Just to be clear - Beshvi has given you two things:
The latter had belonged to Jawcracker. The former has always been Beshvi's.

Vision is obscured, but not your sense of sound. You have an idea of where the gnomes are. You can move towards them. Once within five feet, you can see them just fine, along with other things.

Razif, you can't use your touch of flame on something that you're not holding. From the flame warden archetype text:
"As a standard action, the ranger can grant a single weapon he holds the flaming special ability for 1 minute..."
You can move to where you were sleeping and then pick up your bow this round. I've moved you on the map.

It’s all good. There are loads of rules. Part of my job is adjudicating them all.

Razif, as per gust of wind:
"The force of the gust automatically extinguishes candles, torches, and similar unprotected flames."
I'll rule that while the flamewarden abilities (like touch of flame) are magical, the flame itself is not, so yes, the flame blows out but the magical enhancement persists.
As far as talking in the windstorm, y'all are needing to yell in order to be heard. FYI.

Just making sure everyone is on board with correct HP totals (after the first attack of round 1):

Respectfully, I'm wondering about bringing in another player as a 6th player to inject some freshness into our campaign. I think the energy of our game could be helped by the right addition. I won't do this without acquiescence from a majority of y'all.
We have some gaps that could use some assistance. We don't have a rogue-type character. We don't have a prepared caster. No one is really a 'face' character.
I've been perusing the boards here, and there are SCADS of players hoping to get into an AP. We could have our pick of the litter. I'd ask for your input into the choice, but I reserve the right to make the ultimate call, if it comes down to it.
Whatcha think, y'all?

Drael Kapernos |

I would be open to it, my only concern is just that adding more posters could mean slowing things down as we have to wait for more people to post in each combat turn or conversation.
That being said our party definitely has a lot of traditional roles un-filled, and more folks to RP with is always fun.

Layaali Twice-Born |

Sure, as long as they're fine playing alongside kids.

Razif al-Akkuya |

All good if you ask me :) I was a player hoping to get into an AP PBP myself at one point, and that's how I got here. I'll be the last person to object, and as Drael says, more folks to RP with is always fun.
(Come to think of it, wasn't Razif meant to fill the rogue-y role? oops)

Welcome!

Min Bunnisbeldar |

Hello!

Layaali Twice-Born |

OMG, I can't believe I forgot to put Life Link on the gnomes today. >.< Sorry Min!

Rab-rab Bunnis |

Hello.

![]() |

I am not sure about Rab-rab's attack bonuses with her aerokinesis.
I see that she has a BAB of +3 at 5th level. She also has a Dex bonus of +3 and a weapon focus feat for aerokinesis. That brings me to a +7. Rab-rab's stat sheet says that her air blast attack is at a +8, so I'm assuming that she's got point blank shot built into that attack roll. Also, air blast has a range of 30 feet, so there's no reason why point blank shot would NOT be built into her stat block.
In other words, I can see only the bless spell that's missing from her attack roll - NOT the point blank shot feat, which is already accounted for - and therefore that's a miss.

Layaali Twice-Born |

Rab Rab is small, which is an automatic +1 to attack rolls. Which makes it +8.
And air blast can be increased to 120 ft range with her extended range ability, so point blank shot isn't built into her attack rolls.

Well spotted, Layaali! If there were hero points in our game, then you'd get one.

Layaali Twice-Born |

I thought I lost the last of my ability damage last time we slept? If not, no worries, I'll just cast lesser restoration after this fight. Also, apologies to Razif, I didn't realize you'd taken ability damage again.

![]() |

I’m being a bit harsh and ruling that camping in the rocky wastes wouldn’t necessarily remove the ability score damage without an excellent camping (Survival) check.
Happy to discuss.

Layaali Twice-Born |

No worries. I'll just use magic.

![]() |

You are correct, Yantuk. My bad. I read the Aid Another description - that’s just for skill checks. But there is that other combat aid thing that does exist (and should have a different name).
It still wouldn’t have helped last round but it’s worthwhile to keep trying.

I just wanted to comment on the timing of Drael's flight back to the north side of the cavern.
In all, that leaves Drael with 15 seconds to touch down on the north end of the cavern before the fly spell abruptly ends.
*WHEW*

I am back from PaizoCon! It was loads of virtual fun. Layaali, hope you had a good time as well.
Getting back to this encounter - Yantuk is the only one who has not posted their action for this round as of yet, but I will assume that they are fleeing alongside Razif (as Yantuk was the one to suggest fleeing). I will also assume that Min will delay until Rab-rab acts. That means that Drael, Layaali, Min, and Rab-rab are in place when the round starts back up and my creature takes its actions.
Drael, I am feeling benevolent and will allow you to drop down onto the edge of the stone by the magma pool. Your fly spell has ended.

Hey y’all. Paul here.
The time has come for me to hang up the spurs on this game. I’ve been dragging my feet at doing this for a long while, and though I’ve very much enjoyed running this game for y’all, I simply don’t have the fire (pun intended) to continue it.
I thank you all for your continued efforts to this game. If you’re keen to have another GM pick it up, then I’ll leave it open and it can be advertised in the PbP Recruitment channel.
Layaali and Co, it’s been fun working with y’all and gaming with some of the youngest PbPers with which I’ve ever had the pleasure to roll dice. Drael and Razif, you’ve been stalwart and rock star posters and I thank you for your dedication. Yantuk, you took a chance on this game and I feel badly for leaving you when you’re just getting your feet wet.
I have fond memories of this game but the time to say good-bye is nigh. Adios, and my our gaming paths cross again someday in the future.
Peace and Natty 20s
-Dink

It's been a pleasure to game with all of you! Thanks for the memories! And especially, thanks for gaming with these two chipper gnomes.
