Argan Midnight |
"HA HA HA!!! We're gonna...be seeing... our cells! ... Ha ha ha! Hilarious!"
DM Yodler |
Grumblejack: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5
Concentration: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
AoO: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2
The warded's eyes followed Kharn as he slide through his vision. He took a wild stab at the barbarian, coming up fruitless. The striding devil looked back at him with brimstone in his eyes, licking his lips in delight as his great sword sliced his chest exposing the crimson that every man is made of.
Grumblejack rumbled into the room, squeezing through the doorframe as usual. His new found glaive was sitting awkwardly in his hands, and his form showed it. His swing went wide striking the desk behind the warden. "Grumblejack miss!?!"
The warden quickly looked at the parchment that was in the other hand. A few whispered words later he vanished. "You should have stayed in your cages." was a whispered phrase he said as he vanished.
No AoO, he passed his concentration check of a DC 21. His AoO missed. Grumblejack missed as well.
Combat - Round 2
Eryan > Kharn > Vladamir > Grumblejack > Argan > Mathias
Eryan Duskwalker |
hoping that snuffing the torches brings the light level to dim light. Or is it already dim light? Eryan will hold his turn until the others put out the lights.
round 2
Eryan used his own magic, speaking a quick phrase in his native language and the room goes dark. heheh. Darkneth.
"Come out from hiding warden."
Argan Midnight |
Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Lol I actually did it! So I spent the whole second round focusing to get a grip... MUA HA HA!
The warden already had the parchment on hands? So he could have moved? Or did the sound denounced he stayed there longer than he should?
@Eryan what exactly are you going to do once it's dark?
Kharn The Binder |
Kharn just roars at Grumblejack.
"Go to the stairs, and make sure he can't go down them, and use your fists!"
Kharn runs out of the room, and moves directly in front of the door that leads to the other room in the tower. He will then get ready to attack if anything opens that door.
If the door opens Kharn will attack the square right next to the door.
Readied Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 3) + 9 = 15
5 rounds of rage left after round 2
Argan Midnight |
Argan tries to find traces of the target, be it sound, dust or anything else. If he didn't think the wizard came through the door he will raise and close it, waiting outside of the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Vladamir Orlovsky |
Wheres the Faerie Fire at Drow man? If everyone including Grumblejack was in the room i see no way he could get out without rolling acrobatics to move through someones square.. Being invis doesnt get you outa that..
Round 2
Vlad spins and activates his detect good ability, hoping it provide some insight..
Kharn The Binder |
Kharn's perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Kharn The Binder |
Perception at the begining of the round.: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Kharn will be basically holding his action for now unless the perception check tells him anything.
Argan Midnight |
Second Round actions:
Argan gets up and starts moving towards the stairs.
Third Round actions:
Movement stopping at the base of the 2nd floor.
Maybe I'll bump onto him
Kharn The Binder |
Kharn will actually drop back into initiative right after Argan does seeing Argan's plan and liking it.
"Grumblejack after I go down cover the stairs. Vlad, Eryan see if you can't find this crazy warden."
Kharn will double move to get down in front of the nearest door on the second floor.
Argan Midnight |
Well, I've acted already, but my movement is enough to get closer to the eastern door. Where was Vlad standing while he said that?
DM Yodler |
As soon as Vlad senses a tinge of good around the area hes in. Eryan hears a crackling sound near him. Looking up he sees the old warden in the corner, with a look of disdain on his face.
"You should have stayed in the cells"
Eryan make a DC 17 reflex save.
SR 7: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2) = 11
Wow. Your Spell Resistance saved you. Spell does no damage.
A ball of flame forms on the ground and moves directly at Eryan. Surprisingly the ball does nothing the the drow. "What sorcery is this!?".
Combat - Round 3
Eryan > Vladamir > Grumblejack > Argan > Kharn > Mathias
Kharn The Binder |
Chalk one up for drow sorcery.
Eryan Duskwalker |
Eryan watches the wizard become visible as a fireball flies at him, unable to dodge his arm comes up instinctively. Luckily the fireball does nothing.
"Haha. You should have ran while you had the chance. Do you know nothing of the Drow? Perhaps I will show you more."
"He is up here men!"
Eryan moves up to him and attacks.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
DM Yodler |
Also Eryan, don't forget to put your speech into a spoiler marked "Infernal" since you only talk and understand infernal when in combat. So Vladamir is the only one that can understand you. In this instance he can translate for you, but in the future you may not be able to communicate directly in that round. ^-^
Uber hax on the roll as well ;)
Kharn The Binder |
I speak Infernal.
Argan Midnight |
Filthy curse. Grumblejack got a new picture!
Argan hears something on the top floor but keeps looking for the wizard where he is.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
I'll lose my action in honor to the Curse!
Argan Midnight |
Ok ok, then I am going back up... You see I tried Curse of Tongues...
Grumblejack Breakneck |
Grumblejack lumbers back up the stairs with a look of disgust on his face. He roars out "Grumblejack have to go up stairs because of you, Grumblejack make you pay." With this statement he slams his fists together as he makes his way up the stairs. Making sure that he is not in the way of anyone coming up.
Argan Midnight |
Get him Grumblejack!
Kharn The Binder |
Kharn sighs as he hears Eryan's words, and runs all the way back up the stairs he just went down.
Double moving after round 3 will only have 4 rounds of rage left.
DM Yodler |
With the reality closing in on him that the individuals were closing in around him, the warden had a tinge of desperation. With a flick of his wrist he directed the ball to roll towards the wild man who gave him the gash along his chest. "May the fires of Mitra purify you!".
He breathed deeply as his clothes continues to soak blood from his wound, but he was not done yet. He gathered himself into a defensive casting pose, and began an incantation. A pair of mystic bolts of energy formed in his hands and went flying towards Eryan.
"You should have thought about swinging as opposed to talking in that infernal tongue. I did't understand it but I do know it is not of this world. The wicked shall not prevail, for his Judgement cometh and that right soon!"
Karth Make a DC 17 Reflex Save
Concentration DC 17: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Fireball Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) = 14
Magic Missile Damage @ Eryan: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 = 7
Passed Defensive Casting DC, no AoO.
If Reflex is not made Kharn, take 14 Fire Damage.
Eryan takes 7 damage from Magic Missile(s).
Combat - Round 4
Eryan > Vladamir > Grumblejack > Argan > Kharn > Mathias
Kharn The Binder |
Reflex save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Is it a reflex for half, or reflex for none?
EDIT: Kharn's reaction to making the save.
As the flames miss Kharn by a large margin Kharn looks at the warden as a disappointed parent might look at a child.
"Is this the best you can do? I'm sad that this is the best that this prison has to offer. Maybe Blackerly will be better blood sport."
Vladamir Orlovsky |
As he swings his sword.. "Your pardon's denied Warden!"
2H Attack+Smite: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 3 = 14
Damage+Smite: 1d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 1 = 13
His sword cuts deep across the warden's chest, sending blood flying onto the wall..
I figured i would throw out something cliche lol
Argan Midnight |
Holy Mitra, the man is a tanker!
"Can't you freaking kill the poor lad? What? Do you pity him? COMMON!"
Argan begins inspiring his comrades, since he has not much to do now that there's a living wall protecting the wizard from his attacks.
Kharn The Binder |
Is he down now?
