Creon 18.
"OG" Creon 18 included his trips down f@%#ed up memory lane I/C without spoilers so I am following that tradition. Do let me know if they are bothersome and I will spoil them.
Jon, The Evil DM
I have no problem with them, but if other characters would prefer them in spoilers it is what it is.
On a side note, if you'd like to see Creon eventually pick up any kind of "Numerian" weapons such as laser weaponry or even just a higher-tech option like using firearms, let me know and it can be arranged. As mentioned in Recruitment, the things you can find available in your kingdom will depend on what you all seek out, so if you wanted to have Creon slowly move into using guns or something that can definitely be arranged. If not, then it's not really a big deal, I suppose.

Hey all, Gameplay post will go up tomorrow. I was hoping to put it up tonight, but I've been up for hours doing work for my undergraduate psychology research. We have to have a certain amount of stuff done by tomorrow, but I wanted to go over everything we had before we present it to my professor and cross-reference our sources with our hypotheses, that kind of thing. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but with the group split in two my Gameplay posts are obviously a lot longer than normal. Sorry for the kind of irregular schedule, it'll resolve itself pretty soon here.
Hope all our new folks have been enjoying themselves so far regardless, though!

Yup! I'm a double major in Creative Writing and Psychology, finishing up my Bachelor's degree this May. All undergraduate psychology students at my university have to complete directed research under one of our professors; I'm doing research on mental health/illness literacy and the effects it has on conscious/unconscious bias toward the mentally ill.

I was a Psych major with an undergrad in Counseling. Then reversed course with an MBA in Finance and a Law Degree specializing in Corporate and Tax Law.
I forget my research topic something to do with first impressions - I had the same person in the same pose with different clothes and requested feedback as to their impressions of him.
Only years later did I realize that what I wanted to be is a writer. Legal memos don't scratch that itch for me.
Good luck!

Hey all, just checking in to let you know I am indeed out of the hospital. I know for a fact that at least Prophet and Annika are aware of this, but for any of the rest of you who don't know, I'm diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder Type-II (have been for ~7 years or so, actually). Normally I function pretty well, but I had some issues with my psychotropic medication and I ended being admitted to a psychiatric ward (partially due to my own actions, partially due to trickery by the hospital staff because they didn't have anyone from psychiatrics on staff when I came in) to be stabilized and re-analyze my medication plan. Long story short, I am doing better now but have run out of time for the day to catch up with all of my games; I got most of the way there but this game will have to wait for me to post tomorrow.
Either way, glad to be back home and I'll have a nice juicy update for the lot of you tomorrow, probably the afternoon or evening.
PS: This is not a sore or sensitive subject for me, don't feel the need to "beat around the bush" or anything like that. Also, it's usually the reason that I don't post for a bit if that ends up happening; unless I say a game is dead, do assume I will be back after a bit of R&R.

Happy to hear you are feeling better! :-)

Ouch. I remember the last time you were having issues with one of your medicines. I'm glad that you're feeling better.

I am glad you are getting you medication back on track.

I am glad to hear everything got sort out in the end.
Maybe it's because I am spanish and in our hospitals they usually don't pull those tricks -mostly because they are free so at best they will get nothing and at worst sued- but those things astonish me.
I mean, my youngest aunt got into psychiatric ward after she attempted suicide, but only after a judge signed an order.
Anyway, I'll use the opportunity to say that I'll be posting tomorrow morning!
Jon, The Evil DM
I technically went to the hospital and checked myself in, it's just they misled me when it came to what form I was signing; I thought it was saying that I was agreeing that I was okay with being admitted if it came to that (which is what they told me), but it was actually a form stating that I was allowing them to admit me and that I couldn't leave for 72 hours unless they approved it, even if I wanted to leave. I wasn't happy about that. It eventually got sorted out but it kind of pissed me off.
Also, I'll be posting in a few hours; my research had to be submitted to the review board so this week was hectic, but we're all done with that now and I'm free for the weekend. It's gonna be a long one, or I would have posted yesterday.

That's a plan I can get behind... and rain arrows from there.
Also, I will post later today. Sorry for the lack of posts, had a lot of sleep to catch up on.

Yep. Sorry for the delay. I injured myself at work and now I am dealing with the hassle of trying to get to see a doctor.

Ah jeez, what happened?

Creon is down for that well not really but he'll go along anyway as it is the next logical step :-)

black iron pole to the face and it slashed open my lip. Had to get a tetanus shot and now I feel horrible :( My boss was not pleased I called in and am not going to work. That shot sucks!
Jon, The Evil DM
Jesus, that sounds nasty! Glad you're alright, though.
As for combat now having started, most of you have checked in on Roll20. I'm missing one person entirely and one person has checked in but I don't know what character they're playing. If you don't have control of your token, let me know which player you are and I'll fix it for you.

Twas me the one not checked, already solved. Pretty easy to identify mw unless roll20 decides once again to "erase" my name back to default.
Edit Or you can consider my post true as soon as I check from my laptop, as roll20 says 'bla bla bla not mobile phone browsers'

Jonathan, there's a Tatzlwyrm right next to you that would get an attack of opportunity against you at the moment. That said, nothing is obstructing you from taking a 5-foot step back as part of your action as well; doing so nullifies that and you gain all relevant bonuses still. You have control of your token on Roll20, feel free to move him about as you wish.
Theodore 'Greyhawk' Iscariot
Freaking sucked and my arm is still sore from the shot. Since I am so low on the initiative and have to go to work please bot me if need be to keep up speed. Stupid work getting in the way of gaming :(
Also I love Tatzlwyrms!

Done! Didn't have access to my laptop till now, so I couldn't see the map.
But now Jon's away from AoOs and firing into the bigger thingy.

A note for something I forgot to mention, I think.
While I do mention that only three party members are up, everyone else is free to put up their actions for the next round. Nothing else is going to happen before that (usually) so I don't really mind if you do so; that marker is both to remind people they have an action before the round is over and also for me to remember whose actions have "priority", so to speak. In this case, the three people ending the round will have their actions take place before the rest of the party in the case of any time where that matters. Of course, you can also delay your actions if you think that other party members may be able to aid you in doing something useful that you can't do at the moment, such as if you're grappled. Once those three have posted I'll put up an update on the fight regardless, and if not everyone for the next round is done posting I'll simply put up a reminder and not roll enemy actions. If they have, I'll adjudicate everything at once.
Just wanted to clear that up!

Well, let me be the first to say that mythic isn't at aaaaaaall broken and that yoi can trust my arrows not to get at aaaaaall stupid and slaying-like.

Theodore 'Greyhawk' Iscariot
I love the mythic stuff! I am using it in my homebrew game. My power gamer is the only crazy broken on. Some of the mythic spells are awesome.
Jon, The Evil DM
Any additional optional rules (like Mythic, Hero Points, etc.) will be appropriately balanced against enemy encounters with things like templates or higher numbers of enemies. Also, it's worth noting that I personally dislike taking Mythic to Tier 10; if I were to do anything with it I would likely stop somewhere between 4-7. All of these tend to make Mythic less crazy and a little easier to handle even with a group this size. Various aspects of where I'm taking this campaign in the future are still sort of up in the air, so we'll see how that goes.
