Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

Makes sense to me, especially since that is the area of Golarion where they originate from iirc.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Gin is now Elasbeth's personal food cart.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

lol!

I am having fun with this whole food thing, I'm glad I thought of it.

@ Helikon, do you just want to tell us what the metal is and the value of the silverdisks, and assume we went shopping, to bed and then start tomorrow?

Or, will we role play the black smith and then shopping?

also should we go to the gambling house tonight or is tomorrow OK?

I will.
You can trade the silverdisk in the trading hall for 10gold.
They are also used as chips for gambling.

what were the three pieces of metal that the gremlins had?

If you ask a smith he will tell you its skymetal and he will pay 3d100 ⇒ (51, 23, 27) = 101 GP for those three pieces.

Rules for the casino.
In the inventation you will get a starting pot of 10 silverdisks. PER PERSON.
You can invest bet up to 5 silverdisks per game.
You then roll profession gambler DC 15
So 14 and below you lose your stakes.
15-19 you break even.
20+ you double your stakes.
Tell me if and how do you go. Packed for heat, or packed for leasure.

So we sell the silverdiscs and the skymetal from the cave add our other gold we have 771 gp 5 cp. we can keep that pooled or we can split it up. If we split Gin and Elasbeth both get 315.5 and Kunala gets 140 because he got the shirt and lockpicks. Do we want to go gamble tonight or do either of you want to make any purchases?

A cure light wound wand would be 750 gp.

also, Kunala sold his kikko armor and the mace, then purchased an armored kilt. he put the remaining money in the kitty to repay what he borrowed.

OH you can substitue Sense Motive for Card games.

Ok, now that we are resting we get second level skills right? Kunala has added several rogue skills, including linguistics so he will pick up Andoffan, we'll assume he purchased a "Andoffan for dumbies" at the nearest "barns and nobles" {notice how I spelled "barn" there like the barn you keep your cow in)

yea second level

AM no. You can not learn andoffan on the fly. I did say so in the beginning.

I did not remember that but it makes sense, Just trying to fill the language gap, I will put the skill point elsewhere, thanks

Are we waiting for Gin to declare if he is going to the gambling house or something else?

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Im comin.. busier weekend than normal

It's cool I was just checking, I didn't know if there was anything else :)

now feeling like a jerk

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

S'alright heck I tend to be more active than most so it isnt strange to not be for a chance.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

So who do we have as pc's now besides Gin, Kunala and myself? I suspicion that Miniri won't be back anytime soon since Emerald Duke is already a week overdue to return in another game I play with him. So we have any others left?

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Well, The Hunter quit so it is just us three.. so we may need one more, though I believe strength-wise we are fine.

I was hoping to pick up the language but Helikon reminded me that was not permitted. If one of us had the language I would feel comfortable with just the three of us. without the language I'm not sure...

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Exactly.. We need at least one person with the language and they must be somewhat knowledgeable a well.

yeah I went with the "communication" skills hoping everyone else would know everything, you know pretty but dumb :) do you think we can get through the ship/cave thingy and try and get someone latter or do we need someone now? I was kind of hoping "the emerald duke" would come back after the work stuff was done, I'm in two other games with him,

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

The group from what I saw had 5 to begin with and I think HERE is probably the best spot to add them before we go back down, That was we leave the spot open for Emerald Duke but can continue ahead.

sounds like a plan, do we want to invite another player we know or post in recruitment?

edit: or if we really like just three, I could rewrite Kunala as I had mentioned earlier to cover some of the areas. I will still play the same personality since that is what drew me too him. Just an idea, I don't really care either way.

@ Helikon, as GM what is your preference sir?

I think we should recruit a number 4. Maybe someone like a cleric of brigh so that ED can return.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Or a Warpriest of Brigh.. Either or.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

I would strongly suggest a cleric or or oracle as they get very important spells that I never will, like the restoration chain, heal/harm, mass cures. I will only ever be able to cast the basic cures and eventually breath of life, at best I can be a backup healer and no more than that.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

So now we wait on the GM to set up a Recruitment call unless anyone has someone in mind?

You can meanwhile think about going shopping ;-)

Helikon:
would it be metagaming to much to ask Gustav to pick up the language Androffan instead of Orc

Andoffan:
is nice to have but not a must. And he needs to take a trait for it.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Hrm it would be good if the guy has Androffan OTHERWISE we wont know what the hell the things say.. which will be bad. And thats kinda what Miniri also filled as well.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

So far we just have this guy which Im not opposed to.. simply wanted to make sure it is given a bump or two before choosing.

Helikon:

Helikon, since you were willing to let me change Kunala a little going to second level when we discussed it earlier in the game, what do you think of me switching Kunala's feat to technologist and learn Andrlffan. It would fit the Vishkanya character since his back story is to be a spy to steal technology.

He could take Gin and Elasbeth into his confidence and tell them the "truth", that he could understand Andriffan the whole time but as a spy not knowing who he could trust.

It would give us back the language and the feat with out adding more than one character. Also it would "reattach" Kunala to the original idea. I should have done that from the beginning. What would be the point of a spy who doesn't understand what he is spying on.

Robert. Send me a mail with how you see Kunala. Please. You have changed him 3-4 times now.

I have PM'd you, It was only one change honest. please read the PM, but ignore the change request, I'm just getting nervous about adding people :)

the next time we go back to the forge I will ask Gustav to look at the thing we killed the first night, and see if he can tell why it was so hard to kill, maybe find a few pointers on killing them better. It seems our experts at the time never informed us.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Which thing?

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

Before you and I joined Gin, Kunala is the only surviving original player.

this was the 43rd post in gameplay. There were individuals who found out some knowledge {under a spoiler) that was never shared with the team...

one thing was clear, it was a pain to kill, and it would be nice to know why, so maybe we have an expert look at it when we get back

If you describe the thing your newest addition can tell you this: There are rumours of strange soldiers of the technic union, who are also very hard to kill. But he does not know more

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

I would assume just hitting it harder would solve the problem. When you all said that the Gremlins were an issue Gin saw no real problem.

Noted. Consider me familiar, but not tooooo familiar.

A lot of work on my table will post tonight. Do not move forward, but you can and should have a talk. Lets say you are down for 3 hours, time for a snack and a little bit better get-to-know

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Sure.

Just throwing my 2 cents worth into the discussion on 5' steps and stand up. The issue is not as clear cut as it might seem. the argument can be made in both directions and it doesn't seem to have ever been clarified by anyone official that I could find.

Technically standing up is a move equivalent action, but so is drawing a weapon, so by Helikon's version if you take a 5 foot step you can do neither. It may make sense that you can't stand up and 5 foot, but does it make sense you can't 5' and draw a weapon?

This is a point that it is unlikely anyone will agree on as it is too ambiguous as written. If anyone does find something official, feel free to link it.

hey Gin the good news is there is a feat that allows you to "turn your blade" just like that, check it out weapon versitality: shift your grip as a swift action so that your weapon deals bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Well you dont need a feat, you can just do it normally it takes a -4 though. the Feat makes it better however if you want to make it an anytool. May take it though Seems good enough and Gin isnt Hurting for feats.

Just after waking up I will give you a simple physical notion. If I draw a weapon, direct a spell etc, my center of gravity stays more or less the same. Standing up means changing your center of gravity in a profound manner.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

If you swing a weapon your body is moving much more and changing violently compared to standing up. Considering how fast and strong some characters and some weapons require to be effective at causing mortal wounds that argument holds no water. A monk flurries doing 6 roundhouse kicks in a circle there is little chance his center of gravity has change. A fighter Swings a greatsword with all his strength 3 times or in a massive arch against 3 opponents.

Funnily enough Most of the time when you stand straight up you back up a little to right yourself.

We spend about a quarter of an hour last night at our weekly PFS meeting with our 2 PFS Game masters to discuss movement stand-up and 5-foot step.
First of all this means what counts for you counts for the enemy.
Stand-up is first listed under movement in the printed Rulebook. Direct a spell and draw a weapon or potion are listed as move equivalent actions.
So I will finally rule that you can´t do a 5.foot step after standing up.
