way through Dark Markets. If anything in there seems especially appropriate, I may change something in the backstory. If anything major changes, I'll let you know.

The campaign trait I took states that after joining the Pathfinders "Your first assignment is to accompany Garavel’s group" so I kinda figured it was a matter of Nishv sort of being from the area so they sent him thinking it could be an easy first mission.

Interesting tidbit, the boy at the end of the back story, Rasul, is my Paladin Character from wrath of the Righteous as a boy.

I got really attached to the character and barely got to play him.

Gotcha.

I wanted to leave it just vague enough to tie into other PCs if chosen. I mentioned in the backstory that he was on his way to Solku but didn't say how far off or when this was.

My submission: Redeemed, Human Oracle of Flame.

I briefly used this character in a LoF game whose DM quickly dropped out; please see this profile for character details and let me know if the concept is something you'd be willing to consider. If so I'll edit crunch to fit your guidelines (5 less stat buy; drop the drawback, one trait, and background skills; review equipment.) Profile's prior posts show my RP style with him. I really like the character concept and would love the opportunity to play him again; I'm open to changing the specifics of his build if desired.

I've never read the AP (except for the Player's Guide) and only played the first module up to an encounter in a ruined church. I can post at least twice a day during the week, but am unable to guarantee weekend posts. I am in the US at GMT-4 and would be posting in the morning and again in the afternoon/evening.

Let me know what you think - either way I appreciate your time and consideration.

Tempest, we posted within 60 seconds of each other, last night, so I just want to make sure that my submission wasn't overlooked.

I did see that after I posted, yes and did look Anovat over. XD

*waits patiently*

GM Tempest - Bought and read Dark Markets, it is interesting. However I don't think it influences my character just yet. I've changed location to Solku, the parts in background for seeking a ruin expedition and about Garaval were for the prior entry to LoF.

They will be revised as needed, before play begins. For now, let's say that he is in Solku trying to chase down the location of Kalmarane, as he is curious about his past and what it might mean. He'll also be looking for opportunities to make some money, explore ruins, and increase his power.

I know. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger myself...

Ok. Sounds good.

As much as I'd like to say I'm almost done with my character, the work week has gotten the better of me, and with Mother's Day weekend coming up, I'm not sure what I will get done before next week. I don't want to hold up the game if you are ready to pick a group and start.

Sounds good. I was just going to PM you to ask how the inquisitor was coming. I was just wanting to hear from you and one other, and figured I'd wait on any other possible applicants in the meantime. Thanks for letting me know!

Ok, guys submissions have slowed/halted a bit here, so as to not drag it out unnecessarily, I'm going to move up the deadline.

Announcement/cutoff will be 9 a.m. EST, 5/13/17.

*still waits patiently* "Well, As we wait... Why don't we have some fun? Surely someone else wants to talk, perhaps get to know each other?"

So long as it's okay to RP here

"I do not think that it would be wise for us to become too... attached to these personas. One is more like to come across a kind Sandstalker than be lucky enough to be chosen for campaigns on these forms, I think."

Dotting because I absolutely want to play this, but can't submit until a bit later tonight. Probably a Wizard.

Excellently stated, Nishv...The desert is a harsh mistress.

GM Tempest, I've updated Redeemed's stats to fit your creation guidelines. Please let me know if there's anything else that you'd like to see changed, otherwise I'll patiently sit on my hands until tomorrow morning.

** spoiler omitted **...

Alright. I'll check the rest out in the morning and make the big announcement...

Stat-block, Familiar, spells, and background are all going in the character profile, and not another post. Just letting you know here, so you know where to look so it's prettier/cleaner/complete.

Acknowledged

Alright folks, here's the 6. For those of you who applied and didn't make the cut, apologies. Perhaps we'll have the opportunity to play together at some point.
Thanks to everyone for putting in the character submission and the time you spent to do that.

Legacy of Fire Characters
Chakam
Loran
Uzma
Rafyyk
Nishv
Korum

Head on over to the Discussion, guys!

Congrats to the chosen, keep me in mind please if a replacement needed. Often I ask a GM about what I could do better in my character to get in but here I am not surprised. I had a very sinking feeling when I read Korum's submission, it's a great execution of some of the idea's I toyed with in mine and some other characters I've done.

Good luck and good gaming, may this run as long as Voodoo's.

Congratulations on everyone chosen! Good gaming!

Congrats to those selected. Have fun!

Thank you for your consideration, and may the campaign be a long and enjoyable one!

Ooops!

Looked like I just missed the cut.

Oh well, I was busy with that real world rubbish.

Can't do much about that :P

Congrats to the finalists!

I'm re-opening this thread, not to recruit players, but because the GM has gone AWOL.

Is there anyone around who is interested in picking up where he left off, and running this game?

We are currently::

Back at Almah's camp after beating the Pugwampi in the cactus field, and are about to head to the monastery

If anybody is interested, you can either post here or message me directly, and we'll (hopefully) get things rolling again.

Grand Lodge

Hey folks. I'm excited about the opportunity to continue your adventures. I'll post a bit more in the Discussions about myself in a few hours.

FYI, I'm in New Zealand, so a noted time difference will likely be evident. It's currently 12noon on Friday here (and 8pm on Thursday in NYC, for comparison).

Cheers,
Dink

Grand Lodge

Hello! We are looking for two new 1st level players to join our Legacy of Fire campaign!

We've lost two players to real life recently, and would love some characters with divine and roguish influences to submit themselves for judgement. If found worthy, we will throw you into the desert and try to peck your eyes out. Who wouldn't want to come join the fun?

Seriously, we would love submissions. No background traits. One trait must be from the Legacy of Fire player's guide. All races will be considered if they fit the campaign setting; all classes as well.

No evil characters, thank you.

I will leave this open until midnight on Thursday October 12th (Weds into Thurs) PST. Check our threads out! Submit!!!

Sovereign Court

I am potentially interested in your Legacy of Fire game. I'm in another LoF game currently, but it's moving at an extremely slow pace (it's been going for a year, I think? And we just got past the second encounter of the first book - not even up to where your group is).

You said "no background traits," but "one trait must be from the LoF player's guide," what does this mean? Do you mean no background skills, but two traits, one of which is a campaign trait? Or you just get one campaign trait and pick no others?

Point-buy still 15? Starting wealth still max? Variant multi-classing allowed/not allowed?

Thank you in advance!

Silver Crusade

Exactly what type of rogue skills are we talking about? Traps, general sneakyness, social?

I'd like to submit something, but the Player's guide is not free like the other APs. If you know anywhere I can get the info, I'll make a submission.

Edit: I found a link earlier in the thread. Give me some time to work something out.
