Morbar lines up two huge strikes on the stone doors with dawnbreaker and though the stone doors themselves remain intact, the bar on the opposite side splinters.
In relatively good shape, the walls of the entrance hallway display several stone sundials. A doorway to the south west opens to a rubble Strewn antechamber, whilst a makeshift curtain of woollen blankets blocks another doorway to the northeast.

Sebastian dashes forward and slices out with his kama but it passes mostly through the gap in the creature's ribs, barely nicking bone.
Meanwhile, the others attempt to meet up with their friends in a two-pronged attack as they smash open the doors and step inside the ruined tower.

Meanwhile.... down below...
Cara, Morbar, Davos and Markus warily enter the tower from below, checking every corner and shadow for movement.
A voice suddenly echoes through the tower, the shape of the building and the odd angles of the walls make it difficult to discern the direction but it talks with a hissing sibilance, like someone trying to whisper at high volume.
I was eight years old when Count Neska's troops came to Feldgrau, slaughtering the town. My family. My friends. They salted the fields and left nothing behind but a wasteland.
I survived only by hiding beneath the bodies of my family. Can you comprehend that? Can you fathom what that was like for a child?
For years I lived as an orphan, scavenging what I could from the corpses and fighting with rats for food, speaking only to the bones of the soldiers that lay in the muddy ditches. Eventually, they began speaking back. They spoke of vengeance.
One day a rider came. Dark and terrible and wonderful all at once. He said to me: "Auren Vrood, the spirits of this place have told me about you. Worry not, for you have a great role to play." A role that you fools seek to curtail. Come then, if you must.

Caradwen |

Caradwen feels a chill at the recount, but stands fast, even though not knowing where the voice is coming from, her lips and hands going through well known gestures of arcane protection - "Come now Vrood, you're not going to play the 'Oh I am so unfortunate' card now, are you?" - she sounds defiant - "This world is filled with horrible life stories, and of people who overcome their inner monster - yours is but an excuse for a weak will. Your grief is not small, but not bigger than any other - you need to get over yourself" - she finishes with a wink to her closest companions.

Hearing that voice once again, Markus is brought back to everyone he's been through since the Harrowstone. His fits ball up, and he shouts out through gritted teeth. "Vrood! You speak of evils! You have seen it all first hand yet you decide to continue it! I have nothing left but vengeance on you! Maybe you have won that battle but today you will die and i will salt and burn your bones and scatter them to the wind! - There will be no coming back from this."
Markus then begins to cast a spell grabbing a small chain he throws it at the ground summoning a purple hued chain that floats in the air. Then scans around the room looking for Vrood.

"Life is what you make of it! You bring the pain and disappointment to this world! You and your kind are a festering evil and wishing to wash over everything that is good and innocent." He then reaches for the silk ribbon and wraps it around his hand holding his holy symbol. "You destroy peoples lives. Kendra had nothing to do with this! You were too weak to face us so you cowered away and took something sweet and pure from this world."
Markus then run forward in the room proper. "Desna stands against you today Vrood! We are blessed, You are all talk! I will see you dead, now show yourself so i can see the face of the man i will kill. For revenge. For the people you have killed and the lives you've destroyed."

Caradwen |

It's probably not coming across but I wanted you to have some interaction with the big bad beyond roll initiative and kill. So I have him talking here and his voice is echoing around the tower, he could be anywhere in the building
I'm enjoying it Jam - games can't be just hack and slash, and this one definitely has not been thus far. Also, taking into account that this could be one of those 'roll initiative and get killed' situations, it is good to be able to voice some ideas ahead of time :D
"I would listen to him Vrood" - Caradwen adds sarcastic - "And I wasn't offering you my pity. I might had done it before, but not after you have taken Kendra - that was your biggest mistake, and the one you will pay most dearly for" - her tone becomes more serious - "We have plodded through everything you threw at us, and now we are going to plod over you, and it is not going to be pleasant. Believe me, dwarven boot is not a taste you'd want in your mouth, yet you're gonna feel it"

GM-JZ |

Kendra had nothing to do with this!
Who? replies the echoing voice, with a tinge of confusion.
not after you have taken Kendra
You accuse me of something of which I have no knowledge, no doubt transferring your own sins on to one you do not understand. It matters not, all I seek to do is cleanse this world of the filth that has infested it. Even now you represent the Palatine Eye, an organisation founded on decadence and mendacity.

Morbar edges forward and ducks his head around the corner.
He sees a long chamber run from the foyer to the rear of the tower, ending in a mountain of collapsed rubble. At the far end of the room stands a large pavilion of thick canvas sheets.
The rest continue to move up, wary and watchful. Cara nearly sends an arrow whistling toward the huge bat creature that swoops down through the tower before she realises it is Jon.
