Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Gonna roll with a couple of different spells for Kriger.

Replace Greater animal aspect with Resist energy, communal
Replace Protection from energy with Water walk, communal

Is this cool? Figured they have the potential to be more useful. Maybe not the water walk so much, but hey, you never know.

It's cool. :)

Lol!

Man this new format is trip-ping. The links are gonna be difficult to see anymore due to how everything looks the same. If you look at my post about 3 spots up, the "Water walk, communal" is a link. I can't even tell! :P

Aw, man - that’s an oversight.

I am happy to lose the sidebar though.

Raveneau, are you still with us?

Yeah never was a fan of the sidebar myself.

As far as Mark is concerned, I know he's had internet issues which I believe(if I remember correctly) are job related. He's in another game of mine and he hasn't been able to post in that one either for some time. I'm sure he's still around it just boils down to if/when he can post again.

And just for curiosity sake... can you folks read my post? I'm thinking it may be a bit difficult to read due to how YOU'VE JUST BEEN BLINDED BY THE GIGANTIC LETTERING! Lol! Oh man this huge print trips me out. :)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yay! The "link" is normal again! :)

Thanks. Let's hope he finds his way back. For now, let's move on then.

When we are out exploring the terrain, might I suggest this spell for Kriger?
Hide Campsite

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Hey now that's a good one. Didn't know about that one. Or just flat missed it in herolabs, not sure which.

Will have to learn it when the next day rolls around though.

Mal has some spell slots open so I was hunting for something useful and found it.

Not on the cleric spell lost though.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Good catch. Pretty handy spell. Especially for this situation.

Yes sir! Got it ready to roll.

Has been a whirlwind of circumstance and obfuscation on my end. Work remains a no go re: logging on, and I've had family visiting for a couple of weeks as well. We still don't have a home computer set up - and my wife's needed our one laptop for her night job... so all up a bit of a balls up. Won't get fundamentally better overnight - but should smooth out a bit once my folks drive back westwards on Monday.

Still dealing with the change of career as well - even though I'm three months into the role. Getting up earlier, working till later and coming home more tired and half brain dead.

I do apologize for being that arse that disappeared without word and didn't let people know what was going on. Don't have much of an excuse, but to be fairest to you all, I'll have to respectfully hand in a withdrawal from this game. My free computer enabled time is limited, and I'm paring back to just two PbPs - which are the longer running on the boards. It's been a trip, and I'll likely log on of occasion to see how it's going - and I'd also like to extend thanks and appreciation to all.

I know that feeling: it’s been good adventuring with you.

Sorry to see you go Raveneau. Thanks for letting us know. I hope all stays well for you and improve gradually. Please let me know if you'd like to join back in later.

Be well.

Right. So do you guys prefer to recruit another player? I think you have a nice group going on, but you are quite light on the arcane side.

If so, I have a few people I can get in touch with first.

Let me know what you three would prefer.

Male Elf Cleric 13: AC 25, Hit Points 99/99, Perception +21, Initiative +8 Channels left 5/5 Current buffs: magic circle of PfE, comprehend languages

I would definitely prefer to add a caster: Malaswyn isn’t really built to cover all the casting requirements of level ten.
I also know some players who we could invite, if you don’t get any joy.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Probably best we do get another. And if you guys have some folks in mind, that works for me.

Because every time I mention someone, it always goes south on me. :P

Take care, Mark. I appreciate you stopping back in to let us know you're okay, and I hope things continue to ratchet upwards for you as time goes by.

I would say yes, one or two players, especially someone arcane heavy, would be quite a boon.

Ok, let me get in touch with some people, then I'll ask on your side. Feel free to ask if they'd be interested. That will make things move faster. Also, send me the names you have in mind by PM.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

And 2 would be fine. One/two, either works for me.

Messages sent. I'll let you know.

Ok, they're all full at the moment. So if you have players you'd like to reach out to, can you send me a PM?

As I posted earlier, if the weather takes a turn or we get into/near a colder region, Mal will prepare communal endure elements. I can also use my free slots for a dream feast for one of us and a create food and water for the other three. I assume someone will bot Raveneau until we have faced the Tiger Lord?

I'll give it a go. I won't be nearly as fancy as he is with his "loquaciousness" :P but I can give it a shot mechanics wise.

I'm not really into arcane, personally, so it's a class I don't really get. So I'm open to any and all advice. If any of you have any recommendations on what might be best during combat, let me know and that's how I'll roll with him.

Actually, you don't have to. I know I would hate to have to bot a class I'm not familiar with. Instead, I'd prefer if you'd chance upon other characters as you scout the raiders' camp.

Would that work for all of you?

That would work for me. I don't have any leads right now on another player. I'll let you know if I find someone.

Oh, the Signet Ring of Frieland acts as a ring of sustenance and has a constant endure elements affect. :)

Sure! That would totally work for me. Because I've been going over the class a bit in herolabs and MAN it is sooooo involved. Serious mental beatdown. You folks who roll in the arcane world, I applaud you. I just don't have the mental capacity to deal with it. I think that's why I typically go divine - cleric to be frank because rangers/paladins and such classes have such a small spell list it's no big deal.

There's really not a lot to them and most of the archetypes are lame. So it's just cleric. Just pick a spell in the spell world and that's it! Outside of that, slap a channel every now and then and you're good! You're good. Easy peasy. :)

Male Elf Cleric 13: AC 25, Hit Points 99/99, Perception +21, Initiative +8 Channels left 5/5 Current buffs: magic circle of PfE, comprehend languages

I love playing wizards, my main PFS character is a conjugation specialists who combines awesome knowledge skills with summoned monsters and awesome buffs.

Yeah, I like summon monster.

The key to wizarding is getting a lot of options in your spellbook, crafting utility scrolls and leaving slots open. My wizard has never slated the BBEG but she’s so useful (and I’m holding onto some slaying arrows for the true strike + slaying arrow moment ).

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Now, while I'm not an arcane type cat, I've always wanted to try a Summoner(the unchained version) and summon all kinds of creatures. Because that just sounds like fun.

Something else I don't understand - and you are doing this with Mal - is the "open" slots. What does that mean? Do you just slap a spell in there whenever you feel like it or what? I truly have no idea. I'm just guessing.

I pray for spells in the morning or I get none.

However, prepared casters can leave slots open and pray for them later (15 minutes per spell).

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Ohhhh, well that's freaking cool. Man I never knew that. I've played plenty of clerics in my day(RL mostly) and have always been irritated at the fact you've got to pick all the spells you want in the morning.

You know how many times I've run into a situation and go: "Man I wish I would've learned that spell instead"? More than I can count. My gosh that's just handy. Good to know.

And thanks for the link! Man that's just cool. I guess that's what I get for never reading up on it. Dumb me. :P

Hey all. Just getting into the game via Javell's invite and OM's approval. I have an alias started and should be fleshed out no later than Friday. Looking forward to it!

Absolutely. Just wanted to get the crunch out first.

Greetings.

I have my alias up, but I am crunching on the spells and magic items still.

Strange, who knew that an 11th level wizard had such a huge spellbook...?

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Lol!

My gosh I don't envy you, Zeta. Like... 8 billion spells to choose from. :P

Our two new players:
Ok, you have your backgrounds more or less set up. The main pieces missing is how you’ve met, why your roaming the Stolen Lands, and why you’re following the raiders. Could you clarify this in spoilers? Maybe share your backgrounds and float some ideas?

M 13 Rogue (Unchained) hp 124/124 AC 27/18/21 F/R/W 11/18/9 Per 18 Stealth 30 SMo 12 Trap 6 Danger 4

Oberlin:
If you check my background, I came to the Stolen Land via Mivon, a River Kingdom just south of where this campaign starts. I didn't really have solid lead on why I was following the barbarians, but being hired by a wizard for 'item acquisition' would fit right in. The contract could even be 'payment upon recovery of said device', thus ensuring Oberlin probably wouldn't owe Marcel anything ever.

Kingdom Mage 13, hp88/88, Per +10, AC 16/12/16, Saves For+8/Ref+7/Will+13, alignment obscured

Marcel:
Sounds good. Oberlin traveled a bit in his early adventuring days and easily could have been in the River Kingdoms. Finding and hiring a purveyor of "lost" items would have likely been easier in Mivon than Brevoy.

Our New Players:

Great! That works for me. Now, you've heard of the new duchy of Frieland, and its strong ties to the churches of Erastil and Sarenrae. You've also heard of its prominent leaders: Duke Kalsgrim, Malaswyn, and Kriger.

I'll integrate you to the campaign shortly.

Marcel is going to be a bit of a rakish smartass. I plan on having more than one sarcastic comment, but at heart he's not mean-spirited. It's funny that in the very first scene together, Oberlin was hoping for drama and mood and Marcel was hoping for some backup to possibly pull a con on Kriger - for information or to scare him off. Neither character got what they wanted. So now Marcel is aiming to be a minor annoyance to Oberlin, all in the name of 'drama and atmosphere'. Always with a lighthearted grin.

*Facepalm* so, I meant to back Kal’s plan.

That's what I figured. :) I couldn't resist the chance to poke fun.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

That is pretty funny. You know, I'm liking this new and improved confident Malaswyn. Kinda reminds me of Kriger. ;)
