Round 4
”We have found a nest of tazelwyrms, should we move in to check out the statue or back up some?” Katrina asks as she continues looking for more with her bow taunt and an areow aimed at the vegetation.

Kevros Droverson |

READIED ACTION: Attack any creature that attacks party ...
Kev looks to Tristan and the others, "I would try to lure them out or wait until they angry enough to attack us out in the open. But if you want to go toe to toe, I will cover you all."
Kev keeps his head on a swivel to see if he perceives where more are hiding or charging the party in anger for their recently slain kin ...
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Tristan Morgan |

"Hold here, draw whatever it is out. Make it fight on our terms."
Tristan stands ready in a defensive stance.
Full Defense rounds 4,5,6 waiting to see what happens

Quince Medvyed |

Quince howls a challenge.
"I could send in creatures possibly to flush them out?"

Kevros Droverson |

Did Kevros detect rustling in or parts hanging out any of the bushes with his Percept 27?

GM Wolf |

Kevros only notices the growls and dragon angry noises coming from the ground beyond the vegetation likely in caves considering the echoing.
Round 6
You can hear roars and movement in the vegetation of many bodies. Either you choose to delay, make your actions known, or make a readied action—> 1d6, 1-3 miss/ no target.
Quince, how long does your entangle spell last?

Katrina Dewtree |

Round 6
Bow: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 ready action, 1-3 miss/no targets: 1d6 ⇒ 4
She backs up a little and then brings up her bow aiming at the edge of the vegetation ready to shoot.

Tristan Morgan |

How far away are they?

Quince Medvyed |

4 rounds

GM Wolf |

Quince you would notice likely more than others that your spell runs out at the end of round 5... do you cast another spell in round 5 or 6?
Round 6
Katrina hits one of the wyrms as it emerges in her line of sight. Angeus moves back to hide behind one of the bushes saying, ”Tristan you should back up so I can get some attacks of opportunity as they rush you.”

Tristan Morgan |

"Yes my queen. Everyone back up get behind me let them crash on me then take them down."
Tristan will back up and keep in his defensive stance.
Staying Full Defense AC:30

Quince Medvyed |

Not unless they were advancing. Otherwise I would position myself to help Tristan.

Kevros Droverson |

Kev shoots where Katrina shot. While shooting, he asks, Why is the outstretched claw on the statue beginning to glow green?!

Map is updated.
The wyrms are now out in the open looking for their slain kin. They begin charging the group.

Tristan Morgan |

Tristan holds to the plan waiting for them to charge and stays full defense.
Current AC: 30

Quince Medvyed |

Quince casts entangle again.

Kevros Droverson |

Which Tazel(s) have been wounded?

Katrina Dewtree |

Round 7
She nearly drops her bow as she stumbles and then speaks in an otherworldly voice, ”See ye the glowing light, the harbinger of wyrms sorrow, strike the claw with thine own blood, unless be swallowed by gnashing teeth.” With that said she drops fully prone.
Round 8
If not threatened she stands up and collects her bow in the same motion, she looks to Kevros even paler than normal asks in her confused state, ”What happened?”

Kevros Droverson |

For my next two posts, did Quince's entangle worked?

GM Wolf |

In round 7, about 2/3rds of the wyrms were not affected by the spell and charge Tristan or surround him and Quince.
In round 8, those entagled get free or sludge forward at half speed to join the fray. More wyrms begin to emerge from the undergrowth, more: 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1
I can’t use google docs right now, so I am doing what I can.

Kevros Droverson |

ROUND 7
Kev helps Katrina up looking concerned.
ROUND 8+
"Right, I know what I have to do." Making sure the Tazels are busy and Kat is standing before sprinting to the statue, to climb it, and cut his hand in a manner that he will not die from to splash blood on to the claw. He then raises his buckler which acts like a Holy Symbol of Erastil, "Erastil, hear the prayer of your disciple, and let us not be swallowed by gnashing teeth!"

GM Wolf |

Round 8
Kevros double moves and pulls a dagger as he goes, performing the simple ritual of placing his blood onto the claw, the statue begins to glow the same green light under the scales of the statue from within. Then the rock shell shatters revealing a ten foot monster of draconic heritage stands towering over Kevros. In his claws is a bloody large war axe as if straight from battle. His head is that of a dragon, as are his reddened bronze scales and claws. A mithril breastplate covers his chest, with a belt of gear around his waist.

Krazok Vell Firesource |

Round 8
”Arghhhhh! YOU FOUL BEAST.... wait a second where is that foul dragon Bezburl?” He shouts as if he was already in combat with something else, looking around the then lunges forward with a new roar then yelling, ”May Bezburl’s spawn be stricken from this world!” Coming forward he smashes the mighty, now blazing red, axe into the wyrm just exiting the foliage smitting it in twine.
Large +1 great axe dragon bane: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 16 - 2 = 24 damage with PA: 3d6 + 12 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5) + 12 + 6 + (3, 5) = 37

Quince Medvyed |

Round 8
Quince moves up shoulder to shoulder with Tristan. He brings his shield up to cover the man's flank and strikes at an enemy.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Quince watches Kevros quizzically the appearance of the new ally confusing him. "Ah okay."

GM Wolf |

Bites Vs Quince: 1d20 ⇒ 4 +5 miss
Grabs Vs Angues: 3d20 ⇒ (10, 14, 1) = 25 +9 two grabs?
The wyrms bite at Tristan but he is able to dodge and bash them back. Angues takes several bites and is taken to the ground as they hold to her legs. Quince is able to strike one as its bite attack is foiled.
Round 9
More wyrms come to the scene: 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (7) - 2 = 5 also a very loud roar can be heard further into the hills.

Kevros Droverson |

FREE ACTION - End of ROUND 8
Kevros gulped and was momentarily speechless at the draconic being hoping it was either a Herald of Erastil or some other kind being. Because if it is not, the group's situation went from bad to worse.
However, after the draconic being smashed the tazel, anyone witnessing sees a sign of relief come over Kev.
Post round 9 after lunch and I can look at the map

Krazok Vell Firesource |

Round 9
”I’ve got these new ones you go help your friends! KRAZOOK!” He yells as a rush of healing washes over Kevros 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 8) + 5 = 16 and the dragonkin turns taunting the wyrms with an open hand waiting, delaying, until he is surrounded by them then he goes for the cleave.

Kevros Droverson |

ROUND 9
Kev nods and responds to the Dragonkin, "Yes ... Yes! Thank you!
Kevros takes aim at the solo Tazel running between Kev/Dragonkin and fires;
Attack1: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 14
Damage1: 1d10 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 13

Damage2: 1d10 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 14
The first bolt misses but the second finds fleshy parts.
(-2 bolts)
Being concerned with the large earlier roar, Kev quickly looks over his back as he reloads (free action).

Quince Medvyed |

Round 9
Quince shifts to stand at Tristan's shoulder. He calls out a cry that has a high pitched ring.
Summon Nature's Ally: 1d3 ⇒ 3
The cry is answered by the clarion skree of a three eagles diving in deep dives toward the tazels.
5 foot step to prevent a second flank on Tristan. Cast Summon nature's all 2. I don't think they can attack till next round.

Tristan Morgan |

Looks like remaining a target is working fine while you guys cut them down.
Tristan remains in the frey defending off the bites and claws as his allies old and new cut the creatures down.
Remain full defense

GM Wolf |

Round 9
Angeus is left alone and they move to strike out at Quince, almost fully surrounding him and Tristan. Angeus scoots away to stand up but as she stands she screams in horror. She has begun to petrify. Kevros takes two shots though only one of them hits the pink wyrm that was already hit by Quince taking it down. Quince may have stopped a flanking problem for Tristan but as he casts his spell two of the wyrms attack as he focuses on his spell rather than them. Luckily he knocks off the one who bites him but will the pain from the bite stop him from casting? Tristan remains the tank making sure that they wyrms focus on him as his defense is impregnable so far. The five wyrms coming from the underbrush emerge and charge Krazok, he waits with the axe held high in both claws. Two of them pounce on him successfully, he shakes them off before they can secure their teeth on his legs but while that happens they are able to rake down his legs. Krazok in a raging yell slices down through the wyrms next to him slicing them all down. You all can hear something large rushing through the trees knocking some over but most just out of the way as it comes towards the group.
Injured while casting: 10 + damage dealt + spell level. DC 19, roll d20 and add your caster level and the ability score modifier used to determine bonus spells of the same type, (Cha right?). If successful then the eagles can fly in at the beginning of your turn in Round 10.

more wyrms emerge: 1d8 - 4 ⇒ (1) - 4 = -3
If the plants in the area are covered in thorns, those in the area take 1 point of damage each time they fail a save against the entangle or fail a check made to break free. Other effects, depending on the local plants, might be possible at GM discretion.
Kevros you may make a perception check as well with that free action.

Krazok Vell Firesource |

Round 10

Str check as a move action DC 16: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Reflex since still in the weeds DC 16: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
"Ah! I am free..." He says happily before takeing a few steps forward, 5 foot step, then frowns as the weeds entangle him again as he yells, "For pity's sake, is this any of your spells or will I be hunting down a druid once this is done?!"
"Thank you! Bezburl is not here yet, I will come kill some of his brood for you!" He shouts happily as he charges towards the group and the black wyrm. Landing the blow down the spine of the creature he slices it in half and grins at the his new friends shouting, "Huzzah!"
Large +1 great axe dragon bane: 1d20 + 16 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 16 - 4 = 29 damage with PA: 3d6 + 12 + 8 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1) + 12 + 8 + (5, 1) = 37

Tristan Morgan |

Tristan would have studied one of the ones he could attack while being defensive as it is a standard action.
Round 10
"Got to kill some of these things."
Staying defensive is no longer cutting it so Tristan goes back to attacking but remains in a defensive stance.
Attacking Black Wurm
Attack defensively: 1d20 + 18 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 18 - 4 = 34

ROUND 10
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Kev easily notices the threat behind him and does not currently like his position. He takes this round (Full Round Action) to make a double move closer to the Katrina.
I will adjust my game piece tonight at home

Quince Medvyed |

I totally forgot casting provokes. Been spoiled by 5e. Any chance I can cast then take my 5 foot step or was that going to happen either way?
Consentration Check DC 19: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18Curses.
Round 10
Quince winces as he is struck and attacks the wyrm.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage?: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

GM Wolf |

You would have provoked some one way or another Quince.
Round 10
Quince loses focus on his spell and in his frustration misses as well. Kevros moves back to Katrina who is stuck watching Angeus turn into a statue. Krazok gets free at the last moment and is stuck again and yells in frustration with the entangling plants. Tristan takes down the black wyrm. The massive wyrm stops at its location on the map roaring and looking for the threat.
I will do the rolls of the wyrms attacks tomorrow.
Round 11
Commence.

Tristan Morgan |

Round 11
Attack Defensively: 1d20 + 18 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 18 - 4 = 30
Damage On Purple Wurm: 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (1, 2) + 11 = 14
Current AC: 27

Kevros Droverson |

Ugh, please excuse any colors I get wrong. Color blindness sucks!
Kevros can not worry about Angeus right now since there is no way he can dispel her curse or enchantment at his current experience. Now that he is happier in his current position, he looks for a target,
"Tristan can defend himself better so I will help Quince out and besides Quince is the chosen King, Protect the King?!"
Kev targets and rapid fires at Quince's orange Tazel;
Attack1: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 2 = 23
Damage1: 1d10 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7

Critical Threat 2: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 2 = 27
Critical Damage2: 1d10 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 2 = 13
Two bolts strike the Tazel (orange) one into flesh and the second homes in on vital, striking true.
Kev reloads as a free action and quickly listens for movement behind him.
(-2 bolts + mag management)

Quince vows internally to prove that the king can protect himself.
Attack Morning Star: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
damage Red (I think the same one Kevros described as orange): 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Dropping his shield and snarling Quince sweeps out with both hands the shield to create space and the Morningstar to strike a wyrm.

Kevros Droverson |

No, pretty sure I hit orange which is the piece between you and what is now Angeus' Statue. Red is on the piece's left side or technically Quince's right side.

Quince Medvyed |

LOL Quince definitely hit red.

Tristan hits the purple wyrm damaging it leaving the flesh rended but it continues to bite at him. Quince goes to hit red but it drops with two bolts sticking out of it, switching to the next closest target the light blue wyrm takes a face full of spikes from the morning star leaving chunks missing. The huge wyrm enters into the entangling area and it seems to not even faze it but at least slowing it down, same as the humanoid dragon. The wyrms continue to snarl and bite at the group but they keep up their defenses and dodge a good portion of the attacks.
Bites Vs Tristan: 3d20 ⇒ (3, 4, 1) = 8
Bites Vs Quince: 3d20 ⇒ (13, 20, 4) = 37 +5

Round 12
Kevros takes down the white wyrm with his two shots. Quince and Katrina miss. Tristan takes down the orange wyrm. Angeus remains a statue. The wyrms around Tristan fail to even touch Tristan as Quince's armor protects him this round from those gnashing teeth. The underbrush stops the giant wyrm in place but it tears free and continues to move against the straining vegetation. It roars in frustration similar to what the dragonkin was doing earlier just without words.
