I’m pretty sure it’s okay.

You can try at least. We’ll see what happens.

This is an important discussion. Take your time and let me know when you’ve decided what to do next and I’ll move things along.

Lol! Good one. Give you props for that one. The fact that you could find a place for that is impressive. :)

I feel my lack of culture here... Any hint?

The actual quote: Many Bothans died to bring us this information.

And if you give up, then click below. :)

Answer :)

Aaaaaaaaaah!

What’s a boffin?

A scientist or expert.

‘The boffins at Bletchley Park cracked the code.’

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

You know, I couldn't've told you that. I just thought he threw out a made up word. :P

Thanks!

Queen's English, my good chap.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Ah, okay. Gotcha. No wonder it wasn't even a familiar term to me.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Oops! My bad. Yeah I totally wasn't even thinking about the commune spell. I'd guess we would leave after that then.

Male Elf Cleric 13: AC 25, Hit Points 99/99, Perception +21, Initiative +8 Channels left 5/5 Current buffs: magic circle of PfE, comprehend languages

I’m really struggling for my 13 yes/no questions.

Any more ideas?

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

13! Dang that's a lot of questions.

What do you have so far? I don't want to start spewing out questions that you've already got nailed down.

Start with four or five, then rebrainstorm. Just a suggestion.

That's a great suggestion, GM. Maybe the first answers will suggest additional questions.

Second dude: "And I'm 37!"

Lol!

Let's head to Pitax. All indications are we can't do anything about the dragon anyway, that gives us a sort of freedom to act.

Yeah, definitely.

Oberlin, do you need a second day here in the capital? Is what you have planned something you can do while we are traveling, or when we get to Pitax?

Kingdom Mage 13, hp88/88, Per +10, AC 16/12/16, Saves For+8/Ref+7/Will+13, alignment obscured

We can head out. Oberlin has a lot to do in Pitax if possible. There should be resources there.

Very nice Oberlin! And Kriger, you already have such a weapon. You took it from the barbarian lord...

Lol! Yeah, I don't think so. Kriger would like to actually keep control of his own faculties. He doesn't want to slaughter just anybody you know. Just dragons and fey people. No reason.

Lol! Hey wait a minute! Who's side are you on, Kalsgrim?! Betrayed by our very own fearless leader. What is the Stolen lands coming too?!

He's practicing paladin entrapment...

How can there be redemption if there is no lapse first?

Oh, wait. That's Saranrae's thing, not Erastil. I have no excuse.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Okay you've convinced me. I think Kriger is ready for the sword. Sword! Sword! Sword! Sword! Sword! Sword! Sword! Sword! Sword! SWORD!!!! Let's do this and see what happens. It'll be fun! Now for the next part to this puzzle. What the heck did we do with it? No seriously, what did we do with it? :P

Kingdom Mage 13, hp88/88, Per +10, AC 16/12/16, Saves For+8/Ref+7/Will+13, alignment obscured

I was wondering that too.

And is there some sort of history that Oberlin would know that would suggest that it might be useful against the fae?

As far as you know, the sword was tied to the Tiger Lord and the god of war.

Kingdom Mage 13, hp88/88, Per +10, AC 16/12/16, Saves For+8/Ref+7/Will+13, alignment obscured

So you are saying that more research is needed...? To the Bookmobile!

Not necessarily. As far as you can tell, there was never a link between the sword and the fey. Nothing this far has suggested this might be the case.

So as you know I am an Emergency Physician. I will attempt to check in as regularly as I can, but I have no idea how things are going to go over the next few weeks here in the US. Sorry, stay safe and wash your hands.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Marcel(Old Guy GM) is the DM in my Runelords game. He hasn't posted since March 9th. I sure hope it's nothing more than having to deal with this Covid mess.

He's been fantastically reliable. I joined the game back in 2014 when they were in Hook Mountain Massacre(Book 3 I think?). Anyway we are now in Book 6. So it's been a heck of a ride. I mean 6 years is pretty awesome. Heck, this game started in 2010! Discount the three year hiatus in between and we've been rolling for 7 years! That's pretty freaking cool.

Anyway, I'm hoping he makes it back so we can finish it because that would be awesome.

So per this:

Other Mastermind wrote:
Marcel hasn't posted in a while. I'm not sure he's still with us. I'll give it until Monday perhaps? Then we'll just say he went on his own to have a discreet look around the place (and perhaps he'll never come back...). Let me know if you prefer we don't wait and just say he's on a scouting assignment until/if he shows up again.

I guess I'd probably lean toward the scouting assignment. But therein lies the kicker: If we get somebody else and he does come back, then do we roll with 6? Is that to many? Or do we just keep rolling with 4 right now and see where it takes us?

I'm not sure how we want to roll with this. I know right now we'll be fine with just the four of us. But at some point we're probably going to need a trap guy I would think; but I don't really know. It just seems to me that EVERY game needs a trap guy. :P

I love Marcel as a character too. He has the best off-screen moments.

I would definitely leave an empty chair for him.

from archives of nethys: Familiarity: “Very familiar” is a place where you have been very often and where you feel at home. “Studied carefully” is a place you know well, either because you can currently physically see it or you've been there often. “Seen casually” is a place that you have seen more than once but with which you are not very familiar. “Viewed once” is a place that you have seen once, possibly using magic such as scrying.

I see. I hadn't made the connection with the teleport statement just above. Apologies.

Yes, you may consider it studied carefully.

Shall we move on to the feast?

You know, I have never heard of any of this. Interesting. And quite detailed.

Let's get feasting!

I'm ready to move on to the feast if the others are. If we get Marcel back at some point, maybe we can retro any preparations he does. I don't want to rush Kriger or Oberlin if they have additional advance prep/research to do ahead of the feast.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Nope. I got nothing. Ready to eat some grub!

I am working my way through the paladin spell list to make sure I've got the right things memorized for the feast. I'll post for Kalsgrim once I've got that worked out. He'll be going in his less than regal travel gear (unless one of his entourage protests).

Thanks for the heads up!

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

@Malaswyn: Okay, you win. Now I'm curious. What roll is "one last try" for? Enquiring minds want to know(or possibly just me). :P

Awesome roll by the way! :)

It was sense motive. It was the same roll in the preview, so that part of the dice-rolling code was holding up.

Yeah, a 42 in sense motive sees through all of the lies.
