Well, at level 7 I'll have to decide whether I want to inconvenience you guys with a large creature, or swap out for something medium sized. If I went medium, I'd drop bodyguard and go for share spell with Shield of Wings. I could get away with large if it can fly, but I want to have something with an int score and decent attacks.

Mort has generously offered slide 20 for a general marching order slide so we can play with formations. I have made the first iteration of one based on Mort's general positioning, and the feedback I got from you all.
It helps with lines, small cones, and radiuses. We could get more aggressive a spread out further but I don't want to leave Father unprotected. I'm not married to this option so change it as you like.
Also, the exact positioning will not work for every placement on the map so we may get bumped around to deal with tree, mud etc.

Yeah I deleted two hobgoblins,then copy pasted to Slide 8, making adjustments for scorched trees. Assume the rocks are scorched trees, you see, they didn't provide me with a map for this so I had to improvise.
Just a heads up I set it assuming a south to north movement. Hedran and Ratel in the front. So rotate as needed or I can one for each direction of travel. Tomorrow, it's time to sleep.

For interpretation of Powerful, unnatural creatures I went for:
1) Only aberrations, constructs, most outsiders (no elementals) and undead are unnatural. These are just weird things; they don't eat, most of them don't breath etc.
Hedran - for copying spells the invisibility scroll is gone forever. A wizard can also add a spell to his book whenever he encounters one on a magic scroll or in another wizard’s spellbook. No matter what the spell’s source, the wizard must first decipher the magical writing (see Arcane Magical Writings). Next, he must spend 1 hour studying the spell. At the end of the hour, he must make a Spellcraft check (DC 15 + spell’s level). A wizard who has specialized in a school of spells gains a +2 bonus on the Spellcraft check if the new spell is from his specialty school. If the check succeeds, the wizard understands the spell and can copy it into his spellbook (see Writing a New Spell into a Spellbook). The process leaves a spellbook that was copied from unharmed, but a spell successfully copied from a magic scroll disappears from the parchment.

One more thing is that if you use pearls of power to cast it, each time you regain a spell from a pearl of power it takes a standard action so you're wasting time in combat.
But since it's pretty much been out of combat use, this has never come up.

OK, I've done a survey about it, the animal numbers given are rather inaccurate, but again, what were you expecting from someone who's never done a study of animals of that region in RL that it mimics?
For future commune with nature spells for creatures, I will no longer give exaxt figures(I'll just get midly, moderately and densely populated) since going down that route seems to just invite criticism on me getting the numbers wrong, and truly there is no way I can verify their accuracy - since I was doing a quick Google search for animal numbers.
In order to get accurate numbers, it would require a lot of research on the internet if such data could be found(I'm not sure if pausing the game for a week would actually be sufficient), furthermore for amphibians, it's hard to estimate how large the area of the river is by just a map, so the numbers will be off.
Thesis on? I'm curious.
