Just did an update.
@Bonewright - Let me know when you want to 'scavenge' from a body etc, and I'll give you GP value of bones that you collect. You can use that value towards crafting items, e.g. if a scroll would cost 25gp, you can 'spend' 25gp worth of bones on it. Make sense? Obviously, the more exotic/powerful their owner, the more the bones will be 'worth'.

Please use this Discussion thread to divvy up loot. I realize that burdening you down with multiple furs, axes etc. for barter purposes is less efficient than simply handing out gold, but unless it gets really silly we'll assume that the mammoth can carry them. Perhaps someone would like to volunteer to keep track of 'party treasure' on a google doc or something.
At the moment, you are better off with someone taking the masterwork and iron weapons to use.
...and having watched Apocalypto last night, I remain convinced that stone daggers are perfectly acceptable!

Bonewright |

Bonewright would like to scribe the Charm Person into his "spellbook", if that's okay. There's a reasonable scribing cost, I know.
Bonewright has the iron dagger (for now).
Yeah - the bone thing sounds great!
Not sure how the others feel about "desecrating the bodies". Thinking that skulls might make sense (as they house the brain, repository of memory, and have jaws). Happy to leave Garrilk alone in case you can bring him back as undead.
Also happy to track "group/trade items" on a spreadsheet if people want. I maintain a stupid amount of google docs anyway! Just say the word.

I'm all leveled up.
DM said via PM it was cool if I made us a map to use. So I made this map.
You can add images to it by either copy+pasting the image in from another tab in your browser, or saving an image to your hard drive and then going to Insert->Image->Choose and Image to Upload.
After they're in there you can drag the corners to resize them to match the grid. If you want one image to be on top of another, right-click it and go to order. Move it as needed.
I drew out a 20' template (the red dotted line under our characters). It can be copied as needed, and the color can be changed. For instance to represent a torch you could make it yellow. Then line it up with the character holding the torches's icon and hold down ctrl, then click the icon. Then select group. You can then drag the character around and the "torch" will follow.
Same thing goes for distinguishing like enemies. You can use the text box tool (on the toolbar at the top T inside the square) and make an appropriately sized one over the monster's image. Then ctrl-click them and group them. You can then copy and paste it and double click the numbers to change them. I've made a few example orcs on the right side.
Finally, this map is rather large. So once we resize images folks may have trouble seeing them. You can get quite a bit more detail by zooming in.
It's set so that anyone can edit it, but I figure we should leave that mostly to DM Stubbs to avoid things happening out of order in combat.

Wheatbeard |

Wheatbeard knows he has light prepared.
He is afraid of being labeled a witch, though that fear is diminishing the longer he is with the group.
Mainly, his nature as a more-or-less hermit means he's not used to considering the senses of non-dark keen races; the thought doesn't occur to him.

How taking 20 and the Knowledge skill interact, for those who are interested:
If the skill doesn't allow you to attempt the same task more than once, or if failure carries an inherent penalty (such as with the Climb skill), you can't take 20.
Try Again
No. The check represents what you know, and thinking about a topic a second time doesn’t let you know something that you never learned in the first place.

Bonewright |

* Where does the iron come from
* What is the orc line of attack (through the mud pits etc)
* Who is allied with the orcs
* what is this orc's name (guilt mostly)
bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Bonewright doesn't want to kill someone he has "befriended" so if he can rationalise the guy has terrible information and send him to find Bampfwick he's happy to do so - but I suspect Bonewright's friends will not be so forgiving.
