Nadya speaks up. "Warden is right" she says as she looks at Ragnar.
"Some of you stick out like a sore thumb. I can try to find my uncle, but what will you do? Where can I find you once I've made contact?"

Other than the bridge have we come across any landmarks that really stuck out? Maybe a lone copse of trees or a hill?

Warden-of-the-Frozen-Knot |

Well, I can be a tree, hiding among other trees...in a level, I would have "Hide Campsite", too...but other than that, I have little idea on how to ad-hoc hide Ragnar.

"How long do you think it will take you to find your uncle? If it will not take long, perhaps we could simply wait a mile off from this bridge and you can find us there."

The Many-Faced GM |

Nadya nods. "I'm not really sure. This place is a small village of sorts, shouldn't really take too long. Maybe an hour without trouble...maybe more." She turns to head into the fishing village without further ado.
True to her word, Nadya returns not long after an hour. Her expression is pained and somber as she begins. "My uncle Ringeirr has been arrested. The local fishcamp guards have him imprisoned in some guardhouse of theirs. I don't know what to do" she says as her shoulders slump.
"I don't know how to get into Whitethrone without him but a rescue attempt would surely draw more attention to you."

The Many-Faced GM |

"Are you suggesting such a thing? It would likely not be easy. There would be many eyes about. I suppose we could wait until dark, but even then it wouldn't be easy." Nadya looks deep in thought.
"So what are you proposing. Whatever it is, I'm in. I won't let my uncle rot in some cell."

Havelock Iacton |

"That is the...direct solution shall we say.
It is not like we are without resources when it comes to stealth and magic.
I rather believe we can find some less...intrusive way to free your uncle if we have a look."
"More over, if all the guards are killed, there are likely to be...reprisals even if none of the fisherfolks were to..."Squeal"."
Havelock slowly rubs his beak in thought.
"There may be reprisals even if there are no deaths, but it is less likely, and likely to be less severe in any case."

Warden-of-the-Frozen-Knot |

"What has he been arrested for?", Warden inquires expressionless - "I would think the options we should consider vary depending on the reason. Maybe it was simply smuggling, and we could pay for his freedom? Breaking and entering or murdering everyone still remain options we can pursue if we so choose."

Krystae ponders over the options. "We have another option as well. Apparently I have a twin sister that is well known around here. Perhaps we could pretend that I am her and order this man's release? Although, it is possible they are already aware of my presence in these lands and on the look out for me..."

The Many-Faced GM |

Nadya looks at Warden. "I'm not sure, something about disturbing the peace but they use that for just about anything, or anyone they want to...question."
She turned to address Krystae. "That may work...or it may put the whole village against us, I just don't know. How good are you at acting like your twin sister? What do we know about her?"

Droviz |

"Or we split the difference," Droviz suggests. "Just lure the guards out to where we can jump 'em, and then we beat them up or cut them down, whichever you prefer. If the villagers see us do it, like as not in a place like this, they'll kowtow to our faces and wait to betray us until our backs are well and truly turned and out of their village."

Warden-of-the-Frozen-Knot |

"Why don't Droviz and Krystae go to pick him up at prison?", Warden suggests, "If Krystae claims to be her sister, and Droviz a third party that paid for his release, for reasons their own but aligned with those of the Ice Queen..."
After a short pause, it adds:"Us others could hide nearby, using the cover of the dark. If there is trouble, or they see through the bluff, we can still use force to extract him."
Krystae is necessary for that, was a toss-up between Droviz or Havelock, but I think the melee warrior is better suited for starting in the middle :)

Droviz |

"Well, you're close," Droviz admits, in a light tone.
Then he reaches up and taps his mask, and his tone becomes all business.
"But with this, I can pass for human, so long as people don't look too closely. You have many fine qualities, Alchemist, but 'looking like a human' is not one of them. When pulling a con, you need the mark to feel comfortable. I'm going."

Krystae looks decidedly uncomfortable with the topic of her twin. "I know nothing about her other than what I've pieced together from those we have captured. I imagine she's probably ruthless though, especially if she is a part of these in rule here. I am willing to try it if we can get your Uncle out without too much bloodshed."

The Many-Faced GM |

The walk through the fish camps is quiet at this time of night and while no one accosts you, the smell is enough to turn even a hearty man's stomach. There are few permanent structures in this area, and even those look like they will fall over with a strong breeze. Most of the fishermen sleep in tents or lean-to's, and some make do with just a pile of blankets or an overturned boat for shelter.
The windows of norther most structure are boarded shut and the building itself is large, ugly, and unpainted. Its construction is rough and haphazard, as if it were once a smaller shack that had many additions tacked on later. The word "guardhouse," along with a crude symbol of a shield crossed by a hook, is painted on the building's only door.
Just as Nadya begins to turn the corner of a dilapidated wooden building, she freezes and ducks back behind the building. "I...I think they have ogres, standing guard."
The roll20 map has been updated. It's not pretty, but should be sufficient.
Combat has not started so you can position yourselves how you like, but being within line of site of an enemy without cover will...complicate things. You can still try to talk your way farther if you like.'

Warden-of-the-Frozen-Knot |

Leaving that decision up to Krystae and Droviz.
Warden stood close to the Wall, making sure it was not seen, keeping Fang close by.
It could always summon something, like a Bat Swarm, to try and force the guards into doing something tactically unsound...but obviously that would be no good if they were still following the original plan.
