My healing will only work on you and I. I am currently completely healed. Accept this heeling Ingrid.
Heavenly Fire: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Lorcan then proceeds to slowly check out the goblin chiefs' lair and possessions. he casts Detect magic and searches meticulously.
Take 20 Perception for 22.
He has one more color spray left and just used his last Heavenly Fire. Note that before we fight again remind Lorcan to cast a mage armor on Metzil.
Lorcan Gimblesprocket
Well I can't carry either. Seems we've beaten this goblin tribe by besting its chief. But if you say lets clear out, I am with you. He certainly takes the time to scan for magic and take weapons, armor, and other possessions from the chief and his girlfriend. He then takes a last look around.

The goblin leader has a suit of small chainmail, a small composite longbow (+1 str) and has a purse with 18 gold and 2 platinum pieces the fallen guards have 14 electrum pieces and 9 silver pieces total.
On the walls prominently hung up are three small longswords and three small heavy wooden shields.
Empty poison vials litter the ground.
Nearby is a stand with a pewter bowl which holds 273
silver and 321 copper pieces.
The tapestry is made of fine gold and silver thread of the purest quality and worth at least 400gp. Silver cup is worth 90gp.

Turk slings Meztli and Zoros on his back and prepares to carry them out of the caves. Turk carries them past the pit and trudges the long distance back to the Keep with both of them, his suit of armor, and pack without complaint. The party heads back to the Keep and camps two nights before returning at the very middle of the day. You arrive more than three days after you departed, and the guard recognizes you and calls out to you differently than before.
You arrive at the Keep on CY576.4.8@0900 --almost exactly three days after you departed.
"Stand forward to be recognized." As you step forward, two soldiers run out to meet you. "How did it go? Where did you go? What did you see?"
After listening to your responseand seeing the two injured companions, you are escorted inside of the fortress where you take your loot. The moneychanger charges 3% to change up or down any coins (303cp becomes 3 gold).
Bringing your loot to the blacksmith and general store creates quite a stir. "What do you have to sell?"
Zoros and Meztli awake from a sickbed on the following the day.
GM Tribute
Characters are responsible for splitting, tracking and selling loot. When you let me know what you are selling, I'll tell you what you get for it. Remember to take off three days of rations. You can see the XP that I am tracking in the discussion thread.
Loot includes.
Silver bowl and tapestry with gold and silver threads that depicts a Ulek hunting scene.
GM Tribute
Lorcan heads to the money changer to convert copper to gold and silver and you now have. 1043 gold, 105 electrum, 613 silver and 2 copper.
The tapestry looks valuable, and, with the hunting scene on it, you are offered 500gp for it and 90 for the silver cup!
The cheese, stand, and pewter cup bring 4 gp more.
The party looks at 1633gp, 105 ep, 613sp, and 2 cp to split five ways for portable shares of 1746.82 gp/5.
Everyone receives 349.3 gp and three silvers and 2 coppers are left over. Staying in the common room costs a silver a day and doubling up in an apartment costs 5 silver a day including meals.
Party fund for occasional expenses like bribes or buying drinks in town=3 silver and 2 copper
Zoros mentions that healing wands in the temple are 750 gold to buy. They may be worth it.
Meztli
Meztli awakens in her sickbed and rubs her head. "What happen? Where..."
"Shhhh. You were injured. Your friends brought you here for care. You are in the chapel at the Keep."
Meztli lays back on the bed and closes her eyes, letting sleep come. She would thank her companions later.
Lorcan Gimblesprocket
There is a scene of Ulek on the tapestry. It might be worth more to someone from there. Lets see if we can actually get the tapestry in town. And maybe we can find some in town from tapestry?
Perhaps we could trade the tapestry even for the wand?
Thinking about their newfound coin and their long term goal of exploring the region long term Lorcan offers up an idea. Instead of staying at the inn, perhaps we could find a small house or apartment for rent? I bet we could find something cheaper than rooms at the Inn and even hire a housekeeper to look over it for us while we are out. What'cha think?
Lorcan Gimblesprocket
Aggravated that the bard is not behind his plan, Lorcan retorts We are a team Ingrid. Singing for your room and board is fine if you want to be off on your own. You need to choose though.
And thinking about the wand he offers If we each chip in 150 of our take we still have almost 200 gold each and we can purchase that wand. Thoughts?
Are there any arcane wands available? Any partially charged wands?
GM Tribute
I am adding the CLW wand to the old time module. There really wasn't supposed a CLW wand. So you can choose any first level spell wand at CL1 with as many charges up to 50 as you want to be the wand in town.
Zoros relates the rumor that there is a wand somewhere in the caves he heard from the priests.
Zoros Kiirassi
Waking in the small room he'd been placed, Zoros at up and shook his head. Feeling chagrined at falling in combat, he checks his gear, cleans what needs it and rises to join the others.
DM, are we all healed up?
"I will contribute for that wand." Zoros says to Lorcan's question.
GM Tribute
Fully healed, the party considers their return to the Caves of Chaos.
While resting the party hears more rumors about the caves:
Beware of treachery from within the party while exploring the caves.
The big dog-men live very high in the caves.
There are hordes of tiny dog-men in the lower caves.
Piles of magic armor are hoarded in the southern caves.
One thing they seem to concur about, there are dog-men in the caves.
GM Tribute
The party equips themselves and returns to the caves after a shopping trip. Turk show Meztli the armory where he purchases a solid set of breastplate. Zoros considers buying the wand.
The journey back to the caves is uneventful. The group considers going into the same cave and following the other set of caves further into the hill, or looking for a new one.
Let me know if you buy a wand--you can pick any one wand CL1 and pay 15 per charge up to 50 charges
Lorcan Gimblesprocket
Lorcan pipes up. We are going to buy a wand of Cure Light wounds from the church for 750 gold before we split up the gold. After that we each get 7 silver shy of 200 gold. And we still have that tapestry to sell. Ingrid thinks she can get 500 gold or more for that thing.
I have recommended we try to find someone in town from Ulek and also to have a professional appraiser assess the tapestry. Can we one or both of these things?
Shopping for himself, Lorcan will purchase a scroll of Obscuring Mist and a wand of Magic Missile with 10 charges.
